Our family trip to Cancun booked through Expedia was extremely disappointing. We were moved to a different hotel due to “renovations,” but when we arrived, no one told us anything. The kids’ water park was closed for most of our stay, there was loud construction everywhere, unsafe areas with rocks and nails, and the Kids Club was empty and confusing. Staff were rude, our room smelled like sewage, and cleaning was poor. The transportation included in our package was suddenly cancelled by Expedia less than 24 hours before our flight, and we had to pay $225 CAD for new transport. This was our first real vacation after working hard, and it was stressful, uncomfortable, and nothing like what we expected. We would not recommend this experience.
