The staff at the pool bar were a bit rude. Seemed irritated when asking for drinks. The DJ on 7/17/2025 at the resort club also rude. Asked him to please put the birthday song that night- looked at me and said ill think about it and never did . As a tourist ppl travel for different reasons and celebrations , i was not asking for something impossible.

Everything was great. Loved the different activities they had for the whole family. They could include snacks in the room besides drinks. Also, the hotel should have more security guards outside disco area to help/assist drunk girls that seem to be alone.

Love everything about this place. Fell in love with the villas very beautiful. Restaurants were excellent specially the black cow. The one thing i did not like is that they did not provide toiletries ive stayed at other RIU hotels and they would provide it, other than that everything was excellent.

This all inclusive hotel was beautiful. We loved our stay here. The staff were helpful and friendly. Made us feel welcomed. The daily buffet had lots of good options to eat. There is truly something for everyone to eat...even the pickiest of eaters. Lol. We loved that this hotel was so close to the beach and souvineer shops. The hotel has people to offer excursion events. The pools were nice and beautiful. With staff available to bring you drinks. The evening fun events were so fun. Like the Riu party. The rooms are nice and loved that are fridge was always sticked with drinks (water,beer,soda).We had such a great stay. We cant wait to come back. The only thing that was disappointing at this hotel was there were no little bottles of lotion, soap bars, makeup removal wipes etc. Like most hotels now a days provide.

Riu Tequila was a blast. We had so much fun attending the parties and evening shows. Ae ended each night at the disco which played music for everyone. The restaurants had good food and had minimal wait times. The beach is about a 7 minute walk but it is a beautiful walk under a conopy of lush tropical trees. We'll definitely go back.

Pros: -Beach club was fantastic -Grounds well kept -Food was good -Wildlife was wonderful -Convenient location Cons: -Detail cleaning in the room could have been better. -some room maintenance, our door had been broken and one hinge not attached and not properly repaired for example - the pools were square and uninspiring though well used. There was a free-form pool at Yucatan which was nicer and available to Tequila guests. - the Rui app was poor- stopped using it during visit. Boards in lobby were better - difficult to tell where activities were being held - requests through the app did not get response - evening entertainment was hit and miss - for a resort which catered to so many families, a shaded playground would have been a real plus I have stayed at several 5 star resorts in the Mayan Riviera. Hands down, best beach, shaded areas and availability of beach chairs. Would I return? Definitely. Good value, beautiful setting, good food, nice staff, good value.
