I was close to the lake but the conditions of the hotel is not what it looks on the photos, so if you booking a room might as well do it for a night.

Worst “hotel” I’ve stayed in my life. Only reason I let my family sleep here was because it was too late to get a room anywhere else when we arrived to Bacalar and I already had a reservation here thanks to their false advertisement. Rooms are filthy, there was no receptionist when we arrived, security guard helped us get a room that was already paid. The pool was green and full of algae.

This hotel Was a great stay, the room super spacious and right at the Laguna, the staff hook us up With a great day at the lagoon in a pontoon, the guide was great and the price excellent!, I love the stay

Xo hotel was wonderful, we stayed 4 nights and everyday our room was clean , breakfast was provided. Tours were offered as well, staff was helpful and friendly. The best part was the lagoon was just steps away. Recommend highly, will be visiting Xo hotel again.

The place was nice over all and the small section they have in front of the lake is nice and very convenient. They do have a restaurant on the property but we did not try it since we went into town to eat.

We had a great time! If you’re looking for a 5 start resort - this isn’t it. But if you’re looking for a quiet place to stay with your kids that offers an all inclusive option, this is it. The food and service was great. It’s a little far from town, but you can walk there. The pool and waterfront was very nice. The only downside is that the rooms need to be deep cleaned and renovated. There is a bit of mildew on the walls and the bathrooms smell a bit. Overall - a good stay! I would recommend the pontoon boat tour of the lake. We had a lot of fun!

The hotel has a beautiful view of the Bacalar Lake, which was amazing. Also, you can swim into the lake, when the tide is slow. The worst part, the hotel doesn't have Wi-Fi service, food service in the restaurant all day and sometimes, doesn't have hot water for take a shower.

The hotel denied our reservation made through expedia. My family and I had to find another hotel. Later we met 2 people that told us that this hotel has done the same to others.

A lot of construction. The wifi doesn't work and the cable didn't either. The staff was really really nice. The hotel doesn't look like the pictures.

This property was terrible. Its was like friday the 13th situation. We cancelled our stay with expedia and explained we were afraid to discuss with hotel staff and left the property. It was too dangerous for the kids and there was a lot of construction going on. With Covid restrictions and all this location was a dump and there was no cleanliness. Im now having to fight for a refund and they are refusing to return it. Expedia should not have them on their list of places to stay. The pictures are deceiving.

Amazing place

I loved staying at XO Bacalar. Very eco friendly and right next to the lake. It is a place for people looking to experience nature and the simple life. If you are looking for a glamorous place this is not your place, but if you are looking for great places that care about you an the environment, stay there. Customer service is amazing.
