Overall great outstanding service and large place with lots to do

We have traveled more than the average family and found this 5 Star resort to be more of a 3.5-4 Star resort at best. While the rooms were incredibly spacious and had decent views, we learned too quickly why there are two restrooms in each suite—food borne illnesses. The food at the resort is sub par as for taste, but the worst part was getting sick. I know that can happen anywhere, but we talked with at least (6) other couples that encountered food issues during our stay as well. That is truly unacceptable at a 5 Star resort. The service was excellent from some (especially Eloy) and terrible from others—it really depended when and where we were. The activity team (Animation Team) activities were hard to locate and nobody ever knew where to find them so the energy around the games and activities weren’t what we were used to experiencing either. Junior Rivas was in training and I hope he keeps his energy as he might become one of their bright stars. The cocktails were better than most and often had premium liquors without even needing to ask. This doesn’t usually worry me or get my attention, but I am noting it because others appreciated it a lot. The bright spot—the beach here is AMAZING. I hoped for a few less beds and chairs blocking the gorgeous view, but it certainly didn’t ruin my day. The pools were awkward and everywhere. I learned that I prefer a heated pool that centralizes guests as well. That’s just my preference though—others loved it.

This property is extremely tranquil and friendly. Would highly recommend.

Location and resort was beautiful! Room was comfortable. Personalized services were excellent. Our butler, Jorge was at our service, at all times. He is an asset to this property!

Horrible service. Water got into our room and the rest of the time the service from hotel staff was not satisfactory. As if that wasn't enough, we had our credit card stolen from the room and now having to deal with fraud claims.

In reading the reviews and looking at the pictures, we were very excited to book here. We booked 3 days and 2 nights in the Skyview Suite room on the adults-only side of the resort. The resort was not very busy at all, but our check-in was delayed. The service was disorganized, frantic and slow. Not relaxing. We had to request 5 times in one day to get our room cleaned.... it wasn't cleaned until we walked up to a maid and gave her cash. Also, the food was generic (I also found hair in at least 1 meal each day). The pool area was nice. The gym was very well appointed. We were also not given any of the Orbitz VIP benefits that were promised at booking. Unfortunately, we were quite disappointed in the stay.

very happy with our trip, all staff very friendly and always eager to help, drinks were tasty and they dont scimp on the alcohol, all the restaurants on site were delicious and clean, the night time shows in the theater were great entertainment. The resorts portion of the beach was very clean, no trash or rocks/shells to cut into your feet, it was a great time and would highly recommend. The butler service was amazing, any problems or special requests and our butler Edwin had them handled in 5 minutes or less. Edwin also hooked us up with a romantic dinner on the beach for 2.

After many therapy sessions I was able to write this review. My husband and I were super excited to stay in the first floor swimout suite. We arrived at the hotel at about 8:30 PM. We were escorted to our room by the bellboy. He vehemently said that we should always keep our balcony doors locked. I found it odd. So the bellboy proceeded to "lock" the balcony doors. We never touched the doors. We went to dinner, and came back at around 12:30 AM. Went to bed at 1:15 AM. I placed both our I Phones 11 on the night table. I awoke at around 2:30 AM. I was paralyzed when I noticed both phones were gone. Called reception. After a while of sitting in fear waiting for help, two male security personnel arrive. At around 7 AM we head to management. Another couple, also waiting had $800 stolen from their safe. Management had us fill out an incident report and drove us to the police. The person who took our report said she was a victim of a robbery at her home. Before checking out of the hotel that same day, a Spanish female manager said we should stay cause " Dominican people are not killers, they are just petty thieves, so we had nothing to fear". She said" the hotel was installing cameras everywhere because that would improve security". She also noted that she was going to handle the investigation personally. No answers yet. This is not a safe country! We suffered a huge financial loss, as well as, endured suffering from the trauma. My husband and I are very lucky to have survived this.

The hotel are very good and the staffs are very nice and helpful.

My wife and I had a swim up room in the Adults Only Mirage Club section of the Majestic Mirage. Our experience was OUTSTANDING! We were treated like royalty the entire week. One of many highlights was the rose pedal path leading to our porch where Jacobs, our personal butler, had filled our jacuzzi tub with a bubble bath and rose pedals and left us a personal note. His service was unparalleled. He checked in at least 2-3 times a day to see what we needed. The beach was AMAZING too!! The cabana's and umbrella's were so relaxing and private. We never found either the beach or the adults only pool too crowded. We weren't sure what to expect and were thrilled at the live music most nights in the open air plaza and the shows in the theatre. We went to a Michael Jackson tribute show and a show called "Ladies Night" which featured five female vocalists who were all incredible!! We enjoyed the entertainment staff gently encouraging folks to get out on the dance floor. What FUN!! Finally, the food! Most breakfasts were in the Italian restaurant and we were not disappointed. My wife HIGHLY recommends the Oatmeal with fruit while I enjoyed the eggs benedict most mornings. Lunch most days was by the beach at the Mirage Club which featured finger foods and sandwiches', but the sports bar was good too.. Dinner: # 1 Japanese which we reserved twice (thanks Jacobs), # 2 Italian, and # 3 French. We prefer to sit down, so we avoided the buffet. Five Stars All Around!

Everyone there treats you like family. The place is beautiful. The beach is amazing. It's our favorite place to vacation. Love the Mirage!
