Stayed there for a few nights on our honeymoon. Found the hotel to be in a great location. We did some washing (had just returned from 2 weeks in Egypt and Jordan) wasn’t overly expensive and the lady at the front desk was very helpful. The design of the shower was very weird. If it had opened at the other end it would’ve been better. The way it was designed water ended up leaking all over the bathroom floor creating a giant puddle. The hotel has WiFi which was super lucky! We didn’t know that daylight savings was starting on the 10th. Luckily our phones were connected to the WiFi so they auto updated the time. If this had not happened we would’ve missed out train. A sign in the lift notifying about daylight savings would have been very helpful! Comfy room. Loved the pillows!!

I've never written a tripadvisor review before. In fact, I created an account for the explicit purpose of describing the very negative experience I had with this particular hotel and its managerial staff. I booked this hotel through "Hotel Tonight," which may have been my first mistake. They are pretty clear about their refund policy, which is to say: it's hard to get a refund once you prepay for the room. According to Hotel Tonight, the properties themselves are able to determine their own refund policies. Hence the beginning of my negative encounter with the Found Hotel in Boston. I was traveling to Boston for an interview. An important interview that was arranged at the last minute. I had to scramble to get a flight and a hotel room. It was expensive. I'm not a wealthy guy. I really had to stretch to make this happen, but, alas, opportunity calls. As some of you locals might remember, there was a significant snowstorm on Sunday 3/3 and Monday AM 3/4. The airport CLOSED for the morning. All runways ceased to operate. My flight was delayed for 6+ hours. There was no way I was going to make it in time for my interview. I called the hotel to describe my circumstances. According to locals in the area, the city was a mess. Roads were closed. Traffic was nightmarish. It would have been apparent to anyone that travel was nearly impossible. I spoke with someone who works at the front desk, Jordan, who was very matter of fact that until my flight was properly canceled, I would not be entitled to a refund. I asked to speak to his supervisor. This is where my frustration began. I spoke with Edward, and very calmy described my situation to him. I had an interview planned that day, and I would have to reschedule it because my flight was significantly delayed. I wouldn't be in Boston that night. Would they please consider offering me a refund? Could they extend any graciousness to someone facing a challenging circumstance? Edward was, to say the least, extremely rude and inconsiderate. I understand that policies are policies, but if a major snowstorm isn't reason enough to offer reconsideration, I'm not sure what is. I said that I felt the policy was particularly ruthless, and he chuckled to himself, following up that lovely reaction with a sarcastic: "I look forward to speaking with you when your flight is canceled." What I can say is that it was his tone and apparent "service" mindset that really got to me. He simply didn't seem to care about my situation, nor did he -- for a single moment -- appear to listen to my story or consider making an exception. I can't speak to the property or the experience of staying there. But I can tell you that when I faced a hard and bizarre circumstance, with proof that I wouldn't be coming to Boston at all in hand, the proprietors thought that keeping my $200 was more important than offering a bit of understanding and graciousness. Hotel Tonight apologized extensively and encouraged me to plead my case. The Found did no such thing. Save your money and stay somewhere else. More than any other customer service experience I've had, this felt like a business reveling in its opportunity for profits. And that's something that I can't support. One star.

Great hotel for a few nights in Boston, room was small but was clean and had everything we needed. Great location, even better nightly rate, easy check-in and discounted parking garage rate which was conveniently located just across the road. Maybe I'm easy to please but there are a good amount of "not so great" reviews and the hotel deserves more credit. Don't base your booking on whether or not the staff has a smile on their face, can't beat a clean bed in a good location for a cheap rate!

Was looking for a hotel near the Blue Man Group (that's another review - not impressed) but this hotel is literally right behind the Charles St Theater. It's very centrally located. Great value. Clean and attractive. The two queen beds in our spacious room where separated by a black out curtain!! Have been looking for something like this for years - I can get up early and read without disturbing the others - a simple elegant solution. For the price there are few amenities but a perfect place to stay and "do Boston". Walking distance to practically everywhere. Female hotel staff could have been more friendly and animated but otherwise would be very happy to stay here again.

