Everything was great about this hotel- especially the staff. Sean was incredibly kind, welcoming and helpful at check in. The only thing I would change about the hotel is that the rooms are really dark, so if you're planning on getting ready in the bathroom, bring your own lighting source!
The location is great, but the hotel is dated and is well worn. Our room had a strong odor of mold or mildew, and badly needed remodeling. The bathroom was dirty, there was the previous guest's hair all over the floor. Our room was also next to a YMCA rooftop children's play area, which was super bizarre as there were children playing right outside of our window starting pretty early in the morning. Orbitz completely failed to make our reservation, and the hotel accommodated us after I called to sort things out myself. The hotel staff who helped us was great. Book directly with the hotel if possible and bypass Orbitz's terrible customer service.
Good hotel, I enjoyed staying here
Great facility and comfortable stay. Parking is difficult. Really need to use the in-house valet. Wish this was communicated previously as there is no on-site parking and Boston rates are higher than we expected.
Property has seen better days. Likely a great place to stay back in the 90s, not much has been done since then to keep it up-to-date. Everything is broken and/or missing or closed. Allegedly, one can use the pool at the neighboring YMCA, but following the directions to the YMCA leads one to a vacant, abandoned rooftop tennis court and an "elevator" with a button and everything that says "Elevator to YMCA" and yet does not actually do the one task that one expects of an elevator. First room we were put into had no windows and felt like some sort of punishment. The staff were extremely helpful, though, and really did try their best to make things better. Our second room was just fine. Whatever you do, do not fall for the orbitz "free breakfast" scam. Here is how it works: you pay $15 per person per night for "free breakfast". What you get is $15 per person per night in credit that can only be used at the (decent, reasonably-priced) restaurant. So, it's kind of like taking your money and just giving it to the hotel ahead of time and then not having the option to change your mind once you realize what is going on. Hard to blame the hotel for this, but beware.
Many things were broken- ice maker, vending machines, no coffee maker in rooms. Area around hotel was not appealing, hotel had a musty smell.
It was a good stay and loved the room.
The free wifi they stated is only for honor member. When I booked this overnight stay it says free wifi.
The staff is just awesome. I arrived early for check in and they told me the room was ready for me to check in. I had a pleasant night sleep.I was tired from flights. Ordered dinner from the restaurant on site was so delicious.
It was a good stay, but the check in could have been better.
Hotel is very nice, rooms are spotless and updated. Hotel bar closes early (10am). We couldn’t get a refrigerator for our room and the hostess was nor helpful with this request. That sucked because had leftovers from Chinatown.
I enjoyed my stay and the room was great! I wish i could have stayed longer.
Once again, a good stay. It offered everything I needed.
As aways, a very good stay and i will recommend to family and friends.
The beds are hard as rocks and they charge you for everything. Loose key they charge you dont bring back keys they charge you. We service was offered no clean sheets or towels were offered.
I was a great stay. The staff was wonderful and definitely no complaints.
It was a very good stay, but during two stsys, i was given two keys that didn't work.
