Getting towels for pool beach difficult. Often "out" of towels before noon. Water was off for 12 hours on a Saturday. Poor staff communication with guests regarding outage. Food was ok. Lots of seaweed in water and snorkeling off beach not good. Crowded.

Excellent, amazing , beatifull hotel , the atention of the staff was excellent

We had difficulty finding out the first day where to get towels for the beach and the pool. We found out you needed a towel card. I do not believe this was explained to us when we checked in, but we checked in late in the evening. In the afternoon, they ran out of clean towels. We really liked having access to the Colonial Club room.

Upon arrival we made our way to the checkin desk where the staff were rude by purposely ignoring us. No one welcomed us they just kept walking back and forth shuffling paper work talking amongst themselves while we stood there. After 10 mins they collected our passports my parents were staying in the adults only section while my husband baby and I were staying in the family section ... the receptionist Jom took my parents through the VIP section telling us we could not follow them to the adults only section which was fine however he left us in the lobby waiting with an infant in the swealtering heat for so long I revisited the check in desk to find out he made a copy of my Id but never checked us in ... and therefore I had to wait and start the process all over again . Next diaster was our room located on the first floor on the garden side. Right away we noticed the Air conditioning was awful the room barely got cold and was always super humid. The room was not clean there was mold in the jacuzzi tub the shower was so dirty I wore flip flops in the shower reminded me of a college dorm at best. The knobs for the showers and sinks were rusted and there were insects throughout the room. The bed is beyond firm and the comforter feels like sandpaper. Food overall was okay.The supreme buffet had a good variety of all you can eat food. The pools are well kept and very nice however getting towels is Nightmare and their system is ridiculous beware !!!!

This hotel is by far the best all-inclusive resort I have ever stayed at, hence my return for a second time. Top shelf liquor is a rarity in an all-inclusive resort at this price but they had every kind of top shelf drinks that you can think of. The airline managed to lose my luggage and it was not there when I arrived at the airport. I left to the hotel without it and asked for their help.They did everything they could to retrieve it and within 4 hours it was personally delivered to my room. Great job by the whole team! I recommend the Colonial Club, you get VIP treatment and a butler....... well worth it! The room, the pools, the restaurants, the shows every night all get 5 stars! A fantastic place to vacation and I will return again soon.

Our first experience at the Majestic Colonial Club. Wow, what an awesome vacation. We will definitely travel back there. Our Butler, Rimiro was so attentive. All the staff were friendly and full of energy. The resort is beautiful, weather was awesome, Ocean was gorgeous, food was delish, and drinks grwat too! Go and enjoy for yourself!

Very nice hotel, food is good, specially the French restaurant & buffet. The waiter Luis is excellent. Please watch out the room cleaning staffs, my daughter's Nikon camera and dollar bills were stolen, this is for sure it was happened in our room, she put the dollar bills in her waist bag that her uncle gave her inside the room and never brought the bag outside the room during our staying.

Ac didn't work so good and rooms were dated, no authentic food. I left America to eat real Dominican Cuisine, was not available. I guess it's to appease the "others" outside of that it's a huge resort! Great beach!

I was extremely disappointment with the quality of the food and drinks. The hotel has a really nice layout with great access to the beach.

My stay was amazing the staff and animators is what will make me book my vacation for next year at the same hotel. I traveled for a wedding with my son and everything was so magical. I loved my stay at majestic colonial resort. I went with a total of 30 family members and we had an awesome time.

-Was not accommodated properly, in laws were in one area of resort and we were on the complete opposite end when complained about it nothing was done (hence we booked together so that we could be accommodated side by side due to us having small children) -Elevators did not work properly (we witnessed guests trapped inside not once but twice, different days and different Elevators ) -Horrible Wi-Fi service -Jacuzzi tub on private patio did not work properly -Multiple friends had personal items stolen out of rooms -power outage for 2+ hours... no AC in room while trying to sleep equals cranky and grumpy children -Shows and entertainment were absolutely superb wish that would make up for all of the negative. -room was spectacularly clean, fresh linens daily.

If you stay at this hotel, get the upgrade to the Colonial Club, you will get VIP treatment the entire stay. The beach was amazing, there were plenty of cabanas for everyone. It was clean as well. If you can, bring your own sunscreen, or prepare to pay $30 US at the resort.

Nice hotel overall, however had trouble with our first room it wasn't the cleanest and it smelt musty. We upgraded to the club with I highly recommend, however our room still had a musty smell. Overall, very nice hotel. Food was great... rooms need upgrading.

What an amazing resort. Everyone was so friendly and the resort is very clean. Our only complaint was the pillows were very hard and cheap. The beds are pillowtops and were very comfortble. There are some minor maintance that needs to be done in the rooms, but from what I understand a lot of damage tends to be done by young springbreakers. But for the price we paid that was minor. If your main goal is clean and good food this place is it. We didnt bring kids along this time, but definitely will next time!!

We thank the Majestic Colonial Entertainment Crew, Angelica, Coca Cola, J.C., Gasolina, Dori, and Elisa"Fresita". We had a blast. We all left with a wonderful experience and want to come back soon to enjoy our stay at the resort and to see you all again.

Upgraded on arrival to the Majestic MIRAGE. The service and facilities were wonderful and there was absolutely no reason to leave the hotel premises. The restaurants were varied and plentiful. There were different shows on every evening and in the main the entertainment was excellent. The hotel staff were respectful and spent time getting to know visitors. VERY Helpful! All in all probably the best "All inclusive" vacation I have ever experienced.

I will start my review with stating that great service started before we even arrived with quick responses from Sandra while email questions and room request. We have been to many resorts and I must say that service was on point, minus very few occasions once with very poor room service! This staff works hard to make sure your every need is met. Check in/butler: We arrived and we're greeted with cool towels and brought to colonial club check in. We were greeted by our butler yonathan and taken to our room. Yonathan went above and beyond to make us happy. He booked our reservations and on a few occasions set up something special for the hubby and I in our room. Must say that I was very pleased with the colonial club and what it has to offer and even more pleased with yonathan as our butler. Food: buffets are very good with a ton of variety. The buffet inside near the lobby has better food during the day and worth the walk from the beach. seafood and steak are very good but do have similar menus. Mexican was yummy had the tacos, and the mixed fajitas were also good and they came on fire ! Gourmet had great service and the food was good but not worth sweating in restaurant for. Filet was good but overlooked if you want medium order medium rare. I do have to say I am very disappointed with the hibachi, there was no show. It was very rushed and the food was nothing to brag about. Usually hibachi is my favorite on vacation but this left nothing to desire. Room service

Our first experience at the Majestic Colonial Club. Wow, what an awesome vacation. We will definitely travel back there. Our Butler, Rimiro was so attentive.
