I enjoyed the pool and beach area. The food was ok. I would have liked a dinner buffet.

Very disappointed in our stay at Breathless. Upon arrival the check in process was very slow. The receptionist had us verify the ocean view room and number of occupants. When we were taken to our room we did not have an ocean view in fact we were placed in the back building with a view of the pools the room had an odd stench, there was no air and the hot water did not work. Additionally there was nothing in our mini bar or refrigerator. We called the desk and were told we would have to wait until 3pm the next day to move. There were also ants everywhere in the room. The next day we did move to a new that somewhat offered a view of the ocean (if you stood in the far right corner of the balcony) and the tops of the pool facilities which was not at all desirable. The food at the “steak house” was absolutely terrible. My friends steak was literally a hunk of fat, the medallions were tough, the Argentine sausage was sooooooo salty. The Italian restaurant gave my friend a bowl with three pieces of pasta, my rigatoni was far too salty and the chicken parm had no pasta. The staff seemed to be extremely stressed and inattentive. Lastly, the omelette bar cheese was moldy which was alarming. Lastly, I am not sure the alcohol being served was real. I drank several cocktails at the pool bar and did not feel even tipsy. Very disappointed in my stay, I can’t say I would not recommend this property to anyone and can’t say I will try them again in the future.

Good resort, friendly staff, good food during the day but I was a little disappointed with the dinner options. Entertainment is good during the day, very cheesy at night. Pool is nice but they play way too much techno music which gets annoying.
You guys promoted “everything” was open, well it’s not. Half the resort is shut down. There was only certain restaurants open on certain days. There was no night clubs open at all. The party pool was shut down so there really wasn’t much to do. Was very disappointed with our stay

Great/friendly/attentive staff, except for the hostess at French restaurant. Beach dirty due to lagoon draining into ocean, formal attire requirement for restaurants not a great deal.
Pros: The staff were amazing from the time I checked in and throughout my stay all over the grounds. They were friendly, personable, and always willing to engage in a conversation in effort to be helpful or just cordial. The amount of a la carte restaurant options were also great, especially since reservations were not required (except for the hibachi restaurant). The outdoor furniture looked a bit worn out and can probably just be replaced, as it did not look outdated. Overall, it was a beautiful resort with lots to do on the resort. Cons: The things I disliked were that my room was not cleaned daily until the evening...one evening it was not cleaned until almost 6pm. The other thing I disliked was the lack of diversity in the music at the party pool; the DJ only played techno music and informed us that he was contractually not allowed to mix up the music and play other styles such as Latin, hip-hop, pop, etc. Lastly, I got a massage at the spa which sucked a$$! The massage therapist wavered between feeling like she was lightly rubbing on body lotion to using her elbows to dig into my bony areas. My guess was that she was not a licensed masseuse, but for the money they charged, she definitely should've been! Overall, I would stay again!

I wasn't happy with the check-in process... There was NONE. We just wanted around, no one asked us to help. Did not seem like the check-in people liked their jobs either. Not friendly what so ever. The only great about this hotel is the food was superb and the party.
It’s nice hotel But No beach access far away from everything. The Toilet in the room is hard to press down with the push button broke my nails and cut on skin finger when pressing down to flush. The room smells like a dead body or rats. the bed sheet smells bad, and the pillows are very hard. The food was alright everything made very salty. Not enough lounge chairs for everyone to lay out. I would recommend to anyone who like to party.
Just returned from the Breathless, and it was OUTSTANDING. I’m ready to plan our next stay there! I’ve been traveling to Mexico for the last 20 years and this resort is by far in the top 2 BEST I’ve ever stayed at! I have so many positive things to say!
Breathless was amazing!! Best resort in Cancun. Has everything from pool party’s to yoga! The spa was so nice and clean. The staff was so nice and remembered who you where. Food was out of this world
Overall a great stay. I’d say the buffet is fairly average but I rarely ate there because there are many great sit down restaurants—the best part is you don’t have to stand in line for reservations except for hibachi. Delicious food and good drinks. The beach wasn’t the greatest in this area but three pools and several huge hot tubs made up for that. The entertainment was ok. Service was great!
Horrible service at the vacation club membership our ID was held until we paid them a fee which we didn’t want to sign up for...
