Hotel Belo is a nice, modern hotel however it is a lot different than what we were used to while staying on the mainland in Cancun. It is very small and quiet. There were not many guests, but the resort still seemed short staffed and there was usually only one bartender. There was also a huge language barrier more so than any other resort I’ve visited and not many workers understood English well. There is no nightlife entertainment or special events to entertain guests. There is no spa, however they will provide massages on the beach or come directly to your room. The food was amazing (best I’ve had at any Mexican resort), however there is only one restaurant and it had the same menu everyday. They would not serve food at the poolside. We also enjoyed the fact the restaurant did not have a dress code (my boyfriend does not like to have to wear dress pants like most resorts require when it’s so hot out). We enjoyed renting a golf cart directly from the front desk and got to explore the island. Even though we wore all inclusive bracelets, they still made us sign for every order which got annoying. They would track us down if we left to make us sign our “check”. Upon check in, they give you each one “towel card” and if you want a towel, you have to present your towel card to the front desk and must return the towel to get your towel card back, otherwise it’s $20 USD. The rooms are decent but the showers leak badly into the rest of the bathroom floor.

Service was excellent.

Hotel and hotel staff were great. Room service staff were slow and inaccurate. Ordered coffee with cream up to the room. Both times forgot the cream and took 45 minutes. By the time they came back in another 15 minutes with the cream, coffee’s cold. All in all it takes like an hour and 20 minutes to just have a cup of coffee in the morning. Another time at night I order something and they tell me 20 minutes. It took 50

They only have one restaurant that served the same food every day. There was no room service and nothing to snack on... if you wanted just chips or nachos then you were out of luck. Also everything closed at 11 so you couldn’t eat or drink after that except Saturdays they stayed open a little later. Also the covid test was $60 per person! And we paid for a golf cart for the day but they didn’t keep any record of that so we had to argue with the golf cart company bc they wanted to charge us for it. Also one day they told us we couldn’t go on the top floor bc it was rented out but we paid to stay there so that didn’t make sense. We would never go Back.

Service service service. It was obvious from the very beginning that the staff here is a well oiled machine. They all showed sincere interest in our well being. I'm not sure if it was a result of the end of their Covid slow down or if they are always like this, but either case it was delightful to see that kind of attention and dedication. The property was clean, and very pretty. The view from the rooftop infinity pool is beautiful! This is a small hotel, but has pretty much everything you need. It's also perfectly located on the island. Out of the crazy uptown area and close enough to the lower end. One thing I would have liked to see is more games type amenities like volleyball, ring toss, or cornhole. The beach has great sand and it's a beautiful place to watch the sunset on one of the docks. Overall a great hotel. I would definitely stay here again.

Disclaimer: I’m not a resort person. The hotel is nice but the shared areas could have been kept cleaner. On different days I saw Cups, limes, and mask in the pool. I have no complaints about the service staff and special shout-out to Erwin! I live in NY and was trying to get a break to a warm place and chill by the ocean. You can never hear the waves because there is constant music on the ground floor and roof top, often conflicting with each other. It seems they are setting up for a vegas day party vibe which I’m too old for. The beach area is small and very busy with boats doing tour stuff next door and a yacht club. There were also multiple families with kids so the pool wasn’t always chill either. Getting to Isla is a long trip with plane taxi ferry taxi so I really just wanted to relax. My thinking was it would be more chill further away from mainland. Wrong! It would have been nice if the hotel threw in the ride from the ferry (which is a golf cart ride) especially If you are coming from the US. the hotel is kind enough to set up Covid test before you leave but they don’t say how much. We paid US $60 each. Overall I’d recommend to people who want a curated experience. Not the best place to read, relax and clear your head.

Most of the food was bad. Took a while to figure out the few things I liked. The staff doesn't seem like they communicate well. You tell one what you desire and how you like your food and... It just doesn't get done. So, even though we bought the all inclusive package, we ended up eating out. We had to ask 3 and 4 times to get water before it finally came ... And that is with the same waiter or waitress returning to the table multiple times and asking is if we want anything else. The only edible bread they had was the Baguette. But of course, upon asking specifically for those, they was the ones they gave the least of, like they were gold and we were abusing the privilege. There's a place called the Ice bar right next door. That's the public beach area. The food there was fantastic. $15 you get a buffet and two drinks. Way way better!

