Food was average, had to make reservations to any of the restaurants that were not buffets and was nearly impossible to get a reservation. Room set up was halfway done no hand towels, floor mat, 2 tissues in box. If you’re looking for just hanging by the pool at a good price then this is the place. If looking for more of an experience I would suggest one of the other xcaret hotels. Check in was extremely slow waited for over an hour in a line to get checked in. You have to schedule your own transportation from the airport to hotel but was easy to get a cab outside the hotel to go into town.

We LOVED the resort. The pools were awesome food beverages all inclusive was pretty good. The stuff was amazing. The rooms could’ve been a little better. Better beds and bathrooms.

Property is beautiful and the grounds are well maintained. The food was terrible. The ala cart was mediocre at best. The air conditioning was struggling and the room was warm to hot most of the week. The resort lost power a couple id times. This resort is marketed as a 4 star resort. In my opinion it may have been a 4 star in the past but my experience was closer to a 2. Would not recommend.

It was ok going through Expedia but you are treating like a third person the hotel will not take care of any problems because you went thur Expedia we had problem from from the get go everything with Expedia the hotel has nothing to do with it the food was ok nothing to write home about the staff I mean the worker who bust there butt for you they were great we had a blackout the day before we left I would rate the whole trip a 5. But the people a 10 this will be the last time I book anything from you guys the run around you gave me was crazy I talk to 3-4 people and no one gave me an answer to my problem I was taught customer first not in this case I also had one supervise tell me that everything that was recorded was delete but aren't you suppose to keep all recording like you say in the begin of all phone conversations this call is being recorded bad business on your part thank you have a great day

The outside was pretty. Lots of animals. Rooms were old and had smell. I was smoked to another room which had a band aid on the pillow as I went to lay down. So the staff are not cleaning. My first room had no towels. You have to buy your own conditioner. Restaurants- they tell you to reserve when you get there but you can only reserve two. The rest I was told I could not use only the buffet. Until or second to last sat I found out by another staff we could eat without reservations at the pizza one and pacos tacos.

Grounds were beautiful with lush green vegetation, animals roaming (monkeys, deer, birds, lizards), ruins, large pools, small beach. Dinning options were good at a la carte restaurants. We made reservations as soon as we arrived and were able to dine at Hacienda, Steak house, Los Olivos and Oriental restaurant. We all enjoyed pur meals there. Our family enjoyed the pizza at la Piazza and tacos at Pacos Tacos. It is convinient to Xcaret park, about 3 minute walk, 2 different entrances (one in the El Rio shops and the other near the Beach Club buffet) We enjoyed breakfast and lunch at Beach club because you can see beach and ocean from there. Staff is friendly. Bring dollars for tipping. Drinks were ok. We did not enjoy lack of fresh juices for mimosas and some mixed drinks, so we drank wine and beer instead. Overall this was a great hotel for our family of 4, ( 10 yr old and 16 yr old kids).
