Would’ve been a 5 star if the area was better. There was a random smell of sewage (probably due to the excessive rains the week prior as there was water laying in the roads in some areas). People were great but beware of the upselling when you first arrive.

Don’t go to this place if you are a beach person, because there is very minimal beach to be. The resort itself is nice and quaint. There is one main pool. A small pool up by the sushi restaurant on 3rd level. The staff is wonderful at this resort. We had water coming through our bathroom ceilings, and they acted very quickly to fix the issue. The only complaint I have is we have booked at other adults only resorts in the past and we pay a premium cost for it, but this resort wanted an extra 89$ per person, per day if you ask for any premium alcohol. I wish we would have known this up front. We didn’t purchase it, and we still had a good time.

Wyndham has been busy in restoring the beach area as when we were there 2 years ago, the beach just outside the boundary of the main pool was non-existent. There are now loungers in the area where water used to be. Same with the ground level suites that face the ocean - you might not be access the beach still but at least water is not lapping at the balcony door. The hotel has implemented a rule regarding placing the hotel towels and personal items to reserve loungers by the main pool and pool by Off the Hook; unfortunately, occasionally staff will remove the items after an hour. It is sad that some patrons do not like to follow the rule as everyone should have opportunity to relax by the pool. Jorge, pool and bar manager informed me that towel/reservations is a work in progress. The Wyndham front line staff including management are welcoming (Alexandro) and are willing to help out with reasonable requests. The food at the resort are superb. The buffet have variety so one never gets bored of having the same food though I can never get enough of taco chips/salsa/habanero. Thanks to Eduardo and Hector for introducing me to the lovely hot sauces. Sebastian, thank you for remembering my pot of decaf coffee with hot leche (milk) in the morning. Suggestions: please reinstate small bills for exchanging for large bills and bring back my popcorn.

The food was ok. Not enough flavor. The pool bar and sushi bar close kind of early to me for it to be adults only. We like our view and room Need more activities maybe karaoke night.
