Rooms are nice, as are the pool area and beach. However food is mediocre, and you can’t make reservations for the specialty restaurants; you need to get in line before they open and hope to get in. You can only get pool towels once a day, and we were charged $25 to check out one hour late. Overall our stay was disappointing.

Food options quite limited, restaurants menus are very small, 2-3 appetizers, 4 main courses which felt relatively same as buffet menu. In the buffet the food was the same every day except few specials. The hotel policy on beach towels also seems unnecessarily restrictive. Otherwise good hotel, pretty clean and good service.

Property is old and outdated m. All sheets were stained. Towels were brown so couldn’t tell if they were clean. Pool towels were limited to one person. Beach and ocean water had horse poop lying around. Best thing was the entertainment and staff. Clientele was pretty poor. I would pay more to go to a more upscale place.

Excellent all around! RIU at their best! We stayed at the RIU Palace before but now that it switched to adult only, we had to pivot to this resort to take the kids. Everything for the most part was just as good as the Palace. Staff is super friendly! Cleanliness is pristine.The food selection is great even for the fussiest of eaters.The beach is clean and spacious. There is horseback riding, parasailing, jetskiing, etc. for additional cost of course but very convenient and at reasonable cost. Highly recommend it! We will surely be back!.

We just stayed 12 days. We are experienced travelers and this is our second stay at a Riu. This resort BY FAR hits all of the vacation points that a person searches for. My wife and I talked this morning and couldn’t think of one thing that we experienced that wasn’t top notch. Staff go out of their way to make sure your experience is special. BIG shout out to the entertainment staff especially Christopher they really keep things exciting and you can truly see they enjoy their jobs!!!!! 5 out of 5 for us for all the right reasons!!!!
