My entire experience was amazing... great location, food is great and the staff is hands down one of the best caring willing to do what ever it takes to make sure your vacation is an amazing one.. Carlos and the entertainment team are different! Amazingly different, I have been to a few resorts and they really made my entire experience that much better, thank you Carlos and team! Everyone! I will be back for sure!

Overall rating was disappointing because of the fact that when we arrived we were told they were overbooked and had to stay at another resort for the first night. This was very much an inconvenience because this was my sons senior trip and he wanted to be with his friends. So we had to pay for cabs back and forth for the first night so he could hang with his buddies. They offered me a $300 room credit which was only good for the spa. After finally checking in later the following day, the room and amenities were great. Food was awesome and plenty of it. Room was clean and had everything we needed.

Our butler Francisco, was the best! He took care of all our requests every day! The service was excellent!

The stay was great, this was our second stay at this resort. We live the pool, the pool design ensure there is always room.

I called in advance to confirm late check in as website instructed to do , yet upon arrival they still didn’t have our room. Having baby on trip and waiting additional 2 hrs for them to sort is not way to start our stay especially after an 11 hr plane ride . They had us stay only to be moved the next day. After another 1+ hr wait / move process , going into new suite the next day , they had us and others in same room, resulting in manager to be called and then getting an apology & receive $100 credit . We used it on a lovely beach dinner. In total 4 + he’s were taken away from us upon arrival because of this error which should have NEVER happened since booking took place months in advance and I did call to confirm late arrival . It seems like many people had the same issue as many yelled and were angry for same reasons. It’s a beautiful resort , friendly staffing but their is a lack of communication. The management and employees are NOT on same page causing many bad experiences from bookings , reservations at restaurants and general information inquiries . We would get told one thing , go only to be told another . They do need more staff that speaks and understands English , especially since it’s a destination resort where more then 90% of its visitors speak English only . musr work on ; ▪️Open lines of clear communication from staff and management to ensure all on same page for customer delivery. ▪️Clear understanding of English to communicate with customers

Pros: The food and the staff at all restaurants and bars -outstanding. They were all very warm and friendly. The shows at night were fun. We had pictures taken and the photographer was super with our 3 boys and took some amazing pictures. Cons: Check in - we arrived at 1:30 - check in was at 3, so we were told to eat lunch and come back. We did, then were made to wait almost 2 more hrs to check in. At this point, we were brought to the side of the counter handed 2 envelopes and the check in lady ran off. No explanation of anything in the envelope. We found our rooms (we had requested 2 with 2 double beds each ) & found them both with King beds (no pull out couch). When I called down the lady didn't see my problem (my room was for my husband and my 2 boys). She offered a cot & added that "the beds are really big" for all of us. I was annoyed but told her to bring cot up. Was told they would fix my room the next day after 1. The next day I came back at 2:30. Was given a new set of keys, told to pack up my things and exit current room. So we did. Dragged all our things to new room. As we open the new room, there is already a family there. I call downstairs, annoyed, and am told I had to come at 1 sharp and that my request had been cancelled! I put up a stink and the poor bell hop who felt bad for us told us he would take care of it for us. So we waited in the hallway for another hour. He eventually came back with a new room for us. The service in the room was so so. Bare minimu

First time at Majestic Colonial to celebrate my Birthday it was a wonder stay. The food was above average for and all inclusive premium drinks and staff was very friendly and accommodating.

Staying at the Majestic was great, and the staff is exceptional. The nightly shows are very good, I just wish they ran a little longer, but the band and the dancers are great. Very good host as well. The price was very reasonable, although we had a flight cancellation, requiring an extra nights stay, and we felt we were price gouged on the extra night, but they were booked and gave us a room, so it worked out. Overall a great place to stay.

the stay was good, very nice and would recommend it to anyone looking for a cheap affordable hotel. The food however was not the best, but ok.

