The lobby staff was friendly. My kids enjoyed the water park.. The staff at the restaurants was rude with a bad attitude.. Wasn’t All inclusive. Only 2 restaurants outta 7 was all inclusive and the food was nasty. The staff was hiding the bacon until my husband offer a tip all sudden he bring a plate of bacon out for my family. The wait at the steakhouse was long but if you buy a bottle of wine they will push you to the front of the line.. Royalton is a very money hungry hotel!

Cheking was horrible,,waiting hours for a room

I have stayed at a large number of different all-inclusive properties. including other Royalton resorts. Here are what I see for the Pros and Cons of this property: Pros: -Well Kept and Clean -Waterpark is fun, great area for the little-ones as well, though not well suited for the really small kids. -Food at the Selections Buffet was pretty good -Beach is very nice, some seaweed depending on the tide/current, but nothing like Rivera Maya -Landscaping is very nice. Cons: -Checkin was slow, like almost an hour slow -Received a room different than was reserved -Mini-Bar was not serviced without calls to the front desk. -A/C in the room was poor, even after maintenance came by and said it was fine, room could not get below about 77-78f. -This property is combined with the Royalton Punta Cana, many of the amenities listed are not in the Royalton Splash area, but rather the other end of the resort. It is a good 15min walk to the beach. -There are only 3 restaurants in the Splash area, The buffet, Mexican, and Italian. Went to all 3. The Italian restaurant was not good. Service in the Buffet was hit and miss. -Wifi is pretty bad, so don't expect to use any streaming services. Good enough for basic functions though. -Seating and the pools and beach is limited. You will not get a seat after lunch. -Towels are impossible to get after lunch -There is very limited seats and shade at the waterpark. To get shade you have to be there when they open.

AVOID staying here. Restaurants, especially the buffets have NO safety precautions with food handling and cleanliness. Flies all over! The worst quality. Entire family got sick/ food poisoning . They have several restaurants, however they have over 2.5 hour wait or more. Many of the employees express they work very long hours and are exhausted. It is a disaster at check in or check out which can take longer than 40 minutes.

The check in took 2 hours! NO type of organization!!! And they told us we was part of the “diamond club” it never felt like we was treated like so. The room wasn’t cleaned before we got there. The floor had dirt, it clearly wasnt sweeped or mooped. They gave us 2 towels for 4 people, called multiple times for towels and to fill up the mini fridge. Each time they kept saying “we will send someone” after 4 tries i gave up. Ended up having to bring 2 pool towels up myself!!!! Just so we could shower!!! The food was awful.. the room service was terrible 2 hour wait ! The service was bad in general! No one greets you, every workers walks by looks at you no hello, no goodmorning nothing. The entire experience was BAD 0/10! You pay all this money to enjoy your family vacation. To end up having bad food, bad service. I would never recommend this place to anyone !

In order to enjoy the all inclusive, update to Diamond Club. You will reserve all the perks with exclusive restaurant. Water park is a bit outdated but clean and perfect for kids all ages to enjoy.

Couldn’t get in my room for a few hours

I loved the wayer park and the entertainment...the place was family friendly.

This property is gorgeous. Staff is great and the food was better than expected

To start off they don’t a shuttle to and from the airport. Check in took an hour. But I will say they great you with a piña colada. When I did get my room the A/C was cooling the room properly. If you order room service it takes 2.5 hours to get it. The cleaning lady’s would still the beers out the mini fridge. The service at the buffet restaurants sucked. You would order a drink and never get it. Other resultants service was good a most of the food is great. Plenty of pools and bars. Had activity’s around the hotel every day. Most of the staff was friendly and helpful.

Food was not good. The property is very nice . Long lines at restaurants. Staff untrained . Check in was a nightmare. The beach is beautiful. Some staff members are great but all are not trained . Food quality needs to improve .

The room was lovely. The restaurants were hard to get in. The staff wore their masks under their chins!! Guests were not reguired to wear masks in the restaurants or to use hand sanitizer even though the guests served themselves with the same utensils!! I was locked out of my room twice, and it took a long time to remedy the situation.

El service is not good

Excellent, friendly service from all personnel. The waterpark was amazing and fun for the entire family! With spaces/activities for those who like to have fun and also quiet areas for those who like to relax.

Everything was great

Loved it. People were very calm. Especially the vibe team. Thank you! Just didn’t like how they made us wait till 3pm for check in. No where in our booking it said that check in time is at 3pm. We went there at 11am and had to wait in the lobby for 4 hours.

It was me my wife and our toddlers first time there and we met up with our other family members at the property and we had a great time. The only drawback was not having access to certain restaurants based on where you were staying at, though it is all on the same Resort property.
