The property was in a great location close to lots of shopping restaurants and nightlife Security had a very strong presence the staff was all polite very accommodating, the rooms were very comfortable especially the beds, plenty of towels room service was very promp, .

This resort is right next to the mall, 5th Ave, and the ferry to Cozumel. The staff is fantastic and always go above and beyond to please you. The food is delicious and making reservations to the specialty restaurants is easy. We did not order room service during our stay but our family members did and they loved it. The great thing about this resort is that you can visit the sister properties and eat over at those too. We took the ferry to Cozumel and spent the day at the Cozumel Palace and ate, snorkeled, and swam over there with same level of service. They have what looks like a beautiful beach and I say that because we were not able to enjoy the beach as the seaweed blooms were terrible. That is in no way the resort's fault and in fact their team cleared out so much of the beached seaweed that I was amazed at the difference of how much was there when we arrived and much much was gone when we left a week later.

Amazing place!! At the pool Sylvia, Jesus, Alexis, and the entertainment staff (Jorge) were excellent and above & beyond amazing services with a smile on top of it! The food was very good and the beach was pristine soft sand, no seaweed in February. The grounds were perfectly manicured and well maintained. The room was spacious with comfortable beds and pillows with snacks and mini fridge stocked with water, soda, juice & Beer and they have an app that you can download to your phone that allows you to pick what you want in the fridge and bar and they always came within 10 minutes. Nightly entertainment was fun with shows nightly along with a bar with pool tables that seemed to be pretty busy every night (which I preferred it that way). It is family friendly, although during our stay (first week of February 2022 8 days) there were only a few kids and almost no teenagers. I would recommend Playacar Palace because of the out standing service beautiful beach, great food and 1 minute walk to shopping (5th street) which I felt very safe walking around with my son & wife. Looking forward to returning next year or sooner!!

It was a beautiful resort.

We like the staff service in the restaurants and the pool area. We don’t like the room cleanness and the noise from the hallway during the night.

The service was fantastic! Everyone did their best to make my son and I feel welcomed and made sure we enjoyed our stay.

This was our second time staying at Playacar Palace. We enjoy basically everything about staying here. All facilities are kept 100%. The staff is made up of the friendliest and most accommodating people we have ever met. The location is the best - right around the corner from all of the downtown shopping, restaurants, etc. Perfect for walks every night after dinner. We will always continue to stay here every time we travel.

Everything was great however I would have love to attend the restaurants that were by reservation.

Had a great time at Playacar Palace! Stayed 5 nights - staff is great, food really good. We explored Cozumel and had dinner/ drinks at Cozumel Palace using our all inclusive stay at 1 play at 6 benefits. We loved being able to quickly walk over to 5th Ave for shopping. Great times!!

We visited Playacar Palace for a short 5 day getaway in May. We have been traveling to Palace Resorts in Cancun and were excited to try this one. It started off a bit rocky when we were taken to our room (we were told we received a free upgrade) though it was a beautiful view, we quickly noticed there was not a full balcony. We went back to the front desk and asked to be moved as we really enjoy sitting outside and relaxing and given our reservation stated a balcony. We were told no we could check back tomorrow. I have not desire to delay my vacation in order to move rooms tomorrow so we got over it. Honestly though that was the only negative we have. The food, service, spa were topnotch and we will definitely return to Playacar.

We had the best stay! There is no possible way we could even imagine better service at the Playacar Palace. That staff was awesome. They were never intrusive but were at our beck and call every minute. There is nothing – from moving umbrellas at the pool to bringing unexpected extras at restaurants to just being super accommodating – the people at the resort were the best attraction, hands down. The room was clean as a whistle, and the view was absolutely spectacular. We never saw the cleaning staff, but they kept our room sparkling constantly. The food was way, WAY beyond what we had expected. The Italian restaurant was five-star every time we went (order the Mayan coffee!) and the Japanese restaurant was outstanding. Get reservations to sit at the Hibachi grill early because it is worth it!! The regular restaurant/buffet that is open 24-7 was top notch and the breakfast in there was awesome. The pool and beach are world class primarily because of the service. The pool side staff that provides entertainment constantly throughout the day was fantastic - truly nice people who are really organized. Forget the hotel credits program and the $1500 or whatever you can spend. The prices are seriously jacked up and you have to pay a 16% fee/tax, so there’s no value there. Do whatever excursions you want. Don’t depend on the hotel to give you anything. We did the Total Cozumel and the Tulum trip. Both were great. The Tulum trip was quick and easy but not so much as a water or a pack of crackers from 8-1:30. Do the Grayline pickup and return taxi to the airport. They were super punctual, clean rides and really nice. We were in a nice van to the hotel and a Mercedes to the airport. Couldn’t ask for more.

