Overpriced, not accommodating, services not available thru spa or room service, nothing at all made this a fun or great place to stay, everything you encountered was “DIFFICULT”.
Pool was being renovated, was not notified till we arrived… I have kids.. made it kind of annoying. Room had a makeup pillow and dirty comforter…. For 400$ a night I expect better
We stayed in Room 701, which had a very nice view of the city and harbour area. Room was clean and nicely laid out. Staff was super-friendly. Good dining options w/in walking distance. All in all, a very nice overnight in Boston.
Very friendly, helpful, courteous and generous staff. Room was spotless and enjoyed the welcoming amenities. Restaurant and bar were very nice on-site features.
The rooms seems dated compared to similar hotels in the area. Rooms do not seem to be very sound proof. We could hear the staff dropping things down the hallway, talking and etc. makes sleeping a little harder. Overall a good hotel!
Absolutely beautiful hotel. Staff is impeccable and very attentive and friendly. My only issue is that my room, 6th floor, directly faced the fire dept and There were sirens all night. I realize this is not the hotels fault but I got no sleep. Big city, noise, all true but a little too noisy for me.
Staff were very friendly and helpful. Rob @ the concierge helped us book the duck boat and was also very knowledgeable of the city. Room was so quiet and the mattress and pillow didn’t give me any trouble after 4 nights.

The Intercontinental is at the heart of the waterfront area of Boston. It is a fantastic luxury hotel at an affordable price and still lives up to expectations. We could not be more satisfied with a hotel experience as we were this week.
It was clean and beautiful
Getting in touch with the hotel was difficult to get into on early check in. The bathtub was dirty and unusable. Somehow there was no top sheet? For a hotel as nice as this purports to be the experience was disappointing.

We recently stayed at the Intercontinental for a weekend birthday getaway. It was beautiful, clean, and the staff was welcoming and friendly. This is a great place to stay if you want to explore Boston on foot as it is very close to everything. Cannot wait to return!
Pros: The service at the hotel was outstanding. The actual property wonderfully located and in good condition. Cons: The contracted valet parking service was pretty unfriendly. Gives a bad image for the wonderfully service-oriented hotel to be honest.
The intercontinental hotel is nice for a stay in Boston. It was convenient for walking around the city and close to public transit. Check in and out was quick and easy. However, the room was really dusty, the phone didn’t work to call the front desk, there wasn’t enough toilet paper and the pillows are entirely too small. In addition, I had a drink at the outdoor bar and the server came back and announced loudly that my card was declined. When I checked my bank app, it shows a charge for the drink still days later. Overall, I was disappointed and would choose to stay somewhere else on my return to Boston.
