We stayed 8 nights in August and it was great. This was our first time in Mexico and we were not disappointed we will definitely come back. Here are the Pros and Cons: Pros: Lazy River and Wave pool are the best. We stayed most of the time there. You don't have to wake up at 6 am to reserve chairs, they are always available no matter what time of the day you go. People in Mexico are nice, they don't hassle you for tips. They provide a great service no matter if you tip them or not. Food: food was delicious in a buffet and restaurants. For breakfast and lunch we went to buffets and for dinners we booked Restaurants for each night - book Restaurants as soon as you arrive. We stayed at Lindo but used buffets and restaurants in Maya, Beach and Del Mar. Rooms: rooms are very clean, we only showered and slept so for me if everything works and it is clean I am happy. Cons: Mosquitos!! I was really surprised that they don’t use mosquitos’ sprays and repellent. We forgot to take sprays with us and first a few days we were eaten alive. My kids killed over 20 mosquitos one night. We complained to concierge and they gave us wipes and sprays but it still did not help. So if you stay here don’t leave balcony door or room open. Beach: the beach is beautiful but full of seaweeds. They cleaned seaweeds only once during our 8 days stay. I understand Mother Nature and seaweed problems but the resorts has to do something and that it gets cleaned every day and not once a week.

Long walk to get to lobby and food very mediocre, room was always cleaned timely. Alcoholic drinks very poor quality alcohol

The hotel is amazing, great customer service, they are really friendly and professional.

The property is beautiful and very large. I would highly recommend staying here.

The night shows were great! Staff shows guests a good time.

I like the food, andcthe way employees treat the guess like a family

Well organized resort, clean & great service. The food is decent. The beach is nice however it was very windy and lots of seaweed for the entire week we stayed. The room was clean however it needs remodeling.

We had an excellent time at our Iberostar Resort. The hotel was very clean. Staff members were always cleaning and sweeping the grounds. The lifeguards Carlos Vasquez, Alberto Luna, and Juan Hilario that were on duty at the Mar & Beach Resorts were amazing!! They took the time out to teach my son on how to be a life guard. They were so attentive to the safety of the patrons swimming in the ocean. These lifeguards made our experience one that we won’t ever forget!!! These guys are the reason why we will return back to Iberostar next year for our vacation!!

Family of 4 with 2 teenage boys. We loved the resort, amenities, activities and food options. 2 majors problems with our stay. We, along with many other people, had problems getting reservations at the restaurants so we had to eat at the buffet which was very good. The restaurants we did eat at were not very good. The other problem is communicating activities. Their app was wrong about half the time. We changed our day several times to do something which never happened. Very frustrating. Not sure we would go back because food and predictability are important to us. If these are not a priority then I would highly recommend this resort.

Beautiful beach, good food and amazing evening shows - this will be a trip to remember. We've stayed at a number of all-inclusives and this one has some of the best buffets! You could eat at a different restaurant every night but we found the menus quite limited by way of options - not a complaint, just an observation. The staff were fantastic, friendly and helpful. The 'Star Camp' for the kids is broken up into age groups, so our 16 year old son had a great time! The prices at the resort gift shops were crazy expensive, that was the one down side, and not much selection at the shopping mall.

Overall it was amazing. The grounds were well maintained and the cleaning staff did a great job. My only complaint and this is minor is about the food. You have to make reservations early in order to go to the sit down restaurants, otherwise you would be stuck eating at the buffet. My wife and I had recently taken a trip to Thailand so I did a lot of comparing of the two trips and I felt like the food here was trying to be a 5 star, but mostly fell into the 4-4.25 star range. Having said that, I didn’t go hungry. We had Japanese one night, Mexican, the steakhouse, Cajun and Italian on the other nights. I highly recommend the Mexican, steakhouse and Italian. We weren’t able to get reservations for the Brazilian steakhouse, which I was disappointed to hear. Overall the trip was worth the money, we even spent half a day in Tulum. I returned home wanting to plan another vacation, which is a good sign that the trip was enjoyable! Our poolside waitress Yadira was awesome and she needs a raise! Also, the guys who did karaoke were a joy to be around and kept the party going. They both even said they were sad to see us leave when they saw us taking our luggage to the lobby. Overall, a job well done by all staff!

It was a really nice all inclusive beach resort with nice staff and an affordable price. Exactly what we were looking for.

Lindo was excellent. Great facilities and amenities.

I can’t say enough good things about this resort!!! Every single person was so amazing & wanted to help or give you a warm greeting @ all times. The resort itself was so beautiful...1 of the nicest we had been to. It had EVERYTHING u could ever want in a resort. I was shocked about how good the food was for an all inclusive...it was like restaurant quality. The pools are organized so well & they have plenty of chairs for everyone. The beach is beautiful with white sand & all...the waves were very rough when we were there & it has a lot of seaweed. The resort has a nice mall with gift shops, cafe, a galaxy disco, casino, spa, restaurant, bar & crepe/ice cream place. I liked the way the room patios were set up...enclosed for privacy yet still open. The entertainment is not cheesy resort shows...they are professional level & very good. Recommend 100%!!
