What a paradise

We loved everything about this beautiful resort!!!

All rooms had mold smell

Our worst experience ever in Mexico. They tried to tell us all of the restaurants were booked everyday so our only option was the buffet. We had to argue just to get to eat anywhere else and it was almost impossible to get all 5 in our party at one table. They said that was too hard because it required them to move tables. We had animal poop on our balcony, roaches in our room, no hot water ever (showers were icy cold), bugs everywhere, little animals that would grab your plates and cups right from your hands, room service costs extra, we never once found a golf cart for transportation so we had to walk 2 miles to food, and our tv didn’t work. It was a horrible experience. Do not recommend. For reference, this is my first negative review.

staff encounters were mostly rude.

The hotel is nice and the room is good. The areas around it are beautiful. The bad thing about the stay in this property is the service. I had to do a complain the first day after seating in the buffet to have breakfast and spend 20 mins and nobody came to ask me for a beverage. The food is not that good. They dont have a variety of food like other all-inclusive hotels. The restaurants are nice and the disco is ok. Long check in and to leave the property they did not have anyone to pick up the baggage at the room so we had to walk all the way to the lobby with it. Overall not that good experience and it is so dissapointed because the property is beautiful, and decent, but the lack of good service makes the stay poor. 2 days after the complain, the service manager came to apologize, and that is it. I believe this hotel receives a lot of people but they staff are not well trained to provide good service and earn their tips. The entertainment is good though.

All good

Overall I had a great experience at the property. The majority of the staff was nice, polite and accommodating. The food at the restaurants was good but didn't like that you had to remember to make a reservation the day before or be subjected to the buffet which was just OK. Female concierge on Sunset side seemed bothered when we tried to talk and show her photos to of a pretty nice size bug being in our bed the first night. She said sorry I'll tell maintenence but what else do you want me to do and just looked at us dismissively. The next day the power went out and when we called to check on the reasoning we were told the issue would be resolved in 10 minutes. Well, 10 minutes turned into over 2 hours and again when we went to speak with someone and apologize was given and the look of what do you want me to do. We asked to speak with a manager who aslo offered nothing but a sorry. Needless to say the first 2 days of our 5 day stay weren't the best. The rest of the stay was great, animals walk around the property freely which was interesting. I'd stay there again

The Resort was awesome!! and the team members were super kind. Thank you to all team members of the Grand Riviera Princess, Sunset, family club and the Platinum area. My family and I really appreciate how the resort team maked us feel during our Christmas trip to Playa del Carmen.

The level of service , the buffet, the cleanliness, the staff made it this visit unforgettable. We had such a great experience . Definitely would recommend to families traveling