Omg amazing! Best secret in Mexico! The food, the rooms, the staff, amazing amazing amazing!

Roof top pool bar. Drinks , food , services hot tubs rooms

This was a amazing property once again.. friendly helpful staff.

Cleanliness of rooms and facilities employees were professional.

Hotel was very clean and new. What we didn’t like was the shower completely soaking the floor outside the shower causing us to step out onto wet soaking towels we had to put down to help try to stop the water from leaking out. We had a room that was adjoined to another room and we could hear everything they were saying in the next room so that meant they heard everything we were saying. Problem was at the bottom of the door connecting the rooms was about a 1 inch gap between the door and the floor. There obviously should have been a door sweep attached to both sides of the door. To make things worse at night the light from their room next door shined into our room!

This was a beautiful property, excellent staff, and excellent accommodations!

Hands down the best hotel stay ever!!! Even with everything going on with Covid-19, the hotel and staff made our party of 9 very satisfied guests feel safe. From the minute we arrived to the last second we left, it was the best stay we’ve ever had. hotel staff alll wear masks and were constantly disinfecting and keeping everything clean and pristine. From Carlos and his crew at “The Top” bar to Caru, Amelia, and Franscica (Top Dancers), to Moni, Romero and all the waiters and waitresses at the hotel restaurant we had the best Covid Get-Away anyone could ask for. TIP BIG 💴 💴 💴, we did and they deserved it. Our rooms were super clean and you smell the sanitizer the minute you walked in and and each cleaning!!! To say, this is the best hotel stay ever, would truly be an understatement. Since I fortunately speak Spanish, I was able to speak to all the staff we came upon and we heard the same positive notes from all of them about how good the hotel owners have treated them even when the hotel was closed for Covid. The lengths that Hotel Belo is going to in regards to Covid is also very amazing. They are truly going above and beyond to make sure that their employees do not contract and bring Covid to the hotel and it’s guests. I am truly appreciative of all the precautions that Hotel Belo has instituted to make your stay feel as comfortable as humanly possible, especially during the pandemic. We bought the all inclusive stay which included top notch food and top shelf liquor.

The property was beautifully laid out, with a nice flow from the street, to reception, to the pool and then the beach and water beyond. The property was very clean, with at least 1 but usually 2 or more people seen cleaning common areas at all times. The staff wore masks, inside and out. The staff were polite and helpful. The room and furnishings were nice. The pool had different sections (shallow, deep, jets) as well as a swim up bar. There were also two hot tubs, which were cleaned daily. The sand was beautiful and the view of the dock at sunset was as well. The beds on the beach were shaded and we were able to get drink service there, as well as poolside under the adjustable umbrellas. Idalmar was particularly helpful and extremely busy, going back and forth between the bar and the pool and beach areas. The food selection was good, except there weren't as many Mexican food options as I would have liked. There were ceviche and (limited) taco options at lunch at the outdoor restaurant, but the dinner menu was a bit heavy and some of the dinner items underseasoned. The desserts (when we finally had room for them on our last night) were delicious - get the churros, if only for the presentation! We rented a golf cart and drove around the island. Overall it was a great stay and I highly recommend Hotel Belo Isla Mujeres.

The hotel is beautiful..loved the rooftop pool the most. But the ultimate thing we did love the most was the staff! They went out all out in taking care of us. Since going thru a pandemic and almost being the only ones there they never slacked off on the service..the did the most for us. So thank you! And let me add as well very clean hotel too..staff were cleaning away nonstop.

Well I booked it as a all inclusive and I received a email from the hotel saying that it wasn’t included, when I arrival at the hotel my hotel room was not upgraded to a matrimonial room because of the misunderstanding from the website and from the manager ms.domingo promised us. I was offer a free romantic dinner in which I end up paying for the full price. Hotel management is terrible but their workers and staff members are great. But terrible management is very poor. And 1 day I was at the rooftop pool and they had a higher price for the food and drinks.
