Beware! The rooms have roaches! It’s odd that sites purport this property as five stars. It is an old property that doesn’t appear to have been updated in decades. The showers are old and have worms and roaches coming up through the drain. And there was an awful sewage smell in the rooms. Depending on which staff member you engaged with, you were treated with kindness or annoyance, which made for a pretty inconsistent over-all service experience. The only good thing about this location is the spa. The services were great and the therapists were amazing.

We went for my 70th birthday they really surprised me. It was very memorable thanks to a wonderful gentleman at the buffet don't know his full name he said call him Dog which was first part of his name. He is an outstanding person he acknowledged us everytime he saw us. Everyone was very helpful and professional. Thank you Riu Palace Macao

Beautiful place, the aesthetics are so nice, modern and neutral colors. The rooms amazing, but be aware if you leave the balcony door open the AC shuts off, and every time you open the door it shuts off, which made the suite a bit warm at times. Everything clean, the only thing I could complain about are the pools were too warm to get in, all of them, I wish they were cool and they seemed full of oil, muggy color (the water). The beach was full of seaweed so couldn't get in, but that's nature. The food in the Buffet "El Patio" was amazing, better than the actual restaurants they had. They had shows/entertainment for you every day and night which was nice, gives you something to do. They offer exclusions right there (to buy) . Looks like we went at off peak season because it wasn't full at all, and the lounge and pool area were never full at capacity.

I loved staying at this resort! The only complaint I have is the pool with the swimup bar was dirty. The clarity of the water was murky with sediments throughout the pool. Overall, I had a wonderful experience!

We completely enjoyed our stay at Riu Palace Macao! The beach is beautiful, pools had plenty of space and food was delicious. We did a snorkeling trip and there were so many other trips offered. I would love to see a Dominican themed restaurant and it would be nice if the bars offered small snacks (chips, nuts, just things to snack on). But 10/10 trip for us.

Employees are inattentive and dismissive. My glass and other items came up missing after making several compliants about lack of cleaning and not having towels. Manager was supposed to be available but never involved himself in my conversation with staff. I purchased excursion and was overcharged during dollar conversion in multiple occasions. They truly are scam artist on the beach and excursion

My room had roaches. When I arrived my room was not properly cleaned. The shower smelled like dog was there prior to me. Refrigerator had left over ice cream. Expedia denied my refund even though I didn’t stay one night because I made the reservation wrong. Would love to speak with a manager or someone in charge other than email.

Power outages seem to be the norm at this location…experienced about 4 during my stay even during check in. Music while relaxing at the pool was only during an event and not consistent. During check out, staff did not seem to understand my request for transportation which was prepaid.

My room was dirty and had mold. Meals at the buffet was the exact same everyday and that was very disappointing. I stayed in the “elite club” area and received a sparkling wine as a gift. The metal cap was rusty and the cork had mold. Got a replacement and it had mold as well. Room wasn’t cleaned properly even had a spider in the corner of my bathroom floor behind the door. I requested a room change but one wasn’t available as I had a swim up room. Bathroom sink doesn’t drain properly reported it, nobody came and fixed it. The area I was staying in hallway was dirty. My room door itself had mold spores on it and the walls and headboard area also has sign of mold. The coffee machine area was dirty and the cord for the coffee machine has mold. I killed a mosquito on the night stand and they came and “cleaned” the mosquito and the blood was still there.
