Great jungle with animals Nice beach And the swimming pool rocked

The pros: Beautiful location on Playacar Beach, gorgeous grounds, and friendly staff. The buffets were good and we loved the jungle paths. The cons: Rooms need updating. Disappointed that there was no room service or beach/pool service.

The property was great. The staff was friendly and knowledgeable. The rooms were clean and cool, loved the eco friendly vibe. The on-site wildlife was fun. I felt terrible for the Tucan in the cage, and the pool water was disgusting.

The staff was super friendly and accommodating. Great food, plenty to do.

its was our first all inclusive vacation. the staff was very friendly the hotel was really clean and maintained. The food quality was good. The acativies they did around the pool and by the beach was really nice. Enjoyed the stay.

The hotel is nice, the grounds are beautiful, the rooms are outdated but clean and still nice. The main buffet food is delicious, seems to be better then restaurants, good variety and really tasty since most of it is being cooked in front of you.

We upgraded to an ocean view room and our air conditioner was always 78 degrees. They could not do anything about it and would not discount our rate. The pool was bath water temperature as well. If you don’t mind those two problems it is a great property. I will not be going back.

Staff was great. From bartenders to the house cleaning, everyone went above and beyond. If i had one complaint it would be that the Air conditioning in the rooms needs to be upgraded. Temp in the room felt around 78°F which made it necessary to sleep with the fan on every night. Other than that, our stay was great!

Food was very good, rooms need some updating on the AC and bed side. Other than that staff was amazing, would recommend.

Food and service staff were great. Food options were pretty good for an all-inclusive, quality was better than other hotels I've stayed at. Booking restaurants was kind of a pain just like all inclusives are. You can book 3 reservations upon arrival and then you have to book daily there after and there were limited options available such as 9p which doesn't work with most families. The ala cartes were pretty good, Japanese was good teppanyaki style, italian had some decent dishes, surprisingly mexican was the worst of all. Drinks were not too great, terrible plastic bottle alcohol choices and their glass bottle stuff was really low end. House beer was dos equis which was decent but the rest of the alcohol was pretty bad. The rooms are extremely dated and likely why they don't show many pictures online. Beds are hard, AC barely works, water temperature is intermittent between scalding hot and cold. We had bugs in our room at multiple times due the location of this hotel being essentially in the jungle. Front desk service staff was not very helpful when needing to change rooms or make adjustments. They have time share programs but aren't overly pushy about getting you to sit through the program. The beach is cleaned but the water quality was terrible from the seaweed. Such a drastic change from when we went to cancun and PDC 7 years ago, likely will not go again. The beaches were the best, and now they are worse than Southern California.

The staff was very friendly. The property was safe and very enjoyable. We had a wonderful time!!

AC did not work. They intentionally kept at high temperatures to save money while it was so humid. They restrict only 1 sit down reservation in a restaurant per trip. Food is terrible. We ended up eating the same food at the buffet everyday. Their alcohol is super watered down. Staff is rude esp guys sitting behind the phone. They hung up on us twice. Save yourself a vacation by booking elsewhere. Rooms are 2-3 star quality We were surprised it had 4.7 reviews

The property is beautiful. Staff is attentive and extremely helpful. Food choices are endless and very good. I can't wait to return.

Very nice

Bottom line...place is below average for an all inclusive if you ask me. If you want to enjoy your vacation go to Moon Palace instead. Trust me i have stayed at both places, its a no brainer!!!! Pros: 1. Pool was good 2. Good kids activities...kept them busy Cons: 1. Dont fall for room upgrade trick. Its def not worth it AT ALL!!! Upgrade room looked lower than even standard. Like a motel. 3. Food quality and variety was very limited and they run out of some food items after an hour of buffet start time.. 4. Service was horrible. For an all inclusive, they barely give you any food when asked in speciality dining. I asked for 2nd round of sake and got an attitude from the waiter. They give you a tiny tiny piece of spring role with sushi and i asked for 5 more pieces which in USA is equal to just 1 spring roll and they flat out said we cannot give more. You only get one. On pizza in speciality dining they put a limit on number of toppings we could add. 5. Be careful in the big pool, my son got a cut on his big toe in the middle of the pool due to lose tile. I told they someone should inspect, but i think it fell in deaf ears. I know they will reply with their standard message, but its too late now. I would never want to go back there again for sure. Again. I would much rather stay at moon palace cancun. Day and night difference in service and quality.

Amazing resort.
