We loved the entire staff. The property needs a facelift the elevators have been broken for all of the four years we've been to The Golden Parnassus. The food definitely took a nose dive this year but, try to remember you get what you pay for. This resort does cost probably half of what some of the other adult only resorts charge.

We have stayed here many times. The staff members make this place great. The location to activities and the airport are great. That being said the buildings are old and falling apart. There is usually more activities by the pool but not this trip. There were no nightly shows either. We stayed 1/31/25-2/6/25. Hopefully they do some renovations.

The food wasn’t great and the drinks are watered down unless you ask for a specific alcohol but the staff made up for it. They were super friendly, helpful, and made it worth the trip.

Great staff and good food don't make up for the old, poorly maintained facility. The staff were amazing. They were enthusiastic and willing to help guests. They had a travel service (Mexico Travel Solutions) on-site - helpful to arrange excursions. MTS was great. The food was good and the waiters were amazing, but the variety promised on the website wasn't there. Many of the on-site restaurants were only open a few days per week or only during limited hours. We never saw one of the restaurants (the creperie) advertized on their website. The facility has issues that need to be fixed. During our stay, only one of the two elevators worked, which led to lengthy wait times to use the elevators. There were buckets and towels catching water leaks on the sixth floor. The outdoor jacuzzi pool was broken. Because the weather and ocean water were colder than normal when we were there, that meant that we didn't get in the water at all. The indoor women's sauna and jacuzzi were broken. The telephone in the room for one of our group members was broken. 24/7 room service is great, but not if you can't order it. There was a grand total of three plugs in our room. So when we arrived from our flight after travelling for 18 hours, we had to prioritized which devices to charge. When we arrived, we had no towels in our room. We asked for towels twice that morning, but did not receive them until six hours later. That was the only exception for the good rating for the staff.

Pros: staff was incredibly nice. Cons: Everything. Food was mediocre, mold everywhere, bugs. Looks like they are just letting the place fall apart. Not just what the other reviews say of old, no this is falling down. Pictures online must be from when they first open. Even the beach, was nice but the chairs are so close and not ideal for beach. Just wouldnt stay here again. If thats how they treat the place, I cant imagine the food sanitation.

Leaking roof and ceiling. Broken elevators. Food variety and quality has gone down. Lacking front desk staff. We have stayed here2 other times and it has really gone down. All of the stucco has cracks and missing pieces. There is black mold around the vents in the restaurant. I have pictures I can share. This hotel is not a 3 star hotel and should be downgraded.

The resort is a little old and needs a little bit of a facelift. However, the food is delicious. The staff is amazing. And for the price, you absolutely can’t beat it. It’s in a great neighborhood with a beautiful beach.

I was very disappointed with the hotel facilities, old and rundown, furniture in room was old. The hotel was not a 4-star The room was filthy, and the showers were not clean. One bottle of soap and shampoo for two people. The TV in the room was not working for some days. The telephone was not working. I had to chase housekeepers and the reception team for towels. There was always a long line at reception. Seeing there was one receptionist for a big hotel. We booked tours with the hotel booking company and were told the tour company would pick us up from the hotel and drop us back at the hotel, which was a lair.

Although many on here seem to think this is a 2/10 resort, I am unsure as to why. You do not go to these resorts worrying about if a few paint chips are missing. The rooms are clean, the staff is great, it’s clean, the food is good, and it has a beautiful beach. Do not expect a palace but you won’t be disappointed. Far superior to Cuba and a step above DR.

This property should be shut down effective yesterday! Dirty, unsafe, sewer smell in rooms, mold on mattress, stains on pillow cases and bed sheets. Walked onto property & spent 10 hours on phone with booking company to get me and my wife out of there. Couldn’t run fast enough from this place. If you want a real resort book Wyndham grand Cancun right down the road from this trap house they call a resort…Expedia this place is hurting your name

There is nothing to like about this property and no one should ever stay here. Expedia should take it off of their website and not allow people to book it through them. Expedia should have changed a relocation service for us to get another location rather than stay in this disgusting location.
