This property is rated as a 5 star but it is a 3 star at best. Upon arriving we were greeted and escorted to the preferred check in lounge. We worked with a gentleman that used the language barrier to not address any of our questions. When our butler came to take us to our room we asked him the same questions and the VIP clerk got very angry with us. We were taken to our room by our butler. He dropped us off without any discussion of where things were or how they worked. Thankfully we are experienced travelers and were able to figure things out on our own. We were given a room by the service road which was very noisy. There was mold around the sinks in the bathroom. No VIP extras were offered to us. We also noticed moldy mattresses on the bali beds around the pool area. The entertainment staff did a poor job of posting and following an activity schedule. When something was listed on the schedule and you showed up to participate, it was hit or miss if it was going to happen. The staff did not participate or organize the activity. We did participate in a corn hole activity. Afterward, the staff member insisted I write a google review for him on the spot. I said I would do it later but he took over my phone and entered his own review. I was stunned by this action and did report him to the management. This is completely unacceptable. Restaurants were average. Could always find something to eat. Our butler arranged a nice anniversary decoration for our room.

Our stay at the Majestic Mirage was utterly fantastic. Besides the all-inclusive benefits, we spent a little more to get spoiled for the day that included a private area on the beach, food served to us all day, a massage, a romantic dinner with a dedicated servant for the day (mi amigo Michael). We had a butler (the wonderful Isidro) who not only decorated our room for our 20th anniversary, but was there every day (twice a day) to help make arrangements for excursions and anything else we needed. EVERYBODY was so very pleasant, polite and friendly.

The resort was a premium experience with excellent facilities. The only two things I would improve would be the lack of staff near the beach (one single lady attending over 30 people) and the sadly, understandable priority certain U.S.A. guests got at bars and restaurants due to disposition to give bigger tips.

The roof terrace room was awesome. The staff were so friendly and helpful. We loved the Steak house restaurant. My wife loved the coffee house. Our first butler Jean Claude was amazing. The evening entertainment was good. The hotel layout was very good with the focal point of the square with the lobby bars, restaurants, and most other facilities nearby. The hotel made a great effort for the special events we were there for, including the Super Bowl and Valentines. On the slightly negative side, the Italian restaraunt, we found to be poor Witt slow service and disappointing quality food. At the seaside and main buffet (but not so much the main buffet) we could find some service stations unmanned for more than just brief moments. The Buffett quality was mixed - we were disappointed with the Mexican night with limited choices, and substandard food. We had a couple of issues with cleaning the jacuzzi tub but nothing major. It needed refreshed anyway as it seemed to have seen better days. WiFi was good throughout the property - including the beach and by the pool - but our room and especially the rooftop was a bit of a dead zone, so when watching live sport had to go to the club-room to avoid frequent freezing during a game. Would we stay again, yes, we love the area, the beach, the people, the service, the climate, the food choices and the general feeling of being in paradise.

We have stayed at Majestic Elegance 4-5 times in the past and were very pleased, so we decided to try staying at the Mirage property. We are glad we did, it exceeded our expectations. We booked a swim-out adult club room and we couldn't have been happier. Amazing staff is always around if you have any questions or need anything. Plenty of food choices. We were not that impressed with the Italian restaurant, but liked the steakhouse, and Japanese. We have stayed at Serenade All-Suites, Dreams Punta Cana (now called Wyndum Alltra) and Bavaro Princess and Majestic resorts are much better (our opinion). We will be back next year for sure!

I cannot put into words how amazing our time at the Majestic Mirage was. They treated us like we were the only guest at the resort. Our butler Leonel Richie was outstanding and arranged every little detail we requested of him. Talking to other guest of the resort we learned that most of them were returning guest of more than 10 years. After seeing how the staff treated us we can see why you have guest that return for more than a decade. We celebrated our anniversary with you and you made it so very special. Thank you for everything you do. We are planning our next trip with you in the next couple months. We will be requesting that our butler Leonel be our contact on our next visit. Thank you so much
