Overall, the property is beautiful. There are definitely more pros than cons but the check-in experience did leave a bad first impression. The staff member checking us in tried to convince us that our package didn’t include access to many of the resort’s restaurants, bars or pools and we needed to upgrade for an extra $500. We were upset but decided to stay & not upgrade. Turned out most of the areas were included in our package. What redeemed our stay was the genuine care and effort from the staff throughout the resort. They frequently checked in, asked for feedback, and truly seemed to care about our experience. If management improves the check-in process, room climate control, and food quality, this resort has the potential to be a real gem. Pros Most of the staff went above and beyond to make things right. The resort is spacious with a wide variety of restaurants. The room was clean, the bed was comfortable, housekeeping was consistent, and loved the hot water kettle in the room. The buffet’s food made to order stations. Nightly entertainment was lively and enjoyable. Cons All sodas were flat. Served from a 2-litter bottle. Most buffet food was cold or stale, except for the made to order stations and fruit. The room was warm. Their air conditioning was weak and inconsistent. Hot water and water pressure were unreliable throughout our stay. No on-site coffee

We went here for the 4th or 5th time. I can’t remember at this point, but it is always the most relaxing, professional, clean, friendly resort. This is a staple in our vacation options. Ruby was the best butler( still hate saying that word) We had her before a few years ago and told management and they actually went and found her to service us for our honeymoon. Ten stars!!!!!They went above and beyond to make our honeymoon so special. It literally gets better every time we go.

The resort itself is beautiful and the staff is super friendly. Unfortunately we paid $410 extra to upgrade to club level at check-in but the room given to us was dirty: trash not taken out, a used beach bag, dirty, crumpled, and stained comforter, used bathroom/shower amenities. One of the double sinks had mold collecting on the base and the other had a leak. Our valet never passed by until we called three times the following day. The hot tub and outdoor lights were also out of order and we had to call for service. The morning room service previously scheduled for 9am via valet didn’t arrive and we had to place the order ourselves with the kitchen and had it delivered at 11am (the earliest they could accommodate us). We scheduled housekeeping for 11am every morning: they would either never show up or show up at 9am claiming no such arrangement for us had been made. At night we found a small cockroach next to the bed, the following afternoon, there was a large live one on the bathroom sink which I myself had to kill and then pest control who had allegedly fumigated came and removed the insect.BThe second to last night we were there was a party next or above us who threw trash in our balcony. The food was ok: buffets are their forte. The steakhouse was great. The Japanese cuisine was disappointing as we found some of the food too salty or too bland. No one ever explained the club level lounge access or gave us much explanation of the hotel.

Majestic Elegance raised the bar for me to a different degree. We had the opportunity to enjoy The Club experience and it was incredible. The property is stunning. The food delicious!! At the buffets and their different restaurants. The restaurants are a must try! The beach is so clean because they daily remove the seaweed. Which was one of the main reasons I chose this resort. The butler service included in The Club is a great touch and it certainly adds an element of luxury customer service to your vacation. I highly recommend this resort. And I will go back to it myself without hesitation.
