The complex overall was very beautiful however, when we first arrived, the check-in service was very poor no signage they wouldn’t allow you to keep your car out front while you were checking in and then we had to go to another building to actually do the check-in which took about an hour the complex was so large and they had very few or poorly communicated signs to find your way around. It was easy to get lost and to get from one point to another point they had a shuttle, but only one and it would take 30 minutes to come by. they had many pools. The water was great. The amenities of the pool was great however, you had to have a card to get a towel but if you didn’t turn your towel in before six, you wouldn’t get your card back and you’d be charged for the towel finally constant pressure to buy a timeshare or spend your vacation touring and listening to them promote itself the hotel timeshare. It was annoying.
Upon arriving we were greeted and welcomed to the hotel. Checking in was easy, we booked all inclusive however that doesn’t mean access to the park, that’s a separate fee, as well as the specialty restaurants which we booked 4 days and 3 nights and could only go to dinner once at the specialty restaurant. Our room was to be 2 queens with a pull out sofa in a Junior Suite. We got a King bed with a broken pull out sofa in a Junior Suite. They provided 2 roll away beds for no additional cost for the inconvenience. The room was hot, the air conditioning worked when it wanted to, there’s no visible elevators and lots of stairs. The food was average. We enjoyed all the animals on the property, didn’t see the monkeys sadly. They offered us a vacation package to book through them directly which makes us members and the rooms are much nicer, you get your own check in and out lounge as well as better accommodations and areas throughout the property. We declined and was disappointed because those rooms were way better kept than what we paid to stay in. The stores close at 10:30 which also wasn’t convenient with kiddos who always want late night snacks. The pool was nice and they had activities daily for the kids. The beach was great! We really enjoyed the MJ show on Saturday night. Staff were helpful and kind. We didn’t love it but you get what you pay for.
Rooms not well maintained ie. damaged doors and non closing bathroom doors missing door handles, very crowded at the beach not enough seating, always children in the adults only sections wait times for food incredibly high even when you have booked reservations. Food sub par very bland.
Very lovely resort first day we arrived the room wasent cleaned well but room service was done everyday and it got better. Depending on what building your in you will do some walking as the resort is pretty big,but overall it was a great experience
I didn’t like that we asked maintenance to fixed our patio door that didn’t lock and they never came. Also my daughters room their safe was locked so they hey could not open and use.
Everyone was very friendly (staff) and they were very patient with you. I was well informed about my amenities and they were also available when you wanted to book excursions. The food was also good, their fish was fresh and tasty. Overall I had a blast and can’t wait to go back again.
The grounds and wildlife were very nice but be prepared to do some walking. The vacation club reps are a on a hard sell routine thoughout stay.
However the restaurants need updating and the rooms were small and also outdated. There was only one very uncomfortable chair in the room leaving nowhere else to sit but the bed.
They offer an upgrade for a concierge but there in no true concierge service. Save on your money on that!
We are not picky eaters but did have difficulty finding decent food even in the specialty restaurants. A culinary tip......hotdogs ARE NOT breakfast sausages. Sub-par food quality.
Lunch was pretty good in the Snack Shack and so was Paco Taco and the pizza place.
Overall it was a dispointing stay and would not recommend to my friends.
Property was beautiful! We stayed in building 22 and the staff there was amazing.
I did put a request for 2 queen beds, and we were given 1 king and one of us had to sleep on a cot. I suggest you call the property before hand to make sure you can get 2 queen beds.
The buffets were not the best, but the restaurants were good.
I did wish there were more places to get a snack that were not a sit down buffet.
Still would go back, such a relaxing 3 days!
