Everything is amazing except for the beach. This is a pool focused resort. We were surprised that the food was exceptional for an all inclusive. Lots of fun for kids and really catered toward children and families.

Unfortunately, our stay was terrible from the very first day we arrived until the day we left. Customer service was extremely disappointing and inconsistent across the resort. We were given misleading information, had difficulty getting help by phone, and experienced poor communication throughout our stay. The resort did not live up to how it is advertised. Basic requests were ignored or handled poorly, and when issues were brought up, there was little to no accountability or effort to resolve them. For a resort that markets itself as a luxury all-inclusive experience, the level of service was far below expectations. Overall, this was a frustrating and disappointing experience, and we would not recommend this resort based on our stay.

The resort is great, staff is great, the food is good for Mexican standards (as usual the "a la carte restaurants are below average, but the buffet and pez vela are cool). The pools are nice and the water slides cool, it's also a good beach, even if the gulf isn't the best for beaches compared to other areas. The rooms are clean and renovated, so it's not bad. Privilege rooms also have the jacuzzi on the balcony. I won't give it 5 stars however because the doors soundproofing in the rooms is what you would expect from a motel where you can pay your stay in meth. When kids decide to do a karaoke at 1 am, it feels like they are in front of your bed, then the next morning when parents decide it's a good idea to have their toddlers play tag at 7 am in the corridors, again, you hear everything in 3D. And when your karaoke kids neighbors leave and get replaced by teenagers who speak as loud as if they were riding a black hawk helicopter, while doing their best impression of Chewbacca using the room chairs at 2am, you feel like part of the gang again. The other thing is that zero rooms have 2 Queen beds, and you can't consider the convertible like a bed, to be honest. It'd be good to have the option for 2 Queens. Otherwise it's a great resort. Can't go wrong. Just prepare muscle relaxant and shooting range grade earplugs to sleep properly.

Service is exceptional everywhere… pools, buffet, restaurants, rooms. The New Years Eve celebration was above and beyond. The buffet, decorations, band/DJ and the fireworks were an unexpected surprise. Daniel at the Japanese restaurant is an entertainer and excellent chef. It is worth the wait to get a table. Angelica at the reservation desk is patient and kind with everyone. Let her know you are a Expedia guest and she will look after all your dinner reservations. The coati are friendly little guys but are true scavengers. I would not want a first floor room by the kids pool. A few other favourites.. the brisket at Route 66, the meat platter for 2-4 at the steakhouse, the foam party and the Silent Disco.

The staff were courteous. However, the resort was over crowded. Reservations for dinner opened at 8:30am and by 8:31 they were all full. It was stressful to not have dinner reservations while on vacation. There were no lounge chairs available on the beach or the pools so may guests just had towels laid out on the sand. There were long waits for everything. 20 min wait for a coffee at the cafe at all times of day. Lineups for buffet, line ups for the lunch restaurant and long waits for food at Pez Vela. The food was only ok. Wasn’t definitely not a 5 star experience. Kids club staff was excellent.

Room was good size. Service was so so and usually slow. At times staff seemed to not enjoy being there. If you are a vegetarian or vegan the options were limited to none and nothing was marked properly at the buffet. All inclusive was not really true as they do charge you for premium beer and drinks at some of the acrual restaurants. Long lines for Mike's coffee. Food was often cold by the time it reached to the table.

The hotel premises were great, and one of the best parts of our stay was having a first-floor pool-view room. The mini patio with direct access to the pool was a huge plus and definitely added a lot of points to the experience. That said, the rest of the experience was mixed. Although the hotel advertises having 11 restaurants, we traveled as a large group and barely managed to have a meal together. At one point, we were required to pay for at least two bottles of wine just to be allowed to eat together at the buffet, which felt excessive and unnecessary. The buffet food itself was good, but during our entire week we weren’t able to eat at any of the other restaurants, which was disappointing. The staff was average overall. There were one or two employees who were truly adorable and stood out in a positive way, but most of the service was nothing special. Amenities were great, and overall we still had a good time. The room itself was good, but the sofa bed was honestly the worst part of the stay. It was extremely uncomfortable I felt guilty having my kids sleep on it. There’s no way an adult or teenager could sleep there comfortably; it’s only suitable for small kids. Overall, I’d rate this hotel a 6.5 out of 10. It offers good value for the price, but there’s definitely room for improvement.

Pros: the resort was really well kept and clean. Staff was friendly. Maria who was a server at the beach pool was the best! Location was good. The monkeys at the resort were magical to watch. Trolley that takes you the beach was a great feature. Kids loved the ice cream store. Cons: EXTREMELY difficult to get a reservation for dinner at a time before 9PM. You need to log into the app at exactly 0830am to make the reservation and even then most are gone. Was only able to get one reservation for the 7 days we were there. Spoke with the concierge about this and they told us there was nothing they could do to help. The Coatis were so aggressive. Not in a mean way but wouldn't leave you alone. You crawl on your legs and watched one jump on a lady to grab her bag of pastries. Jumped on my child to get this sucker. Have been to 8+ other resorts in Mexico and have never seen them like this. Says it's a water park but it's really a water treehouse for smalls kids under 6. My 7 and 8 year old still played there but the slides were very slow and made for littles. We had a good time but would not rebook at this location. Bath tub in room didn't have hot water. Tried several times throughout the trip but it never worked. AC is room also seems to kick off around midnihht and the room got extremely warm.

Our trip was amazing. We had a wonderful time with our family. The resort is beautiful and clean and the staff were all very friendly and accommodating. Restaurants were all great. Lots of pools. Lots of food options. Lots of kid friendly activities. The only things that we didn’t love was the chair saving at the pool down by the beach was a little crazy. By 8 am all the chairs are covered with towels there isn’t anyone around. But we have been to other resorts that are the same way. Would highly recommend this resort especially with families.
