Unfortunately, this is the first time in 30 years staying at Royal resorts that it was just average. The food wasn’t great and they never kept the buffet stocked. We were told to make reservations for the nicer restaurants a day ahead, I tried reserving two days ahead, and there was no availability. I reached out to our concierge and she said she would look and get back to us and I didn’t hear back from her for the rest of the trip. I’m wondering if this is because Holiday Inn Vacation Club bought them out. 😞

Great service, tasty food and very clean. Great experience overall. The beach is pretty bad but not the hotels fault, they really try their best to clean it up. The only thing that I recommend is working more in their night entertainment, especially for kids.

There is no nightlife at this resort. By 10 pm everything is practically shut down. The food is just ok. The Kinoko had the best food on the resort. Several of us got sick (vomiting and diarrhea) after about 2 days of eating and drinking on the resort, the kids too. There were a bunch of tiny ants in the kitchen and bathrooms of our units. The beach is eroding and very rocky.

There were ants in the kitchen and bathrooms. 5 out of the 8 people in our group got super sick (vomiting and diarrhea). It kind of ruined our vacation. They need to improve their sanitation and water filtration systems before I would ever consider coming back. There is absolutely no nightlife at this resort.

The hotel was amazing, the grounds are very well kept. The staff is wonderful. It was hard to get into the restaurants but the food at the buffet was pretty good. Watch out for the timeshare push when you arrive. All in all would recommend this resort.
