Love the option to either enjoy the rhythms of downtown Boston or have a relaxing and quiet environment

Loved our stay at The Godfrey Boston. Walking distance to everything we enjoyed. Personable staff - nice!!

Upon checking in we were told we had an inside room. That is not what was requested. We upgraded for $40 per night. Couple traveling with were not charged anything. When asking for any information i.e. Restaurants, sight seeing, we could never get a correct answer. There is not an restaurant for any kind of breakfast, lunch or dinner located in the hotel. Bar in the hotel doesn't open until 4, and just horrible service there. Our vacation was booked for a week. The last straw was when we are in our room changing, housekeeping walks in and asks aren't you checking out. We said no and please leave our room. Finally we've had it and wanted to get as far away as we could. Checked out. Traveled to other parts of this beautiful area. Hint. Don't stay at the Godfrey.

The hotel was clean and centrally located to everything we wanted to see. Very comfortable bed and the shower was the best I've ever had! Washed away every ache. Staff were courteous and helpful.

This was a fanstastic hotel--fabulous location, clean, luxurious, and modern. Four stars because they gave me a second floor hotel room and the lobby is blasting techno music (like club/lounge style techno music) until 1am. So if you are coming there to sleep before 1:00am, make sure they don't give you a second floor room. The pounding from the bass in the music on the ground floor WILL be heard and will keep you up!! They did honor my request to change rooms to a higher floor, and from then on my stay was perfect.

Hotel staff welcomed us with opened arms. Very friendly. Room very clean and inviting (great shower, huge TV screen) Lily very cordial and gave us a great tip on where to go for breakfast. Very pleased staff was able to store our luggage after checkout so we could attend Red Sox game

Pros: Great staff. Vibrant lobby. Good location. Cons: Not a good value. Small, noisy rooms. Terrible bathroom door offering no privacy. Don't think I would stay here again.

Bedding had an odor, room did not have any drawers or view. Desk had me going initially into wrong room.

It was a very good experience. The staffs are ver friendly and helpful. Definitely will come when visiting Boston

I stay at this hotel anytime I can! It's a great location, cleanest rooms and most importantly it's always quiet and peaceful. Impeccable.

Very nice hotel located in a great area. Easy access to a lot of history.

The staff was very nice. Everyone was attentive. Nice location and close to the T.

Only complaint is the music is so loud and incredibly obnoxious in the lobby. This isn't Abercrombie or H&M people, it's a hotel! Rooms on the small side too.

The people working at the hotel went out of their way to accommodate me. The rooms were very spacious and well appointed! Loved it!

Couldn't have been worse. The management of this hotel is completely inflexible in meeting customer needs.

Great location for a getaway weekend in Boston. Limited bar/food options, but that's not what you stay here for anyway.

Highly recommend for it's great location, modern look, and cool vibe.

We booked based on the reviews and were not disappointed. The rooms are nice and very clean as the hotel is new. The hotel floors are a little chopped up and you feel like you are walking through a maze from your room to the elevator. This is because it is a retrofit of an older building which leads to some nooks and crannies. That is part of the character. The lobby is well populated as it contains a bar and is adjacent to a very nice coffee shop with artisan pastries and sandwiches. Definitely has a younger crowd as evidenced by the lobby piped in, background music and the very welcoming use of laptops and wifi in the lobby with plenty of outlets and seating. Very close to Boston Commons and plenty of restaurants within walking distance. Not stuffy at all. A good jumping off point for exploring Boston.

Extremely friendly staff. Comfortable bed and pillows. Clean bathroom. Nice hotel gym. Great location with a nice coffee shop (George Howell) in the lobby.

Everything was great but the bed was a little to soft for our liking. They only supplied one bath robe for two people but the rest of the amenities were fine. Location was perfect for seeing the city, subway, Boston Common/Gardens, State Building, China Town, everything was near by.
