We had an absolutely incredible stay at this El Dorado Royale and couldn’t have chosen a better place to celebrate our honeymoon. From start to finish, everything exceeded our expectations, and the staff truly went above and beyond to make us feel special every single day. Itzel at the Cocotal restaurant was so warm, friendly, and welcoming — she always greeted us with a smile and made every meal even more enjoyable. At the pool, Benjamin and Luis were hands-down some of the best bartenders we’ve ever had — fun, energetic, and always keeping the atmosphere lively while making amazing drinks. Cleo, the bartender by the beach, was fantastic and always made sure we were refreshed while enjoying the ocean views. Our room was impeccably clean every day thanks to Estella from room service — we truly appreciated the care and attention she put into making our stay comfortable. Dining was a highlight of our trip. Sergio at the pizza restaurant was incredibly kind and attentive, and Victor at the Santa Fe Restaurant provided outstanding service. A huge shout-out to Roberto at the Cocotal restaurant — he was always happy, professional, and genuinely attentive, making us feel like valued guests every time we saw him. Overall, we were beyond happy with our experience. The service, atmosphere, and attention to detail made our honeymoon unforgettable. We would 100% recommend this resort to anyone looking for a relaxing, fun, and memorable vacation, and we can’t wait to come back again!

We took the Lomas Hospitality that came with our all inclusive from the airport and back again.We had a really smooth trip there and back.We got to the hotel a couple hours before check in but we got to have lunch at one of te restaurants as soon as we got there.The resort is very well taken care of lots of staff.Lots of different restaurants to choose from.The pools are not heated so the water wasnt as warm but we went the last week in November so thats to be expected. The beach is not swimable here.And their salt water pool was under renovation while we were there but our room was cleaned everytime we left.The food was amazing,Mexican night was our favorite along with The Spot for lunch.It rained one afternoon so we booked a spa and it was a really good experience. They do have their reps that show you around to get you to sign up for membership we did not but still got a free spa treatment. For a quiet 20th anniversary trip we had an amazing time.We do wish they had an option for non drinkers,and for that reason we would probably choose non all inclusive next time.

The property is beautiful, very large, and the rooms were nice. If you're a beach person, you wont like it because of the barriers. It was very quiet when we were there and when they played music it was older (like decades). I wish there was more local food available. We survived on room service. The food at the restaurants was underwhelming. The service was great; everyone was so willing to assist. Thr drinkscwere great! Overall we had a really good time!

Was pushed to book with our concierge for activities but the excursions the concierge book are the extra cost ones. They forgot to tell us that the excursions included with our package had to be booked at the check in area. Room was clean. Most staff were nice. Had to make a reservation every night for dinner, couldn’t walk in to a restaurant. On our first day there we sat down to make “reservations” for our dinners for the week and a lot of the restaurants were booked until like 9:00 or 9:30 or not available at all. The cenote was closed. You had to pay extra for the cabana beds. There is a lot of walking to destinations within the resort, just a tip for those who have trouble walking long distances.

Perfect for those that like to pay extra for literally everything. As soon as you get there, they try to sell you expensive dinner package and as soon as you say you're not interested, you become a leper to them. Never meet our concierge, We were only able to make reservations for 2 restaurants which we didn't really have a choice for. The dinner was like appetizers so we were definately hungry and had to settle for burgers and hot dogs. Also, we kept getting disconnect every time we called the front desk or room service. Bring good walking shoes, you'll be walking all day getting from place to place since their golf carts are nonexistent. Other than that. Pretty place

They can put more lights at night and signs on the pathways at night its scary to walk at night, I run into an alamid on my way back to our unit after dinner, and one other tailed animal that resembles a racoon. on our way back from our dinner. We get lost twice looking for for our room.Theres not a lot of people/staff to ask for information.we need more instructions at check in. The staff in the restaurants are efficient, professional and pleasing to deal with, every food they served are delicious. Staff are nice and helpful otherwise.Beatiful resort!

Not a great ending to our vacation with a day wasted trying to figure out why the hotel transfer wanted us to leave early. We got a taxi of their choice and he overcharged and became aggressive. The beach and buffet were lacking and subpar. This is not a 5 star hotel, maybe 3.5. Westjet delayed us an hour and they gave us a smaller plane as we paid for premium seating on a Max-800. The hotel, airline and transportation services aren’t in concert, which is normal but this was egregious and stressful. Hoping they can fix things for their sake.

The catamaran excursion at Marona Beach was the highlight of my trip. I did not like that it was so difficult for dinner reservations and waiting for a ride around the resort. Overall, I did enjoy my accommodations.

Staying at El Dorado Royale was a great experience! My husband and I stayed for a week there. The staffing was fantastic, the food car shuttles were really beneficial on rainy days. The food options are amazing. I really loved the Italian restaurant. All restaurant options were so tasty and delicious. I like the idea of giving a free pass to the water park at Nickelodeon Resort. The transportation was very pleasant since they have taxis that work for the Resort, so it’s easy to get around if you need to go to another location or explore downtown. We will definitely be coming back!

During our time, there were a few things that happened that did not meet our expectations during our stay. 1. We were not given a schedule of activities upon arrival and had to question numerous people to figure out what to do the day of our arrival. There weren't many people who were willing to provide us a schedule or let us know what activities were available. So we didn't feel like we got as much out of our first day as we could have. 2. The pool had an abnormal amount of bugs in it and white debris in it that looked like disintegrating toilet paper. The pool was full of it, and many people we spoke to commented on it. It made us uncomfortable to be in the pool. 3. Someone must have vomited in the stairwell of our building. When I called the front desk to have someone clean it up, I was transferred numerous times and hung up on. Housekeeping cleaned rooms but kept walking past the pile for a full day. The next day, there were two piles of vomit and a pile of feces in the same hallway. It wasn't until we told our personal concierge about it that anyone did anything to clean up the area. 4. There were dirty cups in our hallway on the first day we arrived that were still there when we left, that housekeeping never cleaned. 5. The service in general from the staff wasn't what we are used to. The staff wasn't as pleasant or helpful as it has been when we stay with other resorts. We won't be staying at Lomas Hospitality resorts again in the future.

We had an amazing stay. The property is covered with full-grown trees, dense bushes and flowers of all kinds. All the amenities are well spaced out, but still at walking distances. Lots of different restaurants and type of foods available. High variety of included activities every day. Bali beds by the beach were a must! The personnel were absolutely charming. In mid October the resort felt like a private place . Not sure how close to max capacity they were for the time of the year. There was a couple of hard rain afternoons for a couple of days. But mostly it rained at night and didn’t hold us back from activities. We will come back for sure !

We stayed here for our honeymoon it was absolutely beautiful and a wonderful time. They were a little pushy about upgrades but other then that it was perfect.
