Overpriced for the quality of food they offer, lack of access to the beach, limited hours to access the pool/food and overall the hotel starts simmering down and cutting activities around 8:30 pm.

Lovely and close to the centre of Playa del Carmen. The staff was great - and the rooms are nice. The pool area is quite noisy - with loud music playing for much of the day... which was a big downside for us. And the beach is basically non-existent.

Such a beautiful resort filled with amazing staff members who go above and beyond. The pool is great ans its walking distances from so many hiding gens! Def would recommended this spot. It doesn't have a private beach but its walking distances to multiple public beaches

Had a lovely one week stay at Wyndham in March 2025. This resort is really good for the mid-range price. Pros: - Best food I've had at an AI and honestly many restaurants I've been to. Even the buffet food was amazing. - 1 block away from Quinta so easy access to the town, food, shopping, nightlife, etc., but far enough away that you can't hear it all night. - Resort is clean and kept-up - Staff are friendly for the most part - Lots of areas to sit and rest or join the fun depending on your preference - We walked from ADO on Quinta and was an easy 15 minute walk to the hotel Cons: - Resort is a bit outdated and some of the wear and tear is showing - Beach is small and rocky on the very edge of the hotel - Seaweed piles up on the shore beside the beach and can smell if left in the sun - Guests get limited number of water bottles and can only receive 4 extra from room service. We did not get our allotted amount during house cleaning one day and staff still would only give us 4 as a "refill" - Octopus from Brasas gave mild food poisoning to our guest and another we spoke to. Resort is overall pretty good and would recommend for people wanting to stay at a budget-friendly AI

One thing I didn’t love was that it smelled AWFUL until about 11:30 everyday. But it was a great trip! The buffet was great, italian was great. Zarape (Mexican) and Brasas (grill) were both awful. The bars were so fun, and the little beach bar was adorable. The beach at night wasn’t super secure but during the day the security did a good job for the most part from deflecting tourists scams. I didn’t love that everywhere I went it seemed like they were trying to get me to buy an extra package, and the spa people harassed me pretty aggressively, but again. I survived. Overall, I would totally stay again!

We have stayed at this location 3 times now. It is the perfect size, the food is excellent at the restaurants and it is a very short walk to 5th Avenue. You could take part in any of the activities that they having going on all day or just relax in the sun! You really cant go wrong here.

Location was excellent. Convenient to 5th street with excellent options and experiences. Through no fault of the property the beach is non-existent . North beach is very nice, had to walk north to enter water due to shoreline rocky conditions.

Our room with oceanfront views was peaceful, beautiful and spectacular. The food is good, the staff is helpful. There is a quiet part of the hotel near the beach and ocean, the pool is more of a party atmosphere - so it has whatever you prefer. The registration desk was our only complaint. They lack any sense of urgency for getting you checked in. Overall, we had a wonderful stay and would consider a return.

The staff are all extremely kind and good at their jobs. The dining options in the resort are solid, and the food within each restaurant/ the buffet beat my expectations. Room service was prompt, gym was decent, and the pools and hot tub were very nice. I felt like the hotel played above my expectations. Also, as someone with severe food allergies, I felt well taken care of here. Every meal I was asked if I had allergies and was able to speak to a chef or waiter who could assist in making sure my meals were safe for me. Shoutout to Luis and Humberto!

Amazing resort, pushy timeshare people

We had a wonderful time. Everything was amazing. Great food. Kind, caring and superb staff. Beautiful clean modern rooms (love the remodel from when we were there 8 years ago) Cant say enough good about the service, staff and food, as well as entertainment. Our only complaint would be that of Kathleen with the timeshare or as she says "membership". She is a liar and she is much too pushy. She does not know what NO means. We told her on day 1, No! we do not want anything to do with it but yet she continued to follow us around and harass us trying to get us to go sit through this timeshare presentation. She would hang near us at the entrance and ask where we were going while waiting for a taxi as well as ask when we would be back. I finally had to get stern with her and tell her it was none of her business. She bugged us about 4 different days of the 6 we were there. That is a total turn off. Get rid of the pushy timeshare people and we will most definitely be back.

The resort is very nice - not too large - nice pool area - decent entertainment. 1 block from shopping/restaurants in Playa Del Carmen which we loved. Only negative is the picture show a beach and we believe it was eroded from hurricane damage - is a beach at the far end of the resort. Staff was very kind and accommodating and friendly. Our room was ocean front - highly recommend that upgrade.
