Thanks to Orbitz we got the VIP services with free wine and dessert at check in. Our rooms were upgraded to level master suite. Property was very clean. The rooms were big. Housekeeping kept it clean every day and provided snacks in the fridge for us. The beach is gorgeous however claim your seats early! Splash island was okay. We prefer the pool. Spa service was great. Food was a hit or miss. rumba and beach night was our favorite. Rosso was our least favorite due to service and food quality. Kids club was great they had our kids busy with activities while we had a massage

Would give them 5 stars but if your drunk and forget to show for your massage they will still charge you regardless.. so don’t over sleep or get too drunk at an ALL INCLUSIVE. lol hard to not do

I spent a week at Melia Caribe Beach with my wife and 3-year-old daughter and overall it was a great experience. The splash park is wonderful for toddlers up, the beach and main pool are great and I highly recommend the Eco Park excursion for families with young kids. That's not to say the hotel is without fault. Our family room was a good size but very tired. The cupboard door to the mini bar was broken, so it hung open on one hinge. The woodwork in the bathroom was loose, there was only one hook for towels, there was no toilet roll holder and the room lacked basic items like dressing gowns/bathrobes, slippers, an umbrella or a tote bag. Room cleaning was a bit hit and miss too; the beds were poorly made and I don't think we got clean sheets once during our stay. On the plus side, the main king bed was very comfortable and the shower was great. We were also in a perfect location near the kids' club and splash park and not far from the beach. The food was also a bit hit and miss. Our best meal by far was at the Mexican restaurant but the Italian was pretty awful and the Dominican uninspiring. Some parts of the buffets were wonderful, others really not! Also watch out for people claiming to be concierge staff wanting to show you the hotel and give you your $100 voucher. This turned out to be a hustle to get us to sit through a 45-min Melia sales pitch in a different hotel. And we never did get the $100 voucher promised by Expedia, despite asking several times.

The staff was really great, and that's kinda where the great ends. The rooms are dated, pillows lumpy and old which wouldn't be the end of the world, but they were often understaffed at important places like check-in/check-out, concierge service, and poolside/beach service. The larger rooms with kitchens felt incomplete... They had a fridge, kettle, and sink, but no microwave - even though there was an empty space for one - and they didn't have anything like utensils... so basically it's a lot of extra counter and cupboard space for nothing. The food was fine, and sometimes even quite good but often the breakfast buffet would be not-warm, to put it kindly, even at more exclusive restaurants like The Riviera. The Spa was great as was the waterpark for the kids, and the staff like I said earlier, but otherwise there were quite a few annoying bits and I don't think I would recommend it. Oh, and you were constantly being asked to review the resort or their work or the restaurants... I didn't want to review because I wasn't having a great experience, but I am finally relenting.

I loved my stay! The staff was amazing but the staff person by the name of Any made our vacation a breeze from check in until we departed. She went above and beyond to make sure we were taking care of! I truly appreciated all who played a part! Oh and we had the best massages at their spa those ladies know what they're doing!

Room was great, lots of space and always clean and serviced every day. Staff was a mix, from very atentive and polite people to a few that didn't seem to like working there. Food is okay in the buffets, but the restaurants were very good, specially Tauro and Rosso, very recommended.

The property was very nice. The service across the board was great. Anny Luciano checked us in and reviewed everything they had to offer. She kept in contact with us every day. She was great. The Level suite was very spacious and beyond what we expected. The Level experience was great. The Riviera for Level customers was great for our dining. We also loved the pool. Hector and Cecilia served us at the La Hacienda and they also deserve a shout out for their service. As does Reimond at Tauro steak house. The property and rooms were always clean. We would recommend it for sure.

Something else (Guest Safety & Staff Response): The main issue was not the room or amenities, but the hotel’s lack of effective security and staff response during a serious incident. Despite multiple staff members being present, they were unable to de-escalate the situation or protect guests, including children, teenagers, and a senior guest. Clearer security protocols, better staff training, and faster intervention are needed to ensure guest safety.

Très bel hôtel, immense, avec un accès direct à une plage privée. L’établissement est vraiment magnifique et impressionnant, c’est d’ailleurs pour cette raison que je le recommande malgré certains points négatifs. Lors de notre séjour, la mer était agitée : l’eau n’était pas turquoise comme sur les réseaux sociaux, avec beaucoup d’algues et de sargasses. La chambre était propre, spacieuse et agréable, avec une literie très confortable. Concernant la restauration, il y a du choix mais la qualité reste moyenne, ce qui peut décevoir si l’on est exigeant sur ce point. Autre point négatif : la “guerre des transats”. Certains touristes donnent des pourboires au personnel pour faire libérer des transats. Nous nous sommes fait retirer un transat et une serviette pendant une baignade, et avons été témoins de ce genre de situation à plusieurs reprises. Les activités existent mais sont peu visibles : si l’on ne consulte pas régulièrement le planning, on peut facilement passer à côté. Attention en cas de problème de santé : la consultation du médecin de l’hôtel est facturée 215 €. Il est préférable de consulter à l’extérieur (~100 €). Une pharmacie se trouve juste à côté de l’hôtel ; sinon les médicaments sont livrés depuis loin avec une facture élevée (189€)). Le personnel est globalement très gentil. Le jour du départ, des douches sont mises à disposition, ce qui est appréciable. Enfin,l’excursion à l’île Saona est magnifique et vaut le détour, mais le trajet très long depuis cet hôtel

Overall, my stay at Meliá Caribe Beach Resort was very enjoyable and relaxing. The resort is beautiful, well maintained, and offers a true all-inclusive experience. The staff across the property were professional, polite, and culturally respectful, which made the stay feel welcoming from start to finish. Food quality was very good, with plenty of variety, and the restaurants and bars were well organized. There were, however, a few points that did not fully align with what was stated in my reservation. I did not receive the bottle of wine that was included in the booking details. Additionally, the spa credit listed as a $90 coupon turned out to be three separate $30 coupons, which was clarified only upon arrival at the spa. This was a bit misleading and worth noting for future guests. Another minor inconvenience was the availability of beach towels and seating. Early in the day, many guests would pick up towels and “reserve” pool or beach chairs for long periods, which resulted in waiting times for towels and limited seating later on. Despite these issues, the overall experience was very positive. The resort atmosphere, service quality, and amenities made up for the small drawbacks. With clearer communication regarding included perks and better management of towel and chair reservations, this would be an outstanding stay

We enjoyed our stay here for our family of 4.. we were lucky to have such great service from Any Liriano at the guest services. One mistake we made was not booking our excursion through the hotel at the lobby. We booked with the group who sells around the pool and buffet, apparently they don’t work for the resort. On the day of our excursion my wife and kids were sick (pretty sure it was from the frozen chocolate coffee cause they all got it and got sick, I did not have one and was fine)the company who sold us our excursion were not going to let us change dates without a doctors note from the resort doc (prob $300) I told Any our story and she took care of it, we changed dates of our excursion. She also checked in on them daily, sending gatorades for them… huge thanks to Any. Water park was fun, and food was great! The entertainment group worked hard and put on lots of activities, they were great