My overall experience of the hotel was 'ok'. It is a very cheap hotel considering it's right in the center of Boston, amazing location. I came as a single traveler to come and explore Boston and I walked everywhere! My final room ( will explain later in text) was quite spacious for one person, had a good sized bathroom and very comfy bed. Cleaning service was very good too and I have no complaints about that. As I first came to check in I didn't feel welcome at all, I found the staff member very rude. He rolled his eyes and sighed when I said I booked through hotel tonight. He didn't make much conversation, he didn't explain the services of the hotel , he didn't direct me where my room is. Very bad first impression ! The first room I got was very small, I didn't really mind that as I was on my own however the pipes in the room were making very loud noises ! I tried to ignore that however I then got to realize how thin the walls are as I could hear the TV of the room next door and their whole conversation ! ( it pushed me to the edge when I could fully hear my neighbor yawn!) I asked to swap rooms, again, the staff member was being rude about it. I tried explaining the issue but the staff member didn't seem to take much notice of it and ignored my points. He did in the end give me another room. In the end the room I got was fine and didn't have any complaints about it. I must add however that the hotel does not provide any necessities. As my trip was last minute i forgot a few bits and asked if i could get or purchase a toothbrush, I also had a bottle of wine and needed a corkscrew but they didn't have either of those so had to go to the nearby corner store. Personally I wouldn't stay there again, I would more likely pay the extra 20/30 bucks for a nicer hotel and better service. Being a solo traveler as well as a manager at an inn, I know that it is key to make the guest feel welcome in a foreign place, which I did not experience in Found Boston Common Hotel.

Came for a weekend visit with family. Wanted something near the Commons and found this. Great location, and not very expensive. Room was small as expected. Breakfast typical: coffee, juice, packaged pastries, bananas, oranges, yogurt. No seating area in breakfast room. No coffee in room. But we would go again if the prices was right (<< than other hotels in area). A bit noisy at 2am Friday night as clubs let out. But great to be near Chinatown. Great breakfasts at The Friendly Toast, just 7 min walk away.

Comfortable room. Excellent location within easy walking distance of the hop-on/hop-off bus, Boston Commons, and playhouses. Public parking structure located across the street from the hotel - hotel discount applies. There is no seating available, but a breakfast of pastries, power bars, yogurt, juice and coffee can be picked up on the basement level. Would stay there again.

What a dissapointment, from check in to check out..staff was not welcoming at all. Room had a horrible smell and when I mentioned it to the employee at the front desk, I got an empty stare. How dare they charge $300+ a night. I tried to remain positive during my one night stay, but check out destroyed any positivity I had left... not even a “ “How was your stay?” Or have a good day, or thank you for choosing Found...nothing..

The overall interior of the hotel is extremely unimpressive and the people who work for this hotel are extremely rude and short tempered. Overall this hotel is not worth any amount of money and no one should ever have to suffer the psychological torment of being treated so poorly by mean people in a disgusting environment

My friend and I were looking for an available hotel in a good walking location in Boston for the weekend. Found Hotel met our needs. I was not able to give it more than a 3 star because they are in the middle of a renovation, so some things were not up to par. However, the room was totally renovated and modern although it was quite small. That did not matter since it was just the two of us and we were out and about all day enjoying Boston. They still need to renovate their entrance, elevator and hallways. One might say that the price was high given the condition, however, Boston is an expensive city and compared to others, it was not that pricey. The most important thing was the clean updated rooms, the pleasant front desk service (Edward was wonderful and very helpful and accommodating. The toiletries provided were very nice and the blow dryer made it very convenient for us. It was in a very convenient location and we walked everywhere we wanted to go. They are directly across from a parking garage where we left our car for the weekend and you get discounted rates with proof of your stay at the Found Hotel which the front desk will provide for you. I would come again and hopefully next time, the renovations will be complete.
