This hotel doesn't seem to be towards kids. Terrible entertainment. I am surprised nobody has complained about it. It was like living the same day all over again. We go every year to Cancun, first and last time in a RIU hotel. Dining options, terrible, buffet doesn't even offer fresh juice. What a waste of vacation.

Well laid out. Friendly staff. All inclusive. No need to go off the resort.

Thanks for good vacation

Fun place. Only 3 restaurants. Food is averages. Overall experience 8 out of 10.

VERY GOOD FAMILY HOTEL

Property was new, nice finishes, decent food choices! Lots of pools and right on the beach! Lots of seating near beach but the seaweed was a little thick in some area.

Riu palace costa Mujeries is Highly recommended! Very nice resort, well maintained & very clean! We’ll go back there! Staffs are very friendly & hard working people! 🙌👍❤️

This place is horrible, management doesn’t know how to treat their guests. Stay away

No lobster was sad. Food was meh. Pepes grill was kinda gross with food blowing all over the place. Eating at tastes buffet was the same as the dinner buffet. Variety is needed. The specialty restaurants was slightly better than buffet but not great

The food was very disappointing and not good at all. The restaurants very limited compared to the amount of guests visiting. THE ALOCOHOL IS VERY CHEAP AND NOT THE ORIGINAL PRODUCT. I guess this place is exactly what you pay for.

The environment, people, pools, beach, cleanliness, organization & food (especially breakfast) was all amazing! All five of us, including our 3 teenagers, had a wonderful time!

We liked the size of the property. Everything was within a short distance walk.

Nice

I'm a beach person, and, I was very pleased by the calm, clear water, and smooth sandy bottom at this hotel's beach. After the 4th day, it got windy, and the waves definitely increased in size and frequency, but it was still a far better experience than the beaches in Playa del Carmen. Housekeeping did a very good job, every day with our room. The grounds were immaculate. We ate at the buffet and were satisfied by it's variety of food options. We're not drinkers, so I won't comment on the booze. Always enough chairs/lounges at the beach and pools. The evening shows stop by 11:00PM, so you can actually sleep without ear plugs! The only negatives I found were, you can order drinks brought to you on the beach, but not food. The hotel is far north of Cancun, and when you book the tours, you're riding in the shuttles a VERY long time - early morning pick-ups at 6:20AM and 6:40PM, a late return at 10:20PM. Would have been nice if they left out the pingpong, and bag toss activities so you can access them all day.

Well maintained, nice beach, friendly staff, good food and drinks

Great resort. Beautiful rooms and the entire place is well kept. Staff are not friendly and most don't speak English. They don't service you if you're not old white males.... sounds familiar? They are definitely wired to think that only that population will tip so that's where they will service. Basically, no tip no service. Not so "all inclusive" is it? The facility is stunning but customer service is no bueno!

Well, have you ever wondered where the people of Walmart go in Cancun. This is the place. And from the time we got there until we left, we were surprised and sometimes appalled at the lack of true high and hospitality. After settling into our room and journeying out to learn the lay of the land, we were greeted halfheartedly and then dismissed by a rude guy named taco in the main area bar. Several days later after eating a thoroughly undercooked omelette, I puked my guts out throughout the evening and spent the entire next day in my bed recovering from food poisoning. This certainly was not filled with all the high class individuals we met last fall staying at Atelier just 3 miles down the beach. Others there certainly are people there to make it memorable, unfortunately the unmemorable individuals trump what other good was there. Serves me right for being a tightwad and not ponying up another $1500 to stay at the better resort for the week. On a positive note, I appreciate my home in central Indiana and going out to Outback much more now.

Dear Jonathan, It is unfortunate your time with us was less than perfect. We are always looking into feedback to continue to better our establishment. It is very much unexpected to read that, members of our staff would have such behaviour, since we are always striving to offer the best service. And we are sorry that you left our resort thinking otherwise. We will be sure to address your concerns with the appropriate members of our team, moving forward to help us to improve for the future. Kindest Regards, Hotel Riu Palace Costa Mujeres Online Reputation Manager
