What stood out for me is the variety of food. There were 7 included restaurants to choose from (french one is additional fee). The rooms in building 1 and 2 are older than the other buildings and are a little farther away from the main building/lobby.

Due to weather event my family missed a connecting flight to Punta Cana. I was very disappointed on how this had such negative impact on the whole trip. The flight, car service and resort accommodations all impacted. The resort showed very little flexibility and empathy. A lot of money was spent and additional costs took us way over budget. The staff and facilities were great. Everything else was terrible.

This resort is so beautiful. I enjoy the beach and all the amenities. The staff are very friendly. The variety of restaurants is amazing but what impresses me the most is the beautiful church.

**Barcelo Bavaro Palace (Dec 2025)** Beautiful beach and friendly staff, but the stay was miserable. Our room in Building #1 was damp, smelled of mold, and the air conditioner leaked—everything felt wet, and I left with a cough and sore throat. Dining was just as frustrating: reservations were nearly impossible, service painfully slow (a 7pm dinner at La Brisa dragged until 11pm), and the food was overly salty. Nice beach, yes—but run-down rooms and poor food make this resort a one-star experience.

Food was just normal average or typical resort food everywhere we went! Service was maybe a 3 out of 10 and hard to even get a beverage at any meal. The place was big and nice and I never felt crowded. Everything on the grounds were clean and upkeep was constantly being done.

check in was the absolute worst! Waited almost 45 minutes for the check in!!!! The room smell old and musky.. same food serve everyday. And restaurant reservations was awful! Theres only 1 restaurant we wanted to try was the Japanese hibachi, and the earliest time they gave us was 1030pm ( what 7 and 8 year old eats at that late in the day???!!) and pirate ship water park os additional cost??!!!

We had a junior suite. The room was spacious and clean and the beds comfortable. Lots of room. Fridge restocked daily. The only thing we didn’t like was the bathroom was open to the bedroom and you could see into the shower from the main door. The resort is huge but easy to get around. Lots of chairs most days and activities in the pools
