Beautiful location, staff is friendly but hotel needs more amenities mattress are too firm not comfortable at all. My back is hurting from hard mattress. Not many options for food, food isn’t tasty at all. No room service available .

Bueno, pero la comida puede mejorar.

A small all-inclusive, so if you are looking for a ton of food options and entertainment, this is not it. I traveled with my 18-yr old daughter and we really enjoyed it. Staff is helpful and welcoming, especially Victor up front and unfortunately I can't remember the hostess' name at the buffet. Some people complain about the boats right up front in the water, but I thought it added to the charm and if you want boat-free beach, there is a very nice one where you can walk forever right on the left of the property. Food was not great, but decent; we always found what we liked. We preferred to eat at the buffet, since the only time we ate at the Italian restaurant it was not great and took forever to get our food although there were only two other tables eating. Drinks are good and they will make them stronger if you ask (and especially if you tip). The town is right outside the hotel (maybe 7 min walk), but all the restaurants/shops are way overpriced (for good food off the beaten path, go to El Fogon. For souvenirs, buy them at the airport-way cheaper.) The Quinta Avenida is still worth checking out-a nice walk in the evening, if you don't mind being hassled a bit by some vendors. The only downside to the resort is that the pool and swim up bar close way too early.

The minute u get there check in says it’s not In all inclusive unless paid more second the staff is very unprofessional talking to other staff in Spanish like we don’t understand them but we do and the staff is rude there was one guy at the bar outstanding his name is Alejandro but I would not recommend this place save ur money or spend a bit more to get better service some were else

I work in the customer service industry, and I understand how important it is to write reviews that are truthful and accurate to my experience. It’s actually experiences. I’ve stayed at this hotel over 10 times. And I say with complete confidence I will again. What is important to me; may not be important to you. The area around the hotel, and the hotel itself is safe…the hotels location couldn’t be better; it is in close proximity to everything. I don’t want to be stuck at the hotel; I want to be able to explore in walking distance. 5th ave is in walking distant of the hotel; which has tons of restaurants and nightlife and shopping ; I couldn’t imagine taking a cab every time I wanted to leave the hotel. The community- since this is not a massive hotel you see the same faces, meet people, build connections if you want to with other travelers; some you can become close with if that’s what your looking for. I personally don’t want to meet other travelers and have difficulty finding them again; this doesn’t happen here, due to how the hotel is layed out and based the size. The same faces you see at dinner, you’ll see by the pool, you’ll see at a show near the pool, you’ll see at the ocean… speaking of the pool. I LOVE the pool. It’s big, it’s quiet, there isn't music blaring, yes music is playing but it isn’t obnoxious. It’s relaxing, it’s convenient; the swim up bar can take a bit of time to get a drink but I’m not in a rush on vacation. Again this is me.

Very accommodating staff! They work hard on cleaning, and pay special attention to eco issues. Always friendly. Beach looked great! Just a wonderful overall vibe!

The beautiful architecture of the hotel was laid out in the unique made a beautiful ambience

the room smelled of cigarettes. and they do not allow drinks or food to be brought into the room

Constant attention to detail and cleanliness. Great, friendly staff.

the pool and staff was great, the food at the buffet is subpar at best. the restaurants on the property are amazing, especially the Samurai restaurant (don't expect to leave dinner sober is all i'm saying!) make sure to make your reservations asap. the people at the help desk for excursions were fantastic, we did Rio Secreto. the massages at the property were great and worth the $$. the beds are very firm, there is a sewage smell around areas of the hotel but it's not horrendous. showers are just decent, our rooms shower head wasn't lovely but got the job done. a lot of seaweed but that isn't the resorts fault, global warming is to blame for them. all in all, a great "budget" hotel and we had a lot of fun.

1. The buffet food was cold no matter what time we ate there. The restaurants however, were very good. 2. The beach was full of seaweed and we ended up not even swimming in the ocean our whole trip. 3. The evening entertainment was just ok, but we have experienced much better other places. In addition, the evening entertainment didn't start until 9:30, so there weren't many people there and if you have kids you either have to miss the entertainment or keep your kids awake until 11pm. 4. Everyone puts their towels over the pool chairs first thing in the morning so there are never any chairs available unless you choose to move someone else's stuff. It would be nice if the staff didn't allow that to happen because there are times when people aren't using their chairs for hours at a time and others could have definitely used them. 5. There is visible black mold in the room and bathroom that appears to have already been covered up by paint. My husband, daughter, and myself all got sick on our trip and we are wondering if the mold had anything to do with it. 6. The staff were great! They were all very helpful and friendly.

They have a very nice pool and amenities such as access to beach, beach chairs, nice views and great lobby. It is close to the shopping and restaurants on Quinta Avenida (5th Ave). Staff was friendly and event director, Boris was quite fun and accommodating.

The sewage smell upon arrival is very poweful. The door to our room stick and seemed broken. This resort is in need of some repairs. The staff with the exception of a few sermed in experienced and very under stffed. Food was great.

the food was good, pool area was nice, lobby was nice, staff very friendly, a little pushy on the spa packages and diving trips. the rooms were small, cramped, shower was ridiculous in size and safety issues. we had to move our rooms because not what we requested 6 months ago the smell around the entire hotel was nauseating.

It was ok. I will never stay here again. I expected better. When we got there the concierge was trying to have us commit to a meeting to sell us a time share or something around those lines, he was very insistent. We told them ok, but didn’t show up to the meeting. The guy came looking for us to ask us why we didn’t show up. We were trying to relax without any compromises nor wanted any commitments. We told him that and he got bothered. For crying out loud…We’re on vacation!
