I love to see the beautiful green vegetation around the resort!! I love to see it being so well-maintained!! One thing to improve is the slippery walkway leading to the lobby from the buildings - a lot of people slipped and fell when it rained last week! It is so dangerous!

You get buffets a day and then a dinner IF you can get a reservation, the buffet is below average and tiresome by the second day. Staff was amazing but there is limited things to do on the resort. We were at a restaurant where everything is supposed to be all inclusive but they offered us wine at a restaurant, I almost bought a $250 bottle cause they dont tell you that only the house wine is free. Lots of noise at night outside our room by staff moving things. Also, not their fault but my wife and I both got travel sickness, pretty sure from the buffet, watched many people touch food and place back, the food was really bad unless it was a reserved dinner. You also HAVE to wear a bracelet that does not come off until you leave, I hated that almost more than the food. I would never go back, would rather have a non-inclusive vacation. I do want to say that all staff were amazing. FYI - Palace has the best pools but the beaches sucked period. They were rocky and hard to walk out into the ocean, I would stay in Cancun again where the beaches are amazing but not here.

Absolutely hated the checkin and checkout process. There were five people ahead of us to check in and we waited an hour and a half! Then they gave us a king bed when I requested two beds. Check in process for my friends was even worse than mine! Took them almost 3 hours to check in. Checking out was fine until we were told we needed the slip of paper to leave the hotel (we were told it was needed for food, but not to leave, so we left it at lunch). Room was nice and cool temperature. Food was decent. Drinks were weak.

One of the cleanness, best services resort I ever been. The room is so big. Very nice experience we spent 5 nights there enjoying the room, pool and service at Barcelo Maya Palace. Foods is very good for both lunch and breakfast. The dinner at Caribe, Rodizio, Brasserie Restaurant was excellent. All staff are helpful and friendly. Also, booking dinner reservations was quite challenging for Tokyo restaurants, we miss dinner at this place

The property was pristine and the staff were all very friendly and accommodating from the bellhops to housekeeping to restaurant staff. Food was good across the board, the buffets have options for every crowd and easy self service for soft drinks, coffee, and fresh juices. The a la carte restaurants were also very tasty although the menus don’t fully detail the accompaniments with the main courses. The beach is beautiful with clear waters and very friendly for snorkeling - some people reported seeing turtles! The main pool is one of the largest I’ve seen and it easy to find a little nook to hide away in. The adults only pool was very serene and a great place to relax, if you could find a seat. The resort as a whole is family oriented, so expect a lot of children around. I removed a star due to the drinks (frozen drinks tasted very artificial and was hard to get a good cocktail) and for the availability of lounge chairs. If you don’t wake up at 6:30-7am to put a towel down on chairs, good luck. Especially with the adult only pool and beach!