Hotel location was perfect with great sea view if you get a room on the third or fourth floor. Staff were great and very polite. Nightly entertainment is just OK. If you are not a timeshare or VIP member however, you may not get a nice shady area unless you get up and reserve it very early in the morning. Also restaurants do not accept reservation which makes waiting time long at times. Also, the $1500 credit comes with conditions that make it not worth using. In General, we had a great time and will go back again

We stayed at Playacar Palace for a wedding in February and had a great time. The resort is smaller than most other resorts and has only 203 rooms. The image of the pool is essentially the resort with the rooms surrounding it. Rooms were ok but definitely some wear and tear can be seen throughout. The food is better than most of the resorts we've stayed at. The pasta at the italian place is handmade and tasted great. They have fresh fish that they get from the ocean and cooked daily. Even though the resort was full you can alway find a lounge chair by the pool. People are nicer at this resort also. The service poolside was slow but you can always swim up to the bar. Overall had a great time.

Playacar Palace is a very nice hotel, right at the start of Quinta Avenida. A shopping/bar street you won't find in Cancun. Hotel is not too big and you feel stuck in the resort. The rooms are spacious with an amazing view on the sea (with Cozumel at the horizon). The spa is amazing and all staff very service focused. 3 restaurants serve nice international food. The beach is large and clean. Take the ferry (right next to the hotel) and enjoy the facilities of the sister hotel in Cozumel. Pool is little small and bit crowded.

We stayed at the Palace March 8-12th. Overall wasn't bad but didn't have that "didn't want to leave" feeling. The food was pretty good but not spectacular. The staff for the most part were very good, always smiling and helpful. The room was average but still nice. Where we got turned around was a few things. When we got there we didn't get the room we requested but they still gave us an upgrade and it was a busy week so we can't complain too much. The Japanese hibachi was a bust due to the fact that they told us the wrong time for the reservation and when we arrived they told us we could no longer participate (even though there were empty chairs!) not very impressed at all. The other issue we had was that we were thinking of staying an extra night at the beginning of our stay so I went to the front desk and inquired about the cost. They told me they couldn't tell me then and would call our room and leave a message. The next day there was no call so I returned again and asked and they told me the same thing so we waited AGAIN. The next day guess what? Yes no call, so I went to the desk and asked the manager what the deal was and I was told there was no availability. I then asked what the cost would be if a room did become available and he quoted me a price per night that was $300 per night higher than what we paid! I asked if I could go online and look for a better price and he told me that there would be no availability due to the fact they are at full capacity. At this point I gave up due to the fact they didn't want any more business. Curiously i did go online and check and there were rooms available at a much lower cost. The whole thing left me with little desire to stay another night Last thing but not a big deal. Our kids are 10&12 and there were not that many other kids around. Not a big deal for a few days but might be an issue if staying longer. Overall we would not go back. Not a bad place but it is not the top end service they like to sell themselves as having.

We were here a yr ago, it is still great. Food, drink, staff and room are excellent. This is a place for the traveller who enjoys the good things in life, not stuffy over the top, just excellent quality. Notice I said traveller not the tourist, don't go expecting "cruise like" activites or crowds, go elsewhere. Stay here for the quality, laidback good times. I'm sure further into the summer it gets a little more crazy, but making new friends while hanging out at the pool and bar, this is the place. Service staff very friendly remembering us from last year. We took a few excursions, which were very good if you want to take the time. Masssage excellent, gym hrs should be extended 6 to early to close. Our sons ages 21 & 24 love this place so much we came back two yrs in a row.
