Some of the front desk representatives were a little nasty.. Particularly a middle aged / younger Hispanic woman. The cocktails had a very distinct “soapy” taste and even the juices.. room service was great as well as the rooms. My room was not ready when I came so they tried to downgrade me to a lower quality room and I absolutely wasn’t for it. After complaining for a while they gave me the room I paid for! The spa was great and relaxing.. the food choices at the restaurants were a 7/10.. the pools and ocean view were amazing ! I also love that they had an app.. WiFi was pretty terrible

We had a fantastic time at the Breathless Riviera Cancun Resort! The service was superb and the location is great. We enjoyed the shows and the food, and loved lounging in the pools. Would definitely return!

Celebrated my birthday at Breathless with a 5 day 4 night stay. Booked a xhale swimup room , the VIP services were great, our concierge America was very helpful , she always made sure to ask us how our stay was going and helped us with anything we needed. The staff was really the highlight at this resort everyone was so kind and helpful. Hugo and Luis at the VIP bar, Manuel at the pool service all provided excellent service. What needs improvment is the music playlists, you would hear the same music you heard at the pool at the nightclub, by day 2 you knew what song was next lol. Other then that I had a great stay!

Not a Cancun expert but our first visit to Breathless was exceptional. Management has done an excellent job assembling a team that truly cares about each & every guest. The grounds were impeccably maintained. With every turn there was something new being presented (dining events, remote themed bars, pop up entertainment and so much more. As someone who has been in the resort business for almost 40 years I was sincerely impressed! We wanted for nothing. Special props go out to Ricardo, Margarito & Thomas, they are awesome. Congrats to Management & ownership!

The air conditioning in my room didn’t work the entire stay. Made resort aware and they didn’t choose to assist me until and change my room until the night before my departure. Ordered room service twice and the food never arrived. Overal resort was nice but was not able to get any good rest with the room be severely humid.

The property in general was very nice and clean. The beach area is very small and closed off so you can’t really walk far. Dinner options are not by reservation, food was good but not amazing. Entertainment was fun.

Disappointed that being a gold Expedia member I was supposed to get a room upgrade and spa treatment and didn’t. I also requested a room away from the dj pool and received a room facing the dj booth! Many people had banners on their doors for birthdays, anniversaries, etc and even though I let them know it was our 25th anniversary we did not get one for our room. This is our 2nd time here and pleased with the cleanliness of the property and staff are amazing! Rooms need a little tlc now as the property is aging.

First and foremost, the good. Breathless Riviera was great! The accommodations and staff were wonderful. A good blend of ages and demographics. My husband and I are mid-40s and were about average. The restaurants had plenty of variety. There was a party pool for folks looking to get a little cray-cray and a more laid back pool for those of us who are old and don’t understand all the bubbles. But you need to watch the party pool’s show at least once. The bongo drummer is AWESOME!! There was a ton of things going on all day, lots of entertainment, and tons of food EVERYWHERE. If you love wine, Antonio, the Sommelier, was PHENOMENAL. Making reservations with him and dining in his private wine room was hands down the best part of the trip. Now, for the not so great. The beach. I’m a beach and ocean girl so I was very disappointed in the beach and water. It isn’t the beautiful blue water that you get at Isla Mujeres. The beach does have powdery sand but it is also rocky in places. Dinner. The first day my husband and I wondered why everyone left the pool around 4 o’clock. Then, at 6:30 that night when we wanted to eat dinner, we quickly found out the answer: the wait. If you want to eat at any of the restaurants, you need to be dressed and ready by 5ish. Otherwise, it will be 9pm before your buzzer goes off. Other than that, it was a wonderful getaway for my hubby and me for his birthday!
