The beach and pool areas were nice, and thats all the goid I can say. The resort was very outdated and needing repairs done. The staff was slow and my room was never cleaned until very late in the day. The air conditioning was limited and did not work in the rooms. The food was terrible and there were only 1 or 2 restaurants open at a time, the meat was mystery meat and the eggs were not real, the were powder. Would not recommend staying here.

I didn't like that every morning the staff that cleans the rooms would arrive before 8:00 am and hold very loud, non-stop conversations in the hallway. I called the front desk and they would get them to stop yelling up and down the halls, but the next day it would start all over again. Also, there is major construction on the property next to Dreams and the loud noise is nonstop from early morning until the sun set. The project is just starting and is expected to last a few years (or so I was told). If the staff didn't wake you up early, the construction would. It was hard to relax on the beach with all the noise from the construction.

It was a nice resort but very dated. It was close to the beach more family oriented that what I was hopeing for as it was just me and my wife. The staff was super friendly but you coud tell the facilities needed some upkeep. We had a dinner on the beach which it rained on nothing they could do about but the view was of some drunk guy throwing up all over out of a yard chair which they did nothing about. Scheduled activites didn't always happen at the time they where suppose to or sometimes not at all at one point there were 6 of us waiting for bingo and no one showed up to have it. Views were great though. Shows were good. They invite these people in though to sell u stuff and you have to haggle with them so long I mean its cut to the point they try to sell you something start at 60 u can buy it in the gift shop for 40.

It was an ok hotel, nice service and nice staff the hotel can use an elevator if you are in the third floor and have bad knees is a little bit painful, they can also use some golf cars to take people from one place to the other the distances are long

Over rated. Not worth the money. The furniture was old, room and hallways smelled like sulfur. The staff at the reception were rude and condescending. Not worth the money. The hotel is Not in Punta Cana. It’s in a town called Uveto Alyo Alto. Punta cana is about a 20 minutes utes away.

Lovely resort and beautiful lush grounds. Well kept grounds. Too many mosquitoes! I was bit so many time despite spraying myself constantly. The swim up room was fantastic but my room needs a renovation, it showed its age. The restaurant food was awesome, the buffet was just OK for me. The drinks I had were very good.The beach was nice but unfortunately a lot of sea grass when I was there. I would recommend.

I would only recommend with a bunch of caveats. Grounds/pool are beautiful (definately a 10) Beach was picturesque, but there was so much seaweed you could not use it or swim in ocean. (This appears to be a year around problem on this end of the island - not a one off bit of bad timing or bad luck). Staff was great (score a 9) Rooms are dated and new to be refreshed badly (they are clean and functional - good thing you dont spend much time there). A/C throughout the entire complex is non-existent or very poor overall. (Score 4) Food is terrible. When the buffet is the best thing going, that is a problem. Specialty restaurants were so bad, we left hungry and went back to buffet. The only good restaurant was the Hibachi - but its seating is VERY limited and hard to get into. Food looked and tasted like it was prepared in advance and not fresh. Food was often not hot, room temperature most times. There is a total lack of any seasoning in the food, we always asked for salt/pepper or any type of additional sauce on the menu (as a side) to add some flavor. It blows my mind that this resort was rated highly on its food. If thats the case, what are the other resorts serving. Except for the Preferred Club, ALL liquor is local brands (nothing you ever heard of) and one type of beer (a budweiser equivalent). Unless you purchase bottles of wine ($50 for something that costs $10 in US) your only choices are "Red or White" wine, which was terrible. Dont expect much for cost

THE STAFF: 5/5 The staff at Dreams Punta Cana are seriously the nicest people I have ever met in my life. I was amazed at how humble and friendly they were. They were so helpful, everyone always says hello. The service at the restaurants was outstanding! Gregory was our favorite waiter. He put together a very nice table with flowers, candles, & special menus for us. It was a complete surprise! THE RESORT: 4/5 The resort is gorgeous. Daily activities that change everyday, shows every night. It's hard to be bored at this resort, considering there is always something to do. The only thing I wish the resort had more of was a better night life. There is only one club, and it's not the greatest. I also wished the resort played more music at the pool and beach area, it was a little too quiet for me. They only had one live entertainer that would play after the shows for only 30 minutes (10:30-11:00 pm). We could hear loud music for other resorts, but that was about it for music. RESTAURANTS: 5/5 AMAZING food options. The Buffet was definitely my favorite and had the most food options. But the ALL restaurants were fantastic! ROOMS: 3/5 I had the swim-out pool room which we LOVED but as for the room itself, it was a little disappointing. The shower was a little weirdly constructed, causing most of the water to be on the floor instead of the tub. But since we didn't really spend much time in the room, it was fine with us. Plus the rooms were cleaned to perfection every single day!

My husband and I first vacation without the kids and we enjoyed our stay! The food was like all inclusive resorts and the rooms were a little date (which I rate it as a 4 star) but well maintained!
