Great family experience, the grounds were excellent. The staff was very attentive, personable, professional, fun and truly made the experience. Remembering the resort is all inclusive so drinks and food are included. We had trouble getting into dining restaurants at the front of hotel as dinner starts at 6 and there are no reservations. The lines can get pretty long and if you’re not there by 7:30 might as well head to buffet. But all in all between buffet and food court you should be ok. Good drinks, casino and splash park is a short walk. I would and will return with this resort being at the top of my list. Thanks for the experience RIU!

Regarding Food - Sadly, I thought the food was disappointing, but I understand this resort is super large and they are cooking for all different cultures, but I wasn't overly impressed by the food quality. For example, we dined at the Agave, my husband had hair in his food and a friend we were with had a gluten allergy, so she ordered the steak tacos that were supposed to be served on corn tortillas, and they came out on flour. I wish there were some authentic DR foods available, perhaps in the food court. Having pizza, burgers, steak, fried chicken, etc. in another country wasn't what I was expecting. Regarding the Room – Our room was located in the Elite Club, and we were supposed to receive a bottle of wine, which we never got even after requesting it several times via the room service app. We requested the minibar to be restocked with snacks and wine once again, we got 1 Kit Kat (but they took the $5.00 tip we left). Our room sometimes wasn't getting cleaned until 9pm which was very inconvenient. There's obviously a language barrier as I am American, but I would have hoped simple room service requests could be fulfilled. We requested a second welcome bag and cup since there were 2 of us in the room, we never received that either after making 2 requests. Our friend had expired water in their minibar and when they ordered room service, they received a very moldy piece of cheesecake.

Beautiful hotel with many pools and activities. I stayed with my partner and we were apart of the Elite Club, which was well worth it. The food was nothing special at all and often made me sick depending on what you ate. Overall, the Elite Club Restaurant and the Steakhouse were among two of the best dining options. The buffet was also not bad for dinner. The insides of the lounges and bars smelled of mold which was unbearable at times. Drinks were great and the staff was awesome. We met 10 other people and it was great to be able to hang out with them wherever and whenever we wanted. Would definitely stay at another Hotel Riu in the future as it was very safe, clean, and a very fun experience. All inclusives are not known for excellent food so do not dwell on that. There were still good food options, you just have to be careful in what you get. Drinks and bar service was fantastic and the bartenders really got to know you and what you liked as you went back daily. Fun resort with so much to do and extremely affordable.

Loved that we picked the Elite Club which has their exclusive members only pools, restaurants, and lounges. This hotel has many food options like buffet, american, japanese, and other options. Even a food court available. The employees provide amazing, friendly service. Clean room, comfy bed, and there pillows were a dream. I will definitely back.
