Staff is very friendly and helpful, hotel facilities are great. Celebrated a 50th birthday and staff at restaurants are more than willing to go out their way to make it a memorable celebration. Pool staff "Ana" & "Michael" are the bomb...the best Tito's Mojitos ever!! Thank you for a great stay.

overall: underwhelming - negatives: room was about as far away from main facilities as possible and patio facing back of adjoining property kitchen, not poolside; there was a roach issue despite their "treating" it (probably because of aforementioned kitchen); minibar was not cold (even the replacement didn't work that well); one of the jets in hot tub did not work and the tub stopper didn't stay put; room wasn't cool enough; hallway by our room was dangerously dark several evenings; and not enough covered beach loungers positives: very friendly staff and responsive to any request; close to beach and area of pool where activities took place and only wet bar location; food ok though we found buffet foods not kept hot enough and cold by time you sat down with plate; restaurant options were ok, nothing overwhelming

I loved this hotel. My favorite parts had to be the pool, the entertainment & the majestic drink. The staff is very nice. Big thanks to Addso Garcia my breakfast waiter. He was amazing.

We went to Punta Cana to attend a wedding. We originally booked our stay at the Majestic Colonial, but due to bad weather in New England, we arrived in Punta Cana and whole day later and they ran out of room at the Colonial so they upgraded us to the Mirage (front desk insisted on a tip so we gave him a $20). We liked the room with the Jacuzzi on the roof deck. The Butler was helpful with booking reservations for the restaurants and doing dropping off a few souvenirs but he cannot be easily reached. We had no help with luggage when we checked out. Also, do NOT bother with room service. We arrived late around 10 and ordered room service around 10:30. The food never came and we fell asleep waiting for it. Also, their front desk is not at all helpful. I had to call 3 times just get additional shampoo or anything else I needed in the room. It's a nice place to stay if you don't need assistance with anything.

Upgraded to a swim-out room. That is the way to go. We were there during Spring Break and the hotel had many fun activities for college students and others (us). Entertainment was great and the food was good.

Fortunately, we arrived the day after some wild Spring-breakers (we heard tales from other guests) to find a beautiful resort. It is not a huge resort like some of the others (but requires a fair amount of walking), and has a pool that stretches from end of the property all the way to the beach. The staff is terrific; the housekeeping and grounds maintenance staff very efficient; the bartenders and waiters very attentive; the front desk staff helpful and efficient. Plenty to do besides lounging by the beautiful pool or on the gorgeous beach. The seafood restaurant and the Japanese restaurant had terrific food. The beachfront buffet was great for breakfast, and had okay lunch and snacks all day. The paella on the beach was a real disappointment (our only criticism!) We have been to several all-inclusive island resorts and this was by far the best. We also used Amstar for roundtrip service between airport and resort -- quick and efficient.

4 days in paradise with an amazing staff. I really liked the entertainment team, they did everything in there will to keep a smile on our faces, specially coca cola( staff entertainer).

We moved here from another hotel and found it comforable. The food was good, all you want and drinks too. Staff very very nice. Would go back. They could use some new curtians in the rooms, bed and bath was very nice, plenty of hot water.

We had great time at the Majestic Colonial Resort, food was good, shows were awesome abd personnel is great and attentive, they especially were greeting and joking with our 2 years old son.

The food is amazing, the pool is nice and the beach is beautiful. Not far from airport. Only negative thing I would say is that smoking is allowed anywhere and it is suppose to be family friendly. If I had had kids I wouldn't want to go there. I hate the smell of cigarettes so that was a discomfort for me. Other than that the hotel is beautiful.

My husband and two friends first trip to the Dominican Republic. We will definitely be back to the Majestic Colonial Punta Cana resort. We had an excellent time. A shout out to our Butler David and Pool #3 staff Rafael , Arielis and Hector for such great service and Louis one of the waiters in the beachside restaurant . THe entertainment staff and many others work hard too! They also had a big Super Bowl party and a beach party with food and dance on the beach. Food was great always a place for food or beverage. Rooms are nice, large and clean. The beach is Beautiful sandy beach , we walk everyday! Used blue transport service from airport to hotel. They looked for us! fast service to and from hotel. Club membership has its perks. We will be back next year!

We were there for 3 nights and lost water for at least 30 minutes the first night there. The elevators didn't aways work and we were on the 3rd floor and my husband has a bad foot. The female bartender especially at the VIP beach bar was not friendly at all. like I said not the best not the worst. I do have to say is that the room was very clean which is very important to me.

All was great, entertainment staff was awesome, clean, good food , good events, lots of fun

We had a wonderful vacation. This is our first stay at an all-inclusive resort and we're extremely pleased. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The beach is beautiful and the pool and pool bar are a great place to hang out. Fun activities to watch or participate in.

We have been to Rivera maya and here. We liked the Dominican much better. Our resort was clean with a lot of option for daily entertainment, close to the beach, with a beach bar. We walked to two other resorts and were able to get free service there also. Our house keeping and butler were great. We had free room service 24 hours which was nice. If anything was wrong they made every point to correct it for us. The one thing we would have liked to see would have been a hot tub.

Just got back from long weekend stay. Hotel was very nice and staff was great. Japanese, French, and domican restaurants were very nice. Ruddy, at the dominican restaurant and buffet made our stay extra special, thank you! Only complaint was the pool was a bit cold, first time ever but it didn't stop us from using it. Will definitely return!

The staff could not do enough for you. The food was good, the waves at the beach were awesome.we stayed at the colonial club. Well worth the upgrade.

nice hotel but could be improved

top notch resort
