I believe it is like most resorts you go to the view, beach and rooms are great but the food in all of the restaurants were coming up very short in all aspects.

We had an excellent stay at the Excellence Playa Mujeres during the Christmas holidays! The food was delicious, bars everywhere, the staff, and service were phenomenal. Stayed in their junior swim up room. I love ocean front rooms, but staying in a swim up is so convenient. It feels like your own villa, about 800 square feet, which is easily accessible to everything at the resort. The sand was silky smooth, with a beautiful beach! It had just rained for 2 days, so there was some seaweed, and the water was a bit murky. However, 2 days later, the ocean water was much clearer, warm, with less seaweed. It’s definitely a 5-Star Hotel! My most favorite all-inclusive!

This is the second time I’ve stayed on this property, I was disappointed the second time around. Entertainment was terrible. Pool games and fun with staff, nowhere to be found. Food was mediocre at best.

Great staff! They're what makes the hotel what it is. Nice, cozy room, plenty of cable movies in English to watch. Food was good at restaurants. My only complaint is there is no lunch buffet. Only a sit down and order style at three of the restaurants for lunch and the menu is very limited. All three restaurants seem to offer the same type of food. It was very repetitive if you're staying on long trips. Night entertainment was great. We had a great time! Lots of beach chairs, but guests seem to reserve chairs at 6:30am, so beware. Other than that, it was fine.

We had a wonderful stay at Excellence Playa Mujeres. Everything was beautifully maintained, the service was consistently attentive, and the overall atmosphere felt upscale and relaxing. The staff truly made the experience special, always friendly and professional. The food quality and variety were great, and the resort never felt crowded. While no place is absolutely perfect, this resort came very close, and we thoroughly enjoyed our time here. We would happily return and recommend it to anyone looking for a luxurious, peaceful getaway.

The staff is amazing!! Our rooms were always cleaned and turned down at night. We celebrated our 50th wedding anniversary and each evening our room was decorated. Amenities were abundant and we truly were in paradise!

This resort stated they had updated, however the update seems to be electronics mainly and small wall decor. We also had AC issues and were moved to a non updated room which unfortunately also had AC issues and wouldn’t go below 76 degrees in the room. Food sadly was also a let down as we tried four different restaurants and we left hungry to say the least. Overall I’d say they have awhile to go to renovate to make this resort back to what it once was. Priced right compared to other resorts in our opinion just needs some help from the entrance to the rooms.

The staff and service was great but after staying at 8+ different all-inclusive resorts in Cancun, we weren't that impressed and did not understand the hype. Their sister resort, Finest, is much better in our opinion. The food was okay. Lobster House was our favorite. Breakfast buffet was good. We didn't have to wait that long at restaurants. However, the wait time for food once we were seated was incredibly long. We would wait at least 30 mins for the appetizers then the entrees so one lunch/dinner takes 2 hours. The rooms were very nice.
