Does it have a theatre

Overall we had a nice trip at Catalonia. Let’s keep this short and to the point. The resort is like a boutique resort as it is smaller. Has a jungle feel to it. The beach is very nice but it was seaweed season when we went in May and the beach was completely covered in it so bad that you couldn’t even go in the water. The pool area is very nice. The staff is amazing and super friendly. The only downside to Catalonia is that the food isn’t very good (5/10). Most things don’t have very much flavor and just taste bland. The only restaurant on the resort we REALLY liked was the Grill right at the front. This meal was fantastic but everything else was ehhhh. The drinks are what you can expect at an all inclusive, cheap well drinks. There is a ton of wildlife on the resort which is pretty awesome.

Guys, we stayed for one week, from December 3rd to December 10th 2020. The beach is amazing, sand is all over, ocean is phenomenal. Definitely do upgrade to a Premium package, it gives you an opportunity to eat an Bloved restaurant, take it! Staff is very good. The road from the lobby to the ocean goes through the jungles, absolutely amazing! One minus, there is no evening entertainment. But we will definitely come back there again! Thank you

It is on the best beach on the Riviera Maya. I have witnessed two Corona Beer photo shoots on the beach just down from the resort. I would have rated amenities higher but many were unavailable due to Covid. Nothing the resort could do about that.

There is really only one reason to stay at this property - The beach. The beach is beautiful and hard to compare to anywhere else in cancun/playacar. I want to preface this by saying that I don’t like writing negative reviews. However, I feel like people need to be warned before choosing this hotel. Before I stayed here, like most people, I read reviews. I saw a lot of people complaining about food. I suspected this was people being picky/overdramatic. I was very wrong. The buffets at this property are not clean, have very few options, and the food either looks entirely unappetizing, or tastes bad. Both me and my partner got sick the one time we ate at the buffets, and it took away the back half of our trip. The only food that is good is at the BLoved restaurant, the Mexican restaurant, and the Asian restaurant. For example, at the grill, the steak was only seared on one side, and didn’t have any salt or pepper on it. The staff is friendly and kind, but I could tell others around us felt the same way about the food. I even heard others whispering about how the had gotten sick from the buffets. In my opinion, you are better off spending an extra couple hundred dollars and choosing another resort. If you want the beach, choose another hotel near Tulúm/Akumal.

Property was nice. Food was below average. Drinks were average.

The staff was excellent. Food was great. Property grounds beautiful. What we didn’t like so much was the set up of the beach restaurants (beloved, grill and sorento). Your eating and people are laying out, that obstructs your view of the ocean . Very clustered. Very busy . You can hear pool party music from spa treatment area. Great resort for people looking to mingle and be entertained. My husband and I prefer more quieter resorts for relaxing. The beach was well maintained at all times. Housekeeping was just amazing. They were in n out. room always cleaned and mini fridge stocked.

Beautiful property! Beach was clean. The staff works very hard to remove the seaweed from the shore line. Our room was nice and clean. Food was good. Lots of food choices. The staff was extremely friendly and always willing to help. We had a great time. Would definitely come back!

We find that it is like going home to our frends and loved ones the beauty and tranquility of the resort is wonderful.The staff are all top shelf no matter which department they are in they combine to make your stay one that you do not want to come to an end.We will look forward to coming back for as long as we are able.

We like everything about it the service , food the hold concept of the hotel very tropical very happy ! Thank u for making us feel so special .

We really would have liked the contribution not to be signed anonymously, it certainly limits us in identifying you and in our search for some reporting and follow-up. On the other hand, when a guest declares to feel sick, we assist in contacting the medical insurance, first to receive a consultation and medication, secondly, to have an official diagnosis and detect what could have caused this; based on past experiences, we have to take into account food consumed before the stay, new condiments, combinations with alcohol - sun - medication, food consumed outside the hotel and many other things, we understand that it is usually pointed out to the hotel because it is where the most time is spent but it is always better if there is an official diagnosis.
