Friendly staff, hotel has beautiful vegetation, breakfast is very good. Needs improvement with the following: -jacuzzi in spa is not hot -all inclusive alcohol is cheap *unknown brands.

My experience at Melia was not very good. I told the front desk staff that my room had no hot water 3 times and they did nothing about it. I had to shower with freezing cold water during my entire stay. They didn’t even offer to change me to a different room. The light bulb was also non stop flickering and I requested for them to change it but they never did. The food was always cold and the way it is paired doesn’t make sense. Had no flavor and was not very good. They never changed the menu it was always the same thing. The trains and hotel trucks don’t care if you’re on the side walk. I almost got ran over. They should have a speed limit for the vehicles who drive where the pedestrians walk. This was my first solo trip and when I had my first dinner my server laughed when I told her I was dining alone, I did not feel welcomed at all. The waiters that work in the restaurant where kids are allowed were far more nice. The hotel doesn’t really feel like a wellness retreat, it’s really just like any other resort. Many of the activities were cancelled and they would make up an excuse but really it’s because they didn’t have the instructors. Although they advertise as eco friendly they are not at all. If you are vegan or have any dietary restrictions, do not come here there are no options! The menu is only labeled in Spanish and many guests had a hard time choosing what to eat because they had no idea what was going on. I want my money back!

We spent 8 nights in July 2022. I had food poisoning twice. I could not eat anything other than bread. The food gets spoiled because the restaurants do not put ice under food. They do not cook the meat well. Therefore, it gets becomes unsuitable to ingest. It was a terrible experience.

This has been the best place I’ve stayed at in punta cana. I had a complimentary massage with my Level upgrade and it was sooo good. The level of service provided by every staff was impeccable! Everyone was always trying to accommodate and help you. Although it’s all inclusive, tipping those who helped only made my stay even better. They take care of the customers and their service should be compensated with tips. The rooms were very spacious and the cleaning lady was amazing! The concierge service that came with the upgrade was a plus because he was always attentive and made all of our reservations to the restaurants for us. He even sent me a daily message with the activities the resort held everyday. The food was great! There was something for everyone at the many different restaurants. The adults only section was a plus and the tranquility was everything! The property was so big that shuttles of go carts were regularly driving around to different locations to pick people up and take them to another side of the resort if they needed. Everyday the property was being maintained, cleaned and protected! A turtle was crossing one of the main roads for the shuttles and the driver stopped to save it and move it to the grass! The wellness adults only section I stayed in was a short walk to the beach, and the adults only restaurants were exactly what we needed as we travelled without the kids! I recommend this place to anyone who wants a great vacation! I will be going back!!

The resort itself is beautiful and all the staff were super nice and helpful. The beach was very nice and they did a nice job keeping the seaweed cleaned up. The rooms are a little worn and the covers on the couches need to be cleaned. The food was just ok but we didn’t starve, could always find something.

Bad drinks,food

Upon arrival I loved the charm of this hotel. It does not give you the routine chain hotel vibe at all. You are greeted by a friendly staff member who escorts you to the sitting area. The welcome beverage is nice and refreshing. Gorgeous buildings,lobby, and it only gets more breathtaking when you walk in. The gentleman Raflein who checked me in was so Informative with the map of the resort, suggested lovely restaurants like “capri” and even helped me brush up on my Spanish (lol). I have stayed at dozen of hotels in the Dominican Republic… the Melia Punta Cana was on the top of the list of best stays/experiences ever! strict with COVID rules and wearing masks in common areas , they give you disposable gloves when handling the utensils at the buffets(a plus). The rooms were clean/High quality rooms, stocked with high quality Rituals products. very comfortable, and the staff was amazing all over the resort wherever you walked. The Manager Reyes Guzman was very hospitable and there for every need of mine. She also suggested we go to the rooftop bar”quimera “and had an amazing time beautiful views of the pool there . Although my stay was short I am DEFINITELY RETURNING and have told everyone of this wonderful resort. The best hotel I’ve ever been privileged enough to stay at. High quality rooms and high quality service.

I’ve been to DR on numerous occasions & have stayed at different hotels and the Melia is my absolute favorite!! The lobby is beautiful, staff is friendly & the food is delish!!! I had a small issue during one of my many visits and voiced my concern while I checked out. I was connected with one of the hotel managers named Reyes Guzmán and upon my next visits, she has been the best !!! Ms Guzmán has been so very accommodating ever since. She has a beautiful spirit. The staff is always so very helpful. William Yan is one of my favorite “butlers”. Santo & Nataly work at the beach and made sure to always check to see if we needed more drinks as we relaxed. I love it here!!

las instalaciones y el servicio dentro del hotel muy bueno. los tours que venden no son recomendables.hay que salir del hotel y sos afuera es otro mundo.el paseo y la rumba en el katamaran no es recomendable como paseo con menores. eso es un degenero. imaginense lo que quiero decir. sabemos que eso es independiente del hotel pero ellos tienen servicio en las instalaciones y eso le vaja puntos,mucha tigreria en eso tures.

The property is clean & very well kept. The food is delicious & COVID protocols are in place The beds and pillows are comfy also

This system is monitored by an international company and ensures that the correct food and beverage handling procedures are in place.
