Old trying to look new the regency brand use to stand for high quality but the staff here is young sm DC not experienced the sales manager st a cocktail hour ignored me but the elevators and escalators still look old

Screaming babies at all hours of the day because they let huge groups pack into one room. Door handle broke while I was there and waited for an hour while maintenance used a crow-bar to get back into my room.

The website offers many amenities for this hotel and shows beautiful pictures.....too bad it is not the same in person. The pool was disgusting with hair clumps and other debri in it. The hot tub was green and to shallow (not filled properly). The work out area was not clean and was pretty disgusting as well. All reported to the front desk.....all ignored! Stayed for 5 days and nothing was done. The hotel says it offers room service and shuttles to downtown areas.....none of that happens. No menu in the rooms, no shuttles....unless you want to pay for them. Uber is cheaper. Water leaked into our room from the room next door.....dont worry I cleaned it up before it went much further, then someone decided to show up and say

To start this off let me inform you that I worked for The Condado Plaza Hotel Casino and the Ritz Carlton Hotel and Casino for 15 years. I have also stayed in other Hyatt properties previously. Now this hotel is a staple for quality. Just mention Hyatt and you expect a Hotel with a reputation they will uphold and exceed, but I was given a room next to an elevator when my reservation stated I wanted a room away from the elevators. So this room had a dirty shower with hairs in the bathroom sink and floor. The shower within eye site was dirty in the corners as if they don't wash the shower they just wipe down to clean as many rooms as possible with a small crew. Under the bathroom sink and under the clothing rack there was dirt and junk that should have been cleaned and mopped but no. The Housekeeping supervisor is expected to monitor cleanliness of room per floor to validate work and provide a guaranteed satisfactory room without a shadow of a doubt to the customer. My new room 1511 the toilet was not bolted to the wall or floor so I almost tipped over while I sitting down and also the shower was dirty again. Will I come back? maybe, will I recommend? I will always recommend Hyatt but this hotel with 2 rooms in one day being dirty. I will say they are all the same or just the floor this one employee cleans. Bottom line its still the supervisors job no matter how many floors the hotel has not every room needs to be checks every day but every floor needs to be sporatically white glove CHECKED. SORRY HYATT I DO THIS BECAUSE I LOVE YOUR NAME AND THE REPUTATION YOU HAVE.

Came to the Hyatt for the first time since it was renovated. We immediately noticed the changes. We remembered the old location of things and restaurants. We enjoy the new look and changes and the new restaurants ( especially Morton's ). Staff was very friendly and helpful. Parking was very convenient and protected from the weather. A lot of things to spend do nearby. Will definitely come back.

Frustration I called ahead because I was going to be a late check in and I wanted to make sure my room was secure. When I arrived I was unable to have the room I reserved and had no choice but to except a one bed room with a cot when I had booked a room with two beds. The room was clean and everything was in it's place. Unfortunately, the person next door to us played his televsion loudly until very late in the evening. I was awoke at 4:30 to the same person packing and coughing. I could hear every step and movement throughout their stay. Needless to say I had four hours of sleep which made it extremely difficult for me to attend to the conversion speakers like I needed to do. After i checked in I had a bight to eat and used my credit card to pay the bill. The servers were very friendly and the food came out at a timely manner. When I checked out in the morning my bill had also been charged to my room and I had to spend extra time at the front desk having the charge removed from my bill which made me late to the first speaker of the day. I was very frustrated by the time I left for the day. Tired, irritable, and disappointed with my over all experience.

Before checking in to the Hyatt Regency I took the time to read reviews and was a bit surprised that many were negative. Well, many were negative for a reason! Rather than going in to a detailed explanation, which would go on for days, bullet points are used. Escalator out of service for length of stay Additional key not noted & set aside for another guest in the room The 15th floor’s ice maker, despite running, did not work Took 2 calls over a 3 hour period to get a toothbrush delivered Mold ringing the shower Overused mattress made for a sleepless night Minimal soundproofing; e.g., we could hear the individual in the room next door using the bathroom The only way I/we would stay again is if mandated by the company. Please don’t let that happen!

Room was a nice design and made for tranquility and comfort. Thoroughly enjoyed the stay there. Appreciate the upgrades done: walk in showers in place of the tub; large mirror w clock; make up mirror; chaise for sitting; coffee set away from sleep and sitting.

Most I can say is "meh"......mainly because of the price paid. Yes, it's a Hyatt Regency-yes, it's a downtown hotel-yes, one will pay more for this. Nothing bad happened, just kind of ehhhh. Room I had was really nice. Very modern, clean, updated. Something was up with the WiFi where I could receive mail but not send mail, so ended up using my own hotspot. Not that big of a deal. Dinner downstairs was a bit too eclectic for me, way too foody, not to mention pricey. But, to each his own. Sometimes, I wish downtown hotels would just offer a simple burger and tater tot options. Breakfast next morning was not much to write home about. Obviously get out your wallet. Seemed like the buffet was kind of plopped alongside a wall (nothing like the buffet at Hyatt Princeton (that's a breakfast buffet worth paying for). I opted to order off the menu and get out of Dodge. Issue is in this area, I'm not aware of any other Hyatt properties which exist.

I stayed at the Rochester Riverside, it was terrible. The guest elevators don't work. I overheard the staff talking and they won't be back in working order until like August. Everyone had to used the service elevators. The elevators were very bad. If I didn't have asthma I would have walked up the stairs. The garage is very creepy and the machine that you put your ticket in to get out, kept breaking.
