The resort itself is beautiful, and the beach was amazing ! However, the staff at the resort are absolutely rude . Upon arrival my boyfriend and I were not welcomed with a drink or anything to cool off from the hot weather . The drink servers at the bars were not friendly as they watched my boyfriend and I stand there with no hesitation to ask what we wanted. Just to add the power went out while we were at dinner . Our hotel room sheets were stained and dirty. When my boyfriend called it took almost 2-4 hours to get new sheets & pillowcases that were also dirty . When we returned from our long day of excursions which was the day of my birthday we walked into our room and seen that the cleaning person cleaned the room but then we noticed the ceiling torn apart on one side and on the other it was a leak coming from the ceiling. We called the front desk several times to be accommodated for a room change and this took about an hour and 45min as they kept hanging up the phone on my boyfriend. When we finally got moved into another room the AC was freezing cold and would not turn off the entire thermostat was not working . Contacted the front desk again for a maintenance worker just to wait another 2hours for someone to show and fix it . The front desk people were rude as well for hanging up the phone continuously when we needed help . Food places weren’t open long and the food was not that good ! Overall I would not stay here again!

Very good service kept us up to date. Surprised my husband for his birthday by decorating our room beautifully with complimentary chocolates. We enjoyed our stay. Would recommend!

My family (1 teen, toddler and my husband and I) really enjoyed our stay at Ocean el faro. The food at the specialty and privilege restaurants was good. The pools were great, good entertainment. The icecream and coffee shops we visited frequently. It was so relaxing and quiet. I definitely recommend this hotel.
Not a lot of places to avoid sun in Privilege area. They allow the staff from the timeshare club membership to have your room number and just completely harass you at ALL hrs. Restaurants meal choices are limited. They always ran out of something. Restaurant staff is nice. Just average, expected more. No order to checking in, just an inconvenient overall experience. Lack of transportation on property. Bring comfy sneakers..

YOU HAVE TO GET UP EARLY AND GET IN LINE BEFORE 8am in hopes of getting ONE SINGLE RESERVATION! You are not allowed to book any further. Also the refrigerator in my room didn’t work since I checked in and I called lobby for 4 day in a row until it finally got changed. So would I come back here? NO!!! Food is average and they could do better. I will say I did enjoy the staff at the sport bar and Pool bar. My girl Griselda always took care of me.
Spent 9 nights at the hotel. The resort is very beautiful and well maintained. Our concierges Carlos Carter and Marcos Garcia were both excellent and assisted with our dinner reservations. The restaurants were great and the food quality was excellent. The buffet on the other hand, was not so desirable. Some of the staff were friendly, while others did not make us feel that welcome. Customer service in the buffet, towel area and pool area needs some improvement.
The property was clean. The maid staff and other support staff were great! The pool bar staff were not very friendly or attentive. The food was ok. The restaurant reservation system needs to be revamped
The staff are very slow to serve. The reservation process in restaurants does not work. The experience in the stake restaurant was terrible, they did not have cuts of meat, they did not have desserts in the restaurant, etc. The snack bar is a nightmare.
The property it’s self is beautiful design. But it’s not clean. Especially the rooms. Maintance is poor! Not friendly stuff. The beach or rocky.

The pool felt great and clean! the workers were amazing especially the workers at the pool area who made the experience so much fun. All the staff was amazing and the resort was just breathtaking. Definitely visit not to mention but I did a solo trip and felt safe the entire time. The rooms were gorgeous.
