The food at virtually every restaurant was subpar, and to make matters worse, the sevice was slow. Staff was neither friendly nor helpful. Also, our "Butler" was rarely seen and didn't offer much service. Lastly, the Front Desk and Room Service rarely answered their phones so we often "went without" rather than finding someone who would help.

My husband and I came here for our honeymoon and were very disappointed. Despite noting multiple times that it was our honeymoon (at pre-check-in, at the front desk, and to our butler), we received none of the honeymoon amenities. Another couple, not even married, was mistakenly given them instead. We booked a swim-out room, but the pool was filthy with algae and leaves the entire stay—it wasn’t cleaned until the day we checked out. Our butler also failed to make dinner reservations after we gave him our requests. The only acknowledgment of our honeymoon was being handed a T-shirt. For such a special occasion, we expected better. Unfortunately, the experience did not live up to what was promised.

First thing, when reviewing the ratings I suggest everyone take every bad review into consideration and not just focus on the good reviews. This is for any property but this one in particular seems the only accurate reviews are the bad ones. When we first got here all but the driver that was about to get off his shift was in a bad mood. Got to the “resort” early and you are definitely going to have to wait till 3pm at least to actually get into your room. Once we got in the smell of mildew was really really really bad. And when we told the front desk they sent someone to spray some perfume in the room and try to explain away the reasoning to the smell, promised a dehumidifier that came a day and a half later and only ran for 5 min and was never changed out. The look of the room is nice until you start to really inspect and start to notice the fact that the room isn’t really clean at all. The food or what they try to pass off as something edible that you should put into your body was one of the worst things we experienced seeing people need to eat and at this place not eating is probably your best bet. But my worst experience by far was the fact that I got my luggage about two hours after actually being in the room and open it to find out the “resort” searched through our belongings. The utter shock at the fact that they would do that was horrifying, thank God we weren’t one of the many thief stories. BEST THING ABOUT THIS PROPERTY IS FINALLY LEAVING.

Our stay at the Majestic was fantastic. The property is beautiful, with immaculately maintained grounds and spotless pools. The suites are spacious and comfortable, and the food and drinks were excellent with plenty of variety. What truly set this resort apart was the staff—the friendliest I’ve experienced anywhere in the world. Our butler, Fernando, went above and beyond with a warm, professional, and welcoming approach, even helping us book excursions off-property. I traveled with two teenagers who loved every minute. We felt completely safe, and there were always fun activities to enjoy. I would highly recommend the Majestic to anyone looking for an unforgettable vacation!
