Great location and awesome room. Would highly recommend!!! No issues at all. A++

Great experience! Awesome bed! Awesome staff. Clean room! Great location!

I had to make reservations on short notice. With several events taking place in Boston there were few rooms available at a reasonable price. As it turns out I couldn't be happier with my choice. Studio Allston has a unique vibe with walls painted by a variety of local artists and a lively Latin restaurant and outdoor bar. My room was spacious and comfortable with a great view of the Boston skyline. The staff was very courteous and helpful. I wouldn't hesitate to stay here again in a future visit.

Great place to stay if you don't need extras like full breakfast and a pool. Really clean and very friendly staff. Several good diners and an IHOP are close by, also lots of high end Asian restaurants.Convenient to downtown, colleges and western suburbs.

I was checked into the "south building" (addition behind the main building), which has only two floors of rooms. The building faces the public works to one side and a very old skating building to the other, so the view was less than ideal. From the outdated and stubborn elevators to the damp interiors, it shows that the building itself is quite old, which mars the experience of the art around the building. The amenities are there but sparse -- the information book dedicates just four pages to the hotel amenities and services, and the rest are about the artists, which seemed a little bit backwards. The staff was quite nice and attentive, but the quality of service couldn't redeem the facility itself.

Hotel staff have no training in customer service. the front desk staff was rude and tacked over $50 on to the listed web price for the room. They were unapologetic for this gratuitous "tax" .

Walking distance between Cambridge and Boston. Had to take a cab to get downtown, which wasn’t ideal because we wanted to explore the city. It was a very clean hotel. They was a light breakfast every morning and a keurig always available. Honestly, it was a great hotel and very clean!

Room is clean. Staff is super friendly. Interior decor is nice. Price is reasonable. Location is good. The surroundings are quiet at night. It is an artistic hotel, not a business style hotel. There is no fancy desk or chair, and no USB power outlet. No fridge in the room. Overall it is a great hotel.

A/C didn't work very well Could not find the vending area View was overlooking the public works

We wanted a place in Cambridge. The Allston was a bit off the radar but was sure worth it! The room was spacious and overlooked the Charles River. The bed was amazing. Sheets were extra nice. So comfortable. The staff was also exceptional. They went the extra mile for us on several occasions: directing us to a great walk; holding our bags all day; offering donuts late in the day; bottled water at check-in (they could tell we were thirsty) ... the staff just seemed to notice ways to delight us and proactively made things happen.

Thank you for taking the time to review you recent visit. I do apologize for the concern for the Incidental hold. This is a deposit should a guest charge anything during their visit, and is required for all guests as noted during the booking process. I apologize if this information was not clear.
