Fairmont Copley Plaza, Boston

The hotel was lovely and the location was perfect. Our stay was very enjoyable, except for the Oak Bar. We tried to get in a couple of times, but it was full (understandable on a weekend) and we went back on a quiet afternoon. We sat in the fireplace area, along with a couple of other groups. Staff looked out from the dining area, but didn't come out, so we figured they didn't cover the fireplace area. After 15 minutes, we went in to ask. They said they would send someone out. After 15 more minutes, another couple arrived to the fireplace area with a dog - a staff member came right out, walked past our table, and greeted the new group with menus and an offer of a better table. We were fuming. We understand that the Copley is dog-friendly, they make it quite clear, but REALLY. We felt invisible. Particularly when the staff member seemed to ignore us (perhaps she didn't hear us) when we tried to interrupt the dog-hugging to express our frustration. We left.

Great Stay! Hotel is pet friendly, my kids loved the canine ambassador in the lobby (Gracie), and the Gold Level lived up to and exceeded expectations. It was a great location with easy walking distance to a lot of the main sites. Across the street from the library.

I enjoyed my stay. Staff was friendly and professional. The bar and restaurant are very welcoming and service was great. Some aspects of the room were a bit "tired" but the bed was very comfortable and the bathroom was more than adequate.

Boston Fairmont is a cant miss! Centrally located and nice rooms! Meg at the front desk is the absolute best, you don't find people like that willing to go above and beyond!! Kudos to her!!! Will DEFINTELY be back!

I enjoyed my stay so much and especially the good sleep I had that I actually dreamed of telling my friends how good my sleep was! It doesn't get much better than that!

While it's exterior and public spaces establish a Gilded Age sense of elegance, it is the consistently friendly staff and the peerless quality of the accomodations that bring one back again. For access to some of Boston's more established cultural institutions the Fairmont cannot be matched. Trinity Church and the Boston Public Library (think John Singer Sargent's "Hall of Religion") are just across the street. The access to public transit is perfect. A short three minute walk to the Copley Green Line takes one to the Symphony, the Museum of Fine Arts, and the Isabella Stewart Gardner Museum. Like to shop? The Fairmont is two blocks from Newberry Street's boutiques and restaurants. The Fairmont's Oak Room is just the ticket for breakfast (get there early to sit next to the cozy fireplace!) and for a nightcap in the evening. In Boston I want to stay only at the Fairmont.

Excellent stay, the staff go out of their way to make the stay perfect and always call you by name.

Comfortable guest rooms and beds, excellent food and service for breakfast (we didn’t eat dinner at The Fairmont), Vibrant lobby and prefunction areas, outstanding service throughout. Concierge has tremendously helpful before we arrived and valet service carried our luggage a half a block to meet our Uber driver as we checked out. First class hotel from start to finish.

The hotel was decorated beautifully for Christmas! The rooms have been renovated but the charm of the hotel has been maintained. Our dog was welcome for a fee.

Perfect check in... friendly staff. Great hotel experience.

The hotel is beautiful and gracious. Walking distances to shopping, the theatres, and Boston Commons. I love to walk so I walked the Freedom Trail and to the river.

The staff is exceptionally friendly and very helpful. For your convenience the hotel offers a text service to address any questions or concerns without having to leave your room. The hotel is close to many great restaurants and shopping. Also, located directly across the street is a pick up area for the hop on hop off tour bus.

Perfect location and staff exceedingly courteous and helpful...worth the $$

CONVENIENT DOWNTOWN LOCATION PERFECT ACCESS TO NEWBURY STREET AND THE PRU

This hotel is perfectly located, beautifully decorated and staff is really oriented to service. Minor comments are around the following: - Given the hotel's bar and restaurant are famous for locals, having some kind of priority list vs others to be seated. It is annoying that you can't eat/drink in your own hotel without waiting long periods of time for a table or spot at the bar - Housekeeping starts making noise really early in the am, even on weekends (like 7:30 or 8am). This is not little noise, this will wake you up constantly The above are comments juat to make this the perfect hotel.

Great hotel, rooms were neat and clean, and staff was very friendly.

Absolutely gorgeous hotel and helpful staff. I was upgraded upon and arrival and they seemed to have free wine and cheese in the lobby. The bed was also very comfortable and the room was well decorated. I received text messages asking about the quality of my stay.

Friendly, helpful staff. Aging facility, but well maintained. Halls are a bit dark, but room was nice.

We stay there often and always enjoy it. Great bar , beautiful lobby An old fashioned ambiance.

This hotel is a beautiful, elegant place to stay and in one of the best locations in Boston. It is right in Copley Square, close to the T, restaurants and shops. The lobby is gorgeous and the gift shop is delightful- lots of interesting things to buy. Don't forget to pick up the stuffed animal version of Carly, the black Labrador Retriever dog, and her book about her and the hotel! Very cute! The Oak Room is a fantastic place to have breakfast, lunch or dinner. The bar is lively at night. The only criticism, is the rooms are starting to look old and need updating. Other than that, it is one of the best places to stay in Boston. Enjoy!

Thank you for your feedback. We are terribly sorry to hear of your experience at OAK Long Bar + Kitchen! This is unacceptable and we will be sure to share your review with the restaurant's management team immediately for internal review. This is absolutely not the norm at our hotel and we sincerely apologize once again. We are glad to see that the rest of your stay was wonderful. Thank you for taking the time to share and we hope that you'll come back soon for a renewed experience.