Started off the vacation given a "free upgrade". With four people in our room we needed two double beds, but this "upgrade" was one king bed, and two double beds. I reiterated in 3 different ways that it wasn't a "cot" or a "pull out bed" or a makeshift bed". They insured me it wasn't. Check in took about 3 hours, which was absolutely absurd. When we finally get to the hotel room, the two double beds weren't in there and just the king size bed. Frustrated, my roommates and I left to go to the bar. We have been traveling since 4 that morning, and just wanted to go enjoy the beach. When we returned at 7 at night, there was no "double" beds. Called down again, and left. They delivered ONE double bed, and we had to call again when we returned at 10 at night because the other one still wasn't delivered. The double beds ended up being two TWIN beds that were extremely uncomfortable. This "free upgrade" was more like a downgrade because the 4 of us couldn't sleep comfortably, and the room was only set up to accommodate two guests. The next day they had us switch rooms, that had two double beds. The second room that they put us in, had the two beds we asked for, BUT still was only set up for two people after we asked them numerous times to please have four towels, four water bottles, four bathrobes, etc. Everyday we left a note in Spanish to make sure that we would get 4 of everything. Everyday the note was thrown out and ignored. Awful experience, beautiful beach though!

We loved our stay at the Majestic Colonial. The staff was very friendly and the food was excellent.

We had heard in some reviews that there are benefits to upgrading to the Majestic Club for better liquor and a butler. Our butler was great but we didn't fully utilize him as we are self starters. The adults only Majestic Club should really say old people club where most people around the pool were 65+ and would only get liquor from the club bar. We spend most of our time on the beach or at activities in the general area. It was nice with events or shows all of the time. Many were enjoyable but one night they had a circus show where the acrobats were stunning. It was near Las Vegas show quality with amazing acts. The shower in our room slanted away from the drain so there was always an inch of water in it. Other than that it was likely the best room in the facility. Outside our door was a patio and 20 feet from the beach. We enjoyed the free scuba lessons in the pool, foam parties, volleyball, tennis, karaoke, our butler and maid who we got to know through the week.

We stayed at the Majestic Colonial for 5 days and never once had any issues. We upgraded to the adults only area. Check-in was great. No complaints and would definitely return.

Enjoyed the resort. Fairly typical, but the beach volleyball was excellent. Mostly due to the fact that the other players were friendly and good. To be honest, the staff did little to organize volleyball. We brought out own ball and gathered attracted people to play. When people did have resort supplied balls, either the cover was peeling off or if was hard vinyl, better suited to pool play. The location of the court was as good as it could be running parallel to the beach and shielded from wind by the beach palapas. Unfortunately, the wind was super strong during part of our stay, and high balls would drift dramatically in the wind.

Great vacation destination!! Recommended spot for a great quite time

This was our second trip to the Majestic Colonial with friends. Great people! We thought about choosing the Elegance or Magic but why we had so much fun at the Colonial. They did not disappoint . There staff work really hard for there customers making your stay as comfortable as possible. We chose the adult only jr Club Suite both times. We were able to see our great butler David from last year but he was going on vacation part of the week but it was really great seeing him at the end of the week. This year our butler was Garcia, he also did a great job checking with us every day on what we might need to make our stay more comfortable. Some shout outs to excellent service from excellent staff . To Rafael Adult pool the best bartender he I s awesome , along with Hector by the pool. wait staff,: Louis, always doing a great job in the steak house, Yerry keeping beverages coming iduring the Super Bowl and in the Spanish restaurant an in breakfast.! The entertainment staff great glad to see Doris and Angelica there again very professional and excellent. Rooms always clean, ground s always cleaning, beautiful resort. Tried the sauna this year, best experience I have had at a resort, must do! The beach is awesome, long walks on the beach, plenty of chairs for everyone! We will be back.

We had a great experience at the Majestic Colonial. The entertainment staff was highly energetic and very personable. We loved Angelica and the little tiny short girl that was extremely sweet. The restaurants were all very nice. One night out reaervationa had not gone through but they still made sure we were able to eat where we had wanted. We had a little trouble with the room air conditioning but as soon as we called they were there to fix it. We had an overall lovely experience and would recommend Majestic Colonial to everyone!

This place is the absolute cream of the crop!! Beautifully kept resort, extra friendly staff with every encounter. I could not say anything negative about this place other than the bed was a little too firm for me! This was our 2nd trip and we plan to make it a yearly event!!!

Staying at the Majestic was great, and the staff is exceptional. The nightly shows are very good, I just wish they ran a little longer, but the band and the dancers are great. Very good host as well.
