I had reserved according to the photos supplied by Orbitz, come to find out during my check in that they put me in a neighboring building Garza Blanca still under construction. The building was of a modern look, new and clean. I was not expecting this plus they put me right next to a second tower under construction. It was very loud, hammering, and construction cranes. Unable to rest during the day the construction activities started at 7:30-8am every day including Sunday, could not relax by the pool the beach front was filled of sea debris. I had wear ear plugs all day by the pool. I asked to be moved to a quiet area. The receptionist told me they were completed booked and was not able to help me. I basically had to beg and explain I suffer from migraine the noise from the construction site was aggravating. He called Villa del Palmar and mentioned they might be able to move me but I needed to wait until after 3pm. I was at this time frustrated and asked him if the construction goes on on Sunday. He mentioned since is Sunday only small operations at the construction site and that it should be quieter. I decided to stay in my current room, but was a mistake since the next day was as loud. I purchased the package thinking was going to stay at Villa del Palmar Beach Resort but that was not the case. Also besides the loud construction noise the music at the pool was constantly playing and loud. They might have done this to cover the construction noise, but just made it worse.

The staff was very friendly and helpful and the property was beautiful.

Unbelievably beautiful a bit pricey for amenities or food if you don’t do the all inclusive package.

Hotel great, but like other reviews, the police immediately outside resort pull visitors over, make you get out of car and demand cash. Been to Mexico several times, but this hotel is in middle of nowhere, police generally are great, but these police are Know to rob you until you pay, we had kids in the back seat, Scared to death, when police pulled us out of car 930am. You are basically trapped in hotel or robbed. Hotel is Very aware of the problem.

Was greeted warmly and check in was quick and efficient. The hotel overbooked when we were there and did not have our room anymore so they gave us a free upgraded room, which was absolutely amazing!! Probably the best hotel suite my husband and I have ever experienced. Overall great stay and would not hesitate to come back!

Everything was amazing except the food. Buffet meh but grill Stations great. Loved everything else especially the location of resort and layout

-very nice hotel -all inclusive package was definitely worth the money as room service was my best friend lol -zamas was the best restaurant on the property -the beach does have a lot of seaweed but they gave plenty pools to make up for it -staff is super courteous -january is a good month to travel here not hot at all 9.0 out of 10

The Hotel was beautiful. The room was clean. We expected more from the food. They water down or week there alcohol. We spent over $3000 on all inclusive and expected a whole lot more. One day me and my friends had over 11 drinks am we didn’t feel any of the alcohol. I am a very light drinker and if I have two drinks I feel the alcohol normally . The last day we ran into some people and they said that they had went to the sushi restaurant out and all five of them got sick. It was very sad we went to the Italian restaurant the food was amazing but they did not know how to cook pasta. Every dish we had that had with pasta so was undercooked. All the food there is very oversalted. We were there for their New Year’s eve party. We had asked previous to the party if we need reservations. They said no. We got there a New Year’s and they said they had no table for us? At the New Year’s Eve party it was so unorganized and scattered there were so many open tables. On countdown to the new year there clock stopped at 1.37. The band could not get the music going . It was just another let down at the hotel. They need to work on their food. They need to stop water down the alcohol. They need to get a better events and activity planner that helps their staff plan everything through a little better . I expect more when I spent over $3000 on a holiday. I have vacationed better hotels with better food and drinks for a lot less money.

The only thing we didn't like was that the water from the bathroom sink, it had a bad like smell and taste. Of course we use it just for washing the face and teeth but it was horrible. Apart from that, everything was very nice!

Terrible location very far from everything police check point right out front of hotel asking if we had ben drinking. room smelled of mildew and sewage chargds 10$ per day per device for wifi my jacket was stolen by staff hotel food was terrible Bland tasteless poor ingredients complete rip off for service recieved charging for any extras trying to pump a vip card down our throats to save 15% on in house purchases. Poor alcohol selection beers tasted terrible as if they were old outdated. I would never stay here again and would recommend to no one portrayed as a high end hotel but far from it stay away

Currently, it is in construction. So, for instance the italian restaurant is not available and they told us that it was (wich is not a big deal, but why to lie?). We stay just for one night on our way out of cancun, we were coming from tulum. The resort was nice, but it is under construction and they have a sort of generator on the back of the hotel that is extremely loud impossible to slep. Since our flights was late during the day, we wanted to do late checkout, they were planning to charge us the same amount of night for each hour of late check out. It was unbelievable. I wouldn't recommend this resort.

Spent 5 days here and had a fantastic time. We took a red eye from California so arrived super early 7:30 am to hotel. Check-in isn't until 4pm but Gad was able to find us available rooms. This meant the world to us. Had a fantastic pool waiter named Wilbur, he was fantastic. Also the gentleman who tends to your towels and umbrellas went above and beyond. The food is great. Berry salad at the steakhouse was my favorite and the Crunchy fried rice at the sushi restaurant was to die for. My favorite drink there was the Pear Mojito. Rooms were spotless, comfortable and had a beautiful hammock on each balcony. Had the best time ever.

Dear Police, We are very sorry to heard what you experienced outside the hotel, unfortunattely is a common practice that the police in mexico take advantage of their position, so when they stop you for some reason ( speed limits is the common one) they will ask you for money insted of providing you a fine. We are aware of this situation, and in every case we are able to get the relevant information such as car unit number or police names, we act accordinly by letting their superior know and we know they have cero tolerance with this, but the information is vital so they can act.
