Great relaxing place with friendly staff

Love the hobo chic nature vibes it gave for wellness

We stayed at the end of May and I must say they made it such a wonderful stay. Staff were super friendly, energetic, and ready to help. If you want to get on their good side, learn a few phrase in the local language, they take very well to it. Even if you mess up. The Covid measures they have in place was not overbearing and help use feel more at ease. We did pay the Level Access and it was well worth this addition! The drinks weren't strong at all, but wasn't looking to get wasted at all. no way to reheat the food, so it would be nice to have a microwave in the room. The min bar is lacking, but you can get drinks anywhere on the resort so it wasn't all that necessary for us. The food!!! Was pretty good. Breakfast and lunch were our favorite. Although the APP never worked while we were there so we had to call to make our dinner reservations. We thoroughly enjoyed the Italian restaurant, wish we could have brought some home. Love the Japanese restaurant and it was worth every bit of the money. We had leftovers from this meal. If you do decide to partake in the excursions offered on the beach I HIGHLY recommend seeking out and booking Lucky (tell him Nicole sent you). He'll be wearing "Shopping Center#8". All in all it was worth every thing! I see now why people take this trip on an annual basis. Think I'm going to add this to my life requirements lol.

This was only my second all-inclusive vacation, and it was a bit of a letdown. Things were mostly ok, but not great and not special. First, the good: the beach there is really nice. The sand is soft and it was not crowded so there were plenty of chairs and umbrellas. The staff was helpful and polite. Now the less good: The food, in particular, was pretty mediocre. Some dinners were pretty good, most were average and one was just plain bad. The buffets for breakfast and lunch were really mediocre. The staff, while polite, was not always helpful. part of that was the language barrier, which is my fault for not speaking Spanish. But it was really hard and time consuming to do basic things like make a dinner reservation (required if you don't want a buffet) or even figure out what the dinner options are. Check-in was also very slow. I had a problem in that I arrived at noon. My room wasn't ready until 2:00, which was fine, but them my luggage didn't arrive until nearly 7:00, after at least 4-5 calls. I should say that I was not in the upgraded "Level" section. I had friends staying there and it was definitely nicer in terms of the facilities and the personal concierge service was very helpful. If you are going to go to this resort, pay for that upgrade. Without it, you'll get a lot less help and a lot poorer service.

The hotel property is beautiful, but the rooms aren't in good condition. My bathroom door (which was full glass) didn't close. Even if it had, anyone else in the room would have a full view of someone using the toilet. The shower pooled with water because the floor was sunken in. My safe didn't work. The deadbolt lock to the room didn't work. Cleaners would come every day. The maid actually folded my dirty (wet) bathmat and towels and put them back. The staff are painfully incompetent and rude. When you arrive in your room, there's no booklet with information about the activities or amenities. You're supposed to download an app, which doesn't work. If you call the front desk/operator, you'll be transferred around and no one will answer your questions. Room service doesn't answer the phone, either. Did I mention that the concierge sent me "shopping" to his friend's store that was a scam? There's nothing like feeling stranded god knows where because you don't want to pay $120 USD for a magnet, a coin purse, and a tiny bowl, and you have to push your way past the owner to get out. I got yelled at by the owner and the driver, and wondered if I'd make it back. Good luck getting out of the hotel. The property is huge and you'll need to ride a golf cart to get yourself and your bags to the exit. Call and call again and no golf cart will ever come. I called twice, an employee called, and still I waited in the heat, finally walking and walking with my bags. Missed my flight!

Beautiful property. Well maintained. Great beach. Some really outstanding staff. A bit of an English language barrier. Be prepared to schedule your return transportation and covid teat yourself. No reminders from the staff for checkout procedures either. Breakfast and lunch menu's were unchanged for the week. A different a la carte restaurant open every night. That was really nice.

nice hotel, staff could be friendlier, but overall good experience

Been going to this hotel for years. Love coming here! We always stay on the Level side, adults only. We have a great time.

Beautiful resort, friendly staff, a lot to do. Great Place

Beautiful resort. Food was not what we are used to. Had a few problems with plumbing system

Food awful, 90% of the services of the adults are REGULAR. Eating always with kids, 4 restaurants always closed, Snack bars are supermini snack bars... reallyMelia was disappointing!!!!

Very good experience my wife and i loved to stayed here, staff is great

unfortunately there are a lot more cons than pros regarding this "adults only" property. IF YOU ARE ACTUALLY LOOKING FOR AN ADULTS ONLY RESORT KEEP SCROLLING PAST THIS ONE. pros: property itself is beautiful. Kept very clean. The room was spacious and clean for the most part. They do not wash the glasses and coffee mugs daily in the room is the only concern with that. I had to wash my own mugs if I wanted to make coffee the next day. Beach was also beautiful. Unfortunately during our stay there was a huge seaweed problem, but they worked very hard on cleaning up the beach. cons: Food - for breakfast and lunch you have no variety. You have the same exact food every day which get tiring very fast. On top of it it is all precooked before they start serving so it is mostly cold by the time you get to eat. Dinner - All of the restaurants besides ONE buffet are on the children's side of the resort, which is fine thinking we at least have the adult buffet we could eat at in peace. WE WERE WRONG. The only one dinner place on the adult side was swarming with screaming and crying children. Parents did not watch these children who stuck their hands and fingers in all the food that was displayed which grossed me out to even eat anything. Also because it was crowded with families not only adults the food went really fast and was never refurbished. So if you want to actually eat dinner and have food be sure you arrive early. Adults only section of beach also taken up by families.
