Been there since 05. It's like another home. Everyone is friendly and knows your name. They give you anything you want. It's always clean, food is great. pools are nice, gym, jacuzzi. The shows are good and you get your moneys worth. Always great weather and a breeze in the afternoon. It's quiet at night. Not a young party crowd. The beach is nice and can walk either way each day. AC is great. Cable with some american channels. Bar/restaurant by the pool has good food for lunch and italian in the evening. Its not NY but I don't expect that. The other resaraunt is more of a sit down atmosphere, great fort breakfast or big selection in the evening. They are always looking to help. Th front bell boys are all nice guys. Waiters by the pool hustle all day and are great like Augustine. It is a time share place. That is the only complaint most people have. Do not go for the so called 30 minute talk etc for the vip discount. It will be 3 hours of punishment and hard sells. With the peso so low the discount isn't worth the head aches. But if you want one there is no better place. Im here 2 times a year. Its away from town so its real quiet. 2 for 1 happy hours too. Little store is good for extras. Many people get the large rooms and buy groceries in La Mega or Walkmart and cook themselves. Saves a lot of money and they only have drinks or light food and maybe a dinner at night. The large rooms are nice with dining table, utensils, stoves, jacuzzi tub, washers dryer. wifi you have 2pay4
I didn't know this was a time share. We were constantly asked to take the tour. Found out that internet was $10.00 a day unless we did the tour. Meals were 20% more because we didn't. It is amazing the things they added extra once we said no to the time share tour.
We had a great time. Pool is great, beach is wonderful, love the location. Our only complaint, the hotel didn't honor my Orbitz status (free wifi, 10% off food). I should them the documents and they said it was applied but it never was. At checkout they refused to adjust.
We spent forever at the front desk to check us in and they tried to sell us an upgrade. Then when we finally got to the room, they called us down telling us they forgot something, them the tried to get us to have a "free" breakfast all we had to do was sit and talk to a guy for an hour and a half. Then when we were at breakfast we could see and hear all the people who did take the free breakfast and they seemed very uncomfortable, especially when the sales guy asked for them to put down their info for any friends who might be interested in that deal. He was quite insistent.
beautiful facility, nice staff, &clean. Location - at the end of the road. however, the restaurants at this place leave a lot to be desired. first, there are only two: mexican/steak or italian/steak. the italian is outside, so if it rains, there is only one - and things get ugly! service was so-so. food unremarkable. this lack of options is a function of the resort trying to steer customers to their all-inclusive plans. the neighboring resorts also were all-inclusive, so taxi was required. the bell staff were GREAT - they know where to go for dinner! the REAL UGLY part were their incessant attempt to lure you into time-share sales presentations - it started at the airport and continued at the resort. why can't they just ask: "would you consider....," instead if saying they want to acquaint you with the facility - very annoying room service was dirt cheap - $20 for american breakfast for 2
The hotel was beautiful, met our expectations and some, the location is a little far from town, the beach is Ok, not bad, but not the best. If they would comb it once in a while would be great. The food is good, but with only two restaurants, the same foods offered every night, it gets boring. The buffet is so so. They used to have a taco stand, which I liked, but on my second trip, it was gone. I have never seen the pizza bar, which they advertise. You can get pizza through the restaurant thou. The poolside or Oceanside food/drink service is slow or almost non-existent.
Very nice place, wonderful rooms, pool very comfortable, the only thing I did not like was the hotel service
Wonderful hotel, beach, pool, staff the pamper you all the time
Everything was ok but just one complaint there was a lizard in the bed. The doors have huge gaps underneath the door so I believed it came in that way. Also their wifi connection really sucks.
Great in all respects. Food was average, except for the pizza, wow! The outside buffet had excellent steak. Pool and staff are wonderful. Very nice place to spend a week to ten days of relaxation.
Nice Resort,But all about time shares,Bar servers very nice. Not your typical Mexico Resort
So I obviously like the place. The location is fine for me and the hotel has increased the activities offered over the years. The accommodations are good and the staff is quite agreeable to moving you if your room doesn't suit you. The gentleman that assists with the internet is the Best! The food is good, I avoid the buffet as it encourages me to eat too much. I prefer to order off the menu. The waiters are great and Edgar was particularly helpful. Unfortunately I don't know the names of the gentlemen on the beach but they were wonderful getting my chair and umbrella. The waiters on the beach were good also. I love the beach. The negatives are few. I know some dislike the beach vendors but I like them very much and enjoy talking with them and practicing my Spanish. The real estate sales people are very persistent and I know it says the pitch will take about 90 minutes but it's more like three hours. It's very difficult to get away from them. The offers do change over the years so I am interested in hearing them, but I may have to re think that. I get irritable by hour three. Another problem is the tipping. Over the years it has really gotten out of control!!! I don't mind tipping at all and you are expected to tip the waiters of course, then they add a daily tip. I went to the spa and tipped everyone and then found out that they had also charged me a service charge. Tips are for good service not to supplement the hotels payroll. Wait staff usually have low pay and tips help. Other staff should be paid a living wage. I feel the hotel is evading their responsibilities by expecting the guests to help with wages to this extent. For the first time I am considering going elsewhere.
This location can't be beat. Away from the hustle and bustle forces you to relax and unwind. Fun activities and shows every day. Food is decent, though pricey. We were led us to believe this will all inclusive but then it wasn't. Check details before buying.
Great hotel and facilities.. however very slow check in and check out service and front desk personnel could be little more amicable.
This hotel is really a "time share" concept and you can tell as soon as you check in. It is very annoying to see the employees just trying to push the sales of the time share and wont let go. In the morning all you see is the "tours" going around you and takes away from the vacation atmosphere. The food options are limited and the all inclusive price is very expensive. The entertainment is lousy. Have stayed in so many hotels/resorts and will NOT be coming back to this one for sure. Unless you are interested in a time share I will not recommend you staying here.
The hotel itself was gorgeous and very comfortable but the staff kept bugging about a time share breakfast and they kept pressuring people to buy. It was very annoying, they also offered "discounts" which were not even worth it. However, the view from the hotel was amazing, even though it was kind of far from everything like the downtown and the stores. Bottom line I would recommend the hotel just stay away from the concierge.
Everything was great but the entertainment team was fantastic!! Isaiah and Jonathon - and team were amazing! If we come back, we need to know that they are still working there = don't let them go!! In fact, give them a raise to keep them - I have never in all my vacations have I met such a talented and customer friendly group - they really made our vacation one to remember!! Please thank them for us!
I have never met such professional and yet friendly entertainment staff - specifically Isaiah, Jonathon, Maria, Rose- they were absolutely the best!!! Very professional and yet approachable and friendly to everyone! If we come back, it will be because they are still there!! Otherwise, maybe somewhere else! Don't let them go!!
Highly recommended hotel with an excellent activity team. Thank you Isaías, Rossie and the rest of the team. We did water aerobics, kayaking, volleyball, stretching, walking. I tried to write thisalso in Spanish but I couldn´t as the system kept on saying I was using inappropriate language.
This place is awsome, in a great location, the service is good, but you need to know a few things: - this hotel belongs to a fractional ownership group that entices you on the property in order to sell you ownership (time-share type of thing, but the name got such a bad reputation that they changed it). You basically have to go to their presentation (2 hours at least) because the prices in the hotel amenities are otherwise ridiculously high. You get a discount if you attend their presentation. - internet access is extra ($15 per day) - if you go for dinner in town (Buscerias, La Cruz) you can get great food at a normal price. Overall I had a good time, but I felt that I overpaid for the services in the hotel.
