Overall we enjoyed our stay here. The cons: AC broke first 3 days (4-5 maintenance requests), dinner reservations (ate every meal at buffet bc that was a fiasco), reserved pool chairs (what are you people doing for 6 hours?), rude tourists that don’t understand how a line or personal space work (seemed worse here for some reason compared to other places) The pros: buffet food was really good (only if you go within 1-2hours max of opening, otherwise long lines and running out of foods), staff, entertainment for kids, perfect location for xcarat parks/playa del Carmen/tulum excursions. It’s about 75 min from Cancun airport so close to all the places I just listed. Get the private transportation not shared bc it took MTS almost 2.5 hours to get us to the hotel w/ other stops.

Everything about this property was awesome. The food was succulent, and the unlimited drinks from so many different bars wwas awesome. Please i won't forget the snack bars which stays open everyday until 3:00 am. And please when you're going to the buffet please ask for Alfredo. You're not only getting the best service but he will make your stay a memorable one

That was yesterday morning before we left. My wife went for a quick breakfast I just went to enjoy a few glasses of Margarita before I hit the road

We were able to use all the facilities buffets and drinks at the other 3 hotels associated with the Bahia Principe Hotels & Resorts for free. Not sure if that was because we had points with Expedia or because we booked through Expedia. Our hotel was great and getting to experience the other hotels amenities was an added bonus. Food was delicious and staff was auper friendly. Make aure you download the app, it will save you time checking in and doing reservations.

Very clean, organized, delicious food! We had gone to Bahia back in 2018 and we liked it! Specially if you have kids! They had fun in the diffeent pools! They loved the kids club! We decided to go again june 2025 and it didnt disappoint.. great customer service, there's lots to do at the resort no need to get out of there. We will be back!

We recently stayed at Grand Bahia Principe Coba and really enjoyed the beautiful grounds and excellent service. Miguel, Manuel, and Alfredo were especially helpful and made us feel welcome every day. However, there were a few drawbacks. We kept getting conflicting information from staff about schedules, activities, and access to other Bahia resorts, which was frustrating. We were also disappointed that we couldn’t reserve an à la carte restaurant for four people unless we bought an expensive bottle of wine. The food was good, but it got repetitive after a few days, and we were hoping for more authentic Mexican options, which were limited. While we appreciated many aspects of our stay, these issues would keep us from returning.

Just finished a one week stay at coba. Overall experience was good. Staff were friendly for the most part, food was good, and drinks were great. Rooms are becoming a little dated, and beach was unfortunately pretty rocky but overall nothing that made the trip not enjoyable. I do want to say thank you to Ernesto at the sports bar. He made my friends and I’s trip so so fun. Took care of us, was very attentive, and just made us feel very welcomed. Overall, good stay and would recommend for someone who wants to save a little and doesn’t need all the bells and whistles of a luxury resort.

First and foremost, I didn’t get any notification regarding what had happened to the main lobby and that it was closed and under construction. There was a small lobby area assigned for check ins, which was crowded and the staff was slow and unwilling to make any accommodations. They all seem “money hungry”, they just want to rip people off. The room was old and needs serious upgrades. It smelled like humidity, the AC wouldn’t cool down the room enough, all the nights we spent were just miserable and hot. The shower kept spilling water outside as the glass isn’t properly
