The room hand a bad smell the moment I walked in. We complained about it they did nothing. Then at the end of the night first day of travel mind you, oh and I had babies with me as well.. The room had a roach our first day!! I got footage. We didn’t get compensated at all! All I heard was it’s a nature place. There’s nature then there’s down right dirty!!! Roaches come from bad sewage and bad hygiene. The room was on the first floor and it was the family Suite… next day I got a knew the next day after an argument! It was clean and okay. Service is horrible I can count on my hand the best servers was mainly Gabriel, and a few ppl on the beach, the entertainment Fabrico, David and the two girls where so excellent at entertaining.. the food wasn’t all the that. Ice cream was good buffet was decent the best restaurant was sushi… they need to work on customer satisfaction an

Not 5 star resort. Some staff great some just like to say 'no'. Our Room had flies and ants in the bathroom sinks, reported multiple times and could not change rooms. Elevators were broken several days and we had stroller we had to carry to 4th floor, again, was told no to changing rooms. Aggressively try to upsell you everything once there. No staff on beach. Requested partial refund from hotel through hotels.com and was denied. Absolutely not a 5 star resort. 3.5 star at best. Oh and BLoved restaurant is only for their privilege members so not sure why it's advertised.

Our suite was spotless the resort was well maintained. And the staff was courteous and very attentive. The food options were lacking and not mind blowing. Steakville was worth definitely mentioning however beware of the all-exclusive talk. They charge for misc food products at check-out.

The staff was amazing! Always so attentive and with such a great attitude. The resort is impeccable as far as cleanliness and that is always what I look for in a resort. The food was fresh and so delicious. Very beautiful overall. Such a great experience. My husband and I really enjoyed our stay!

From bad service to rude staff, stay was beautiful, facilities were outstanding however we had issues with staff/service. We couldn’t get reservations to their Japanese restaurant all 5 days booked. When made reservations at other restaurants only availability was after 9pm only for staff to hurry us up because the kitchen was closing. Room service was never delivered, couldn’t use their gym facilities because gym shoes were not worn. Saw people being kicked out of their buffet because they had swim wear on yet other guests had on swim clothes. Did not like the service at all. Definitely would not go back.

Beautiful clean rooms, great beach for swimming, always plenty of chairs, great food options. Activities on the beach and pool side, David - maker of happiness, made our trip so fun. We were in building 1 and loved being next to the activity pool. Can't say enough good things about Catalonia.

Great Stay, But Reservation System Needs Fix ​Overall, this was a great stay and we would happily return. ​Pros: ​Staff: 99% of the staff was attentive and professional. Exceptional service overall. ​Dining: Buffet breakfast and dinner were great. Wide variety and high quality. ​Entertainment: Great entertainment and activities kept the trip lively. ​Cons/Only Fail: ​Lunch: Buffet lunch quality was disappointing compared to breakfast and dinner. ​Reservation System: The dinner reservation system was a major dissatisfier for our group. It was difficult and frustrating. ​Resolution: The Front Desk was able to help us navigate the reservation issue successfully. ​The service and amenities were excellent enough to outweigh the frustration.
