Beautiful property. Plenty of dining options, service is exceptional. Travelled with a toddler. Felt safe as a family. Room was dated, but mostly comfortable. Several different pools around the property. All were easy to access except the main pool which was challenging/near impossible to get seats at unless you claimed some before 10am. Beach was beautiful. Entertainment was fun.

We stayed in Finest Playa Mujeres (all inclusive) for 4 nights, 5 days during spring break in 2025. Here are some useful learnings from that experience: 1. The resort is a good 40-45 min from the airport and is on the North side of Cancun. The resort provides a shuttle service but it costs a lot for non club reservations. So instead, we booked Happy Shuttle online and they proved to be super organized and professional. If we visit again, we will consider properties closer to Cancun. 2. We planned to visit the Chichen Itza and Mayan villages for a day trip. While this trip was again smooth (booked through Viator), we noticed that some tour providers were reluctant to pick us up as far North as Finest. So our trip options were somewhat limited, but the tour that we ended up with was great! So while the online reservation process was a little tedious, we did not walk away thinking that we missed anything by choosing to stay at Finest. 3. The resort itself is very nice and luxurious. The rooms are very spacious, airy, and comfortable. Our room that was a junior suite with pool view, was on the 5th floor, and had a covered balcony with a fabulous view of the ocean! The rooms were cleaned and restored every day with fresh towels, water, alcohol, and snacks. Room service (breakfast, food/drinks, anything else) is also very prompt and the staff is very courteous. 4. The resort has 12 restaurants serving various cuisines and vegetarian options. Good food, but not outstanding.

Excellent hotel matched with superb service and delicious food! We are a family of hour and traveled for 5 days and had the two story room with the rooftop pool. We wished the room was larger and it really should not be sold as sleep able for four. It’s very small for that. But overall the hotel was lovely and the service was excellent and we really enjoyed the food. Great place and would go back again.

From the moment we arrived at Finest Playa Mujeres, we were treated like royalty. The resort is stunning, with breathtaking ocean views, pristine beaches, and beautifully maintained grounds. The attention to detail in every aspect of our stay made this an unforgettable experience. Service & Staff – 10/10 The staff was beyond incredible—always friendly, attentive, and genuinely eager to make our stay perfect. Whether it was the concierge, housekeeping, or the restaurant servers, everyone went above and beyond to ensure we were happy and comfortable Rooms – Spacious & Luxurious Our suite was immaculate, with modern decor, a private jacuzzi, and a fully stocked minibar. The bed was incredibly comfortable, and the room service was top-notch. Waking up to the sound of the ocean every morning was pure bliss. Food & Drinks – Gourmet Quality With so many dining options, we were spoiled for choice. Every meal was outstanding, from the fresh seafood at Duke’s Lobster & Seafood to the authentic Mexican dishes at Lizo. The cocktail selection was impressive, and the bartenders knew how to make every drink perfectly. Pools & Beach – Absolutely Stunning The pools were clean, warm, and never overcrowded. The beach was paradise—soft white sand and crystal-clear water. The service at the beach was fantastic, with drinks brought right to our loungers. Final Verdict: If you’re looking for a luxurious, all-inclusive experience with world-class service, Finest Playa Mujeres is the place to be.

We stayed at Finest in Mexico a few years ago in a Family Suite, and it was absolutely perfect! Based on that experience, we decided to return this year. Unfortunately, our experience this time was not as smooth. We were given a Junior Suite, and the first room had two double beds, which felt odd for a couple traveling together. On top of that, the room had a strong unpleasant smell. When we complained, we were initially offered an air purifier, which we declined. After multiple back-and-forth discussions, our room was finally changed the next day. The new room had a king-size bed, which was better, but the air conditioning was poorly positioned, blowing directly onto our heads while sleeping. By the third day of our stay, all three of us were sick—imagine coming in from the hot beach only to sleep under an AC that you cannot adjust properly. Another concern was the kids' activity area, which includes ping pong tables and billiards. It was not consistently cleaned or sanitized, making it a potential hotspot for illnesses like Hand, Foot, and Mouth Disease. This lack of sanitation is concerning, especially for a family-friendly resort. That said, the staff were generally friendly, the amenities were great, and the resort itself has a lot to offer. However, the room designs and certain operational aspects left us disappointed. While our first visit was amazing, this experience makes us doubt whether we would return again.

Stayed at excellence properties for our honeymoon and several anniversaries since; but had a terrible experience booking through Expedia that led to worst booking experience ever. Had an website issue that led to an error that we attempted to resolve immediately. Worked for over a week with calls to both Expedia and hotel (front desk, reservations desk, etc.) to resolve (to cancel or modify booking) - with no response from anyone from hotel that could make decisions/help. Expedia blamed hotel and hotel blamed Expedia (even when Expedia tried to get us all on the phone at the same time). Upon arrival, ended up costing us an additional $1800 (which was way way more than the going price on the property’s or any third party website) but otherwise we would have been out almost $4000 for our initial booking. Service manager was nice and apologetic, but no real effort was made to try to resolve the issue or the process that led to the issue to begin with (always someone up the chain of command that made decisions, prices, etc. to blame). Do yourself a favor- book directly on hotel’s website or just go somewhere else. In terms of hotel, staff was friendly and property was beautiful as always, but there were never chairs available at the pool or beach.

The staff and cleanliness cannot be beat. For an all inclusive, the dining options are great. The only slightly annoying aspect of the resort was the very loud construction work for large portions of each day.

Great option for Playa Mujeres, only little downside is long waiting time at some restaurants for dinner.

The dining option was great, especially DOMINOE. The taste and design was amazing. If you have a chance to have PHILIP for servings your meal, definitely it would be a memorable experience in your trip, thank you Philip for your hospitality. Customer service was perfect, less than 10 minutes they will show up.
