Only issue was with AmStar, the excursion company located at resort. They gave my group and others misinformation causing numerous people to be stranded at an adventure park.

Dreams Palm Beach has quite a bit going for it. The grounds are lovely and if you opt for the preferred club, the extra snacks, the adult and family pools and separate beach area, and the top shelf liquor make all the difference in the world. The water right in front of the hotel often has seaweed in it making it less beautiful but still swim-able. Not sure we will return to this location even though the staff was wonderful. I will say, however that the "mandatory" meeting in the morning the day after arrival was really not mandatory and actually a sales pitch. We didn't attend and were scolded for it, which we did not appreciate.

The pool(s) were great and spread out. Property was manicured and neat except in morning when leftover beer bottles and drinks were scattered around. The patio room was dated and dirty. Pillows had stains. You have to wake up early and save towels to get a chair near an umbrella. There is only one place to get coffee in the morning, often there were no lids to coffee cups. Because you can’t make reservations for dinner the wait would often be more than an hour. The staff was nice but were difficult to understand and had difficulty understanding English.

My husband and I really enjoyed our stay here! The room was nice, the grounds were well kept and the staff was very helpful. There is sea weed that gets washed up om the beach but they are out there cleaning it up in the mornings. There are lots of activities to do so you there is something for everyone. The Buffett was so-so. The restaurants are very tasty. Also the vendors on the beach are super annoying. Besides that you will have a great time and they keep the drinks flowing. Would reccomend.

Rooms need updated. Awesome staff. Orbitz/Expedia staff unavailable when needed. Saona Island excursion fabulous. Shuttle to and from hotel very prompt and nice. Food good, variety very good. Poor shopping onsite. Resort needs business office for guests, big hassle to print boarding passes.very nice pool and entertainment. Beautiful and well maintained landscaping.

Beach was dirty and smelly but everything else was Okk

Rooms had multiple issues, AC broken (and even when working "normal" it does not keep rooms cooled to desired temperature, Toilet broken, and power goes out frequently. The food choices are very limited, sadly the hamburgers and hot dogs were the "best" options. Buffett also closes for long periods and you are then forced to wait in lines elsewhere. Pool was nice. Staff was hit or miss, some were awesome and some wouldn't give you a smile or try to assist. I would not recommend Dreams Resorts compared to the Iberostars I have stayed at in the same price range.

I've been to this hotel more times then I can count. Although I had an amazing time and the staff is very friendly the resort itself needs some major renovation the rooms are outdated filled with patch work..The entertain staff work hard ,but the nightly show needs some revamping I've been there over 10x and the shows havnt changed yet...Its a shame but next time I will venture out to a new resort..And for the live god please get rid of the timeshare respresentives. I spent my vacation dodging them as they hustle you daily....

Overall great experience! I would have rated a 5 star score however, I had booked 1 king size bed and when I arrived to the resort my room had two double beds. I was staying in a room by myself so definitely didnt need the two. When i called the front desk to see if i could switch, they told me that its never guranteed and i could down grade room so I could have a king bed. Who wants to downgrade? No one. Other that, staff was excellent. Oscar, dinning supervisior made our trip that much better. Very attentive! Thank you :)

The hotel is your typical Caribbean all inclusive. I usually prefer the Mexican resorts over DR, because I find the staff a bit better over there, but I was PLEASANTLY surprised with this resort though. The staff was friendly, professional and very very attentive. I give the service an A+. Unfortunately....the quality of the food and drinks could be heavily improved on (the drinks more than the food). If the price per night were cheaper than you would forgive it, but this pricing was at the upper end of the scale, so I expected better. Favorite restaurant was the Hibachi and lunch at the Seaside grill was awesome. The resort is a bit dated, again...for the price.

The hotel was very nice. It was clean. Our room was spacious. It was superior in quality than neighboring hotels. The beach had too much seaweed. A more diligent effort needs to be made to keep the beach free of seaweed. The spa tub in our room did not work. That was annoying. Also, the electricity went out twice. However, the room was very nice and well stocked with soft drinks, water, coffee and beer. The check in was a little bit confusing because we had to go to another area for check in. We waited more than 15 minutes for a bellhop to take us to our room, and the bellhop never showed up. The preferred check in representative showed us to our room. That was a little bit annoying. The check out needs to be quicker. The food was very good. The drinks were very good as well. Overall, it was a positive experience with some minor snafus.

This is a decent hotel with decent facilities. The staff is pleasant, but the grounds, food, and general maintenance could use attention. If you get the Preferred Club upgrade, your experience will leap from a 3.2 to a 3.7 Good 1. spa services 2. shower water pressure 3. general pleasant demeanor of staff 4. bar offerings 5. pool-side entertainment Improvement Needed 1. mold around pool rim 2. timeliness of room service 3. overcooked or under-seasoned food; typical resort offerings 4. long waits for large groups at restaurant 5. practically forced timeshare presentations

Check in was 3pm arrived at 1pm room wasn't ready until 5:30 I was by my self and they gave me a room with 2 beds and I requested a king. Told me it would cost more to move rooms. My friends arrived after me a got a king and need 2 beds and was given a roller bed. The front desk people where very rude when you asked questions but the other staff was very helpful. Also check out was a nightmare the front desk call to ask what time to pick up bags and never showed up when we got to the check out out taxi was gone and they said that they don't work together and didn't know anything about helping us so once again had to go to a worker to get help.

Gorgeous grounds, excellent food, amazing staff, stunning pools, great activities, and a beach that is heavenly! A must visit if you are heading to Dominican Republic!!

My husband and I really enjoyed our stay here! The room was nice, the grounds were well kept and the staff was very helpful.
