The resort is absolutely beautiful. The grounds are well kept with so much greenery and the beaches were wonderful. I was not very impressed with the buffet food. Breakfast was wonderful, but lunch & dinner seemed to be a little on the bland side and food overcooked. The staff had a difficult time keeping food and condiments replenished, having to constantly ask for things to be refilled. The ala carte restaurants were very good, but very difficult to get reservations. The staff did their best to keep up beat during a trying time for the resort due to their efforts of keeping the Corona Virus at bay. Hand-sanitizer was provided throughout the entire resort, specifically at each restaurant & buffet. It was a great resort for my son's senior group with lots of activities to keep them busy during our stay. I would recommend staying their if you have a large group. If it were just my husband & I, we would probably try the adults only portion of the resort for a little less crowd.

Nice setup. Long sand beaches. Unlimited places to relax. I liked everything.

Great place to relax and enjoy the sun. Very repetitive Nd boring after a while.

The room is very old. But the ocean covers all the flaws of the hotel.

Everything is an additional cost. The rooms are outdated and smell like mildew. The nighttime shows are not family friendly (show girls with g-strings). The pools were freezing, 72F if that. The kids water slides were nice which were in the Colonial section. The beach was also nice, the water was very rocky though. Food is edible, not great. The website is very misleading. I would not stay at the resort again.

Had to ask for water in shower to be fixed. Took cold showers for 2 days. Asked 3 times for face towels was told just use regular towel

Property is good, but need to remodel the rooms. Nature is beautiful.

Everything is fine! Great service, very friendly staff!

very large property lay out and connecting other Barcelo resorts. Peaceful, not many people overall.

its amazing hotel very clean we had a fabulous 5 days

Beautiful property that is well maintained considering the number of people who use the facilities. My only con is the level of alcohol to choose from, my preference would be to see more “top shelf” options.

Love this place! Second time going to the place. Everything is there; shopping, aquatic activities, dolphins, entertainment for adults and children. Service is excellent!!

I didn’t like the fact I had to wait 4 hours to get my room. I also requested a microwave to heat up my infants food, but they wanted to charged for it. After 4 hours of waiting for our room there was no courtesy from resort.

Beautiful resort and immaculate. We had a great time. The room wasn't the greatest but was good enough. The food was just OK at the buffets. The italian restaurant was the best! The drinks were great. Shows were fantastic! The workers were amazing and so nice.

I really liked the ambiance of the resort with a more "Mexican" feel than others I have stayed in. Authentic Mexican décor, with Mayan statues, and paths lined with a lot of greenery, shrubs and trees, made for an interesting and beautiful atmosphere. The pools are large and the deck chairs plentiful, with good shade for us fair-skinned travelers. The rooms were older, but still clean. Loungers on the deck would have been nice. The walls and doors were not very soundproof (could hear the guy next door snoring, and noise in the hallways at night were so loud that you would think the door was open!) This was troubling to me considering we paid for a premium stay! I expected better. All the music that was played was Mexican (Spanish), which might not appeal to all foreign travellers. I found the food in the a la carte restaurants to be good, and, at best, the buffets were OK. Drink service around the pool was terrible, and it was quite the hike to exchange pool towels (only found one towel exchange for the whole resort). The resort was quite spread out, so it was a long walk to anywhere (restaurants/buffet, lobby, rooms, entertainment, etc.). Although the buildings are only 3 levels, there is no elevators. This is truly not ideal for those with limited mobility, or problems with stairs. I have bad knees and ankles, so it made getting around tough with the long walks and stairs. Golf cart shuttles would have been a nice feature for such a spread-out resort.
