ok was in Rochester new York for a conference. just 1 night stay. hotel very nice. rooms updated which is good. no carpet in the room, a look alike wood floor that was lanolium. I had a problem with the noise of the people in the next room. called front desk to complain at 23.30 I was told that the room would be notified, I called again at 12 midnight. then it was quite. there were boys in that room. age 10-12. in the morning they set up there hockey net and were playing in the hallway, not stopping for people to get by, no parent in sight.

Booked 5-6 rooms through Orbitz which it shouldn't matter because my rooms were all paid in advance, my guest had a horrible time checking in and had to each call me when they did, I had each guest name attached to their rooms. They still could not check in without calling me. No complimentary breakfast only for a special promotion but only one room was able to have it? The breakfast staff then pointed and yelled at my guest when they sat down to eat they would be billed bc they couldn't eat there and that the lobby doesn't know what they are doing? Why is that their fault?? Not to mention my guests on two different occasions got stuck on an elevator... I asked the maid to give us a couple hours as we were getting dressed for the wedding and come back with clean stuff never happened. All this the day of and before my wedding. I would think twice about booking this ever again for any important event.

The hotel was good but will be great when construction/renovations are complete. Poor curtain rods, paint splatter around walls and lack of blow dryers made rooms a little less pleasing. In room dining hours need to be extended. The front desk staff while very pleasant need a little more training in hotel policies and city information.

The hotel is undergoing a complete renovation and is totally torn up. The restaurant/bar is a meeting room on the 4th floor that's got some tables in it with a limited food and drink menu (and there are not many nighttime options immediately surrounding the hotel.) The lobby is accessed via a steep set of temporary stairs (not great when you're hauling luggage). The rooms that are currently open are beat up and old. The bed skirts were frayed and torn, furniture chipped. I'm sure it will be great when it's all done, but I would have chosen a different hotel if Orbitz had made it more clear that it was under construction.

Shuttle would only run on the hour even if not in use. $20 breakfast buffet was horrible- not many options, hard as a rock french toast, and not many tables so must wait in line

Double beds shared room very nice view of city business and convention ballroom perfect gore event held good service very spacious environment and valet parking was great service

The shuttle reservation option online doesn't actually translate to getting a shuttle ride, so don't even try. Housekeeping just knocks on your door and doesn't always say "housekeeping!"which was weird. The bartender seemed overwhelmed by having to serve drinks to several people. And once when someone probably paid for my drinks and didn't tell me, another bartender just went ahead and charged me for the one I was drinking "just in case" since her shift had just started and we didn't know who paid. Downtown Rochester sucks, though, and the second I stepped out onto the street each time I was approached by people asking for money. Literally within seconds like they were targeting people staying at the "fancy" hotel. But if you have to go there, the Hyatt is probably your best option. Bring cash for taxis-there is no ride share service and the shuttle is basically not available to anyone ever.

Good hotel it is definitely in need of a makeover Bed was a little uncomfortable, tv had something wrong with it. Overall it was a good stay.

The staff is always friendly. The rooms are alwas clean, bright and well appointed. The bar has everything. Fitness center has free weights and the usual machines, plus a pool. The location is perfect for business and pleasure.

The staff is great, room is clean, food and bar were great. Fitness room. Everything perfect for the road warrior.

Great place, good bartenders and food. Very friendly and helpful staff. Location was nice and close to restaurants and bars.

Was in the Rochester area on business, had never stayed at a Hyatt Regency and from the reviews and price I figured it was worth a try. The hotel itself is beautiful and very well maintained, the staff was very professional and helpful and you could not beat the room price. I would definitely recommend the Hyatt and plan on staying there next time I am in town.

My hotel room was very clean, and nice. However for the price I felt like the wifi should be free. I mean McDonald's even has free wifi. For the price there should also be a contenintal breakfast. But overall it was very nice stay and the bed was super comfy.

Staff was great. Room was beautiful. Great view. Great Bar. just great

Friendly staff and comfortable bedding helped make my return to home over Thanksgiving weekend perfect. Clean, comfortable, and good value.

Sent us to a closed restaurant and did not describe process for parking correctly, causing us to spend our free time on corrections rather than relaxation :(

Very comfortable and quiet. In room dining was quick, I just wish I has ordered outside instead cause dinner was so expensive and selection was limited. Overall it was a relaxing stay.

Could not get a phone call answered -- phone would ring until call self-terminated on some occasions, on other occasions picked up after nearly two minutes ringing, only to be put on hold. Simple breakfast order took over 40 mins. to prepare, no explanation, no apology.

The hotel was ok, the lobby and restaurant looked nice, but our room had a strange smell and was a little run down. One of the window shades was broken, the TV was crooked, the pillows were really flat, etc.The sheets and bathroom seemed clean though, which is all I really cared about. The staff that we encountered were very friendly and it was short walking distance to the Blue Cross Arena, which is why we stayed there. All in all, it was ok, but I might try someplace else next time if the price is right.

The distance from the Airport was just great, the only hick up I had was,my flight got in late and I missed the shuttle cut off time for pick up.This is a property I would really stay at again, thanks to the gentle man who drop me off at the Airport.
