I checked in late (after midnight) and was greeted by a nice gentleman at the front desk. I proceeded up to my room and as soon as I opened the door I could smell smoke. Luckily they had air freshener under the sink. I sprayed the room and it was smokey again within minutes, I was exhausted so I went to bed and covered my head with the covers. I said nothing to the staff when I checked out the next morning because it did not smell. All in all the hotel is beautiful and well located. Loved the cafe downstairs, the guys who worked there were so friendly.

I have been coming to this hotel for years since it is the ideal location to the water, North End, Fanueil Hall, Quincy Market, etc. The staff is great, the room is awesome and is just a great place to stay at for a weekend getaway.

This was an excellent choice for me. I was in town for only one night and needed a convenient place with quality lodging. The staff was friendly and helpful. The room was far better than I expected. The bed was comfortable, with extra pillows and blankets, The bathroom was marble/tile with updated fixtures. The A/C worked well. There was a small sofa in the room as well as a table and two dining chairs. All in all it was a great stay.

First time visiter to Boston, and the weather was was in the 80's. There was so much to see close by that we could walk out the front door and be in the center of all of its history. The subway was steps away from the front door, and we used it to get to the airport a total of 15 minuets. Since it was warm, we used the AC in the room. It blew directly onto the bed and there was no way to redirect the cold air from the register. In the bathroom the exhaust fan did not work.

I was in Boston for a conference. This location was relatively close (within 15 minutes) from both the train station (South Station) as well as Logan Airport. The rooms were clean and there was a Starbucks downstairs with some limited options for breakfast (not included in hotel cost). There was a business center but no gym.

Clean and comfortable. Close to everything. Pleasant staff responded immediately to my needs.

Lovely boutique hotel across the street from Faneuil Hall. It did not have the amenities I am accustom to in the large hotel chains. It doesn't have coffee maker in the room or free coffee in the lobby. A Starbucks sets up in the bar area at 6AM. However, there is a 24/7 convenience mart next door to the hotel that has coffee, fruit, donuts, muffins, and breakfast sandwiches at a very reasonable prices. There are also Dunkin Donuts about every block in Boston. The bar does serve bar food some evenings. However, there are plenty of restaurant choices very close to the hotel. There is not an airport shuttle. You would need to use Lyft, Uber or a taxi. I would definitely stay at the Harborside Inn again. The room was very nice and comfortable with a great view, and the staff was wonderful.

It doesn't make sense to require a written review to submit feedback; this just limits the number of feedback responses you'll receive. You should check out Signpost -- it tries to minimize friction in getting feedback from your customers and IMO it works really well.

You are within walking distance to so many restaurants and bars. It's really nice inside the hotel. I would definitely stay here again!

Elegant and modern lobby and rooms, warm and attentive staff, right in between Faneuil marketplace and the boardwalk at Rowe's wharf. Convenient location and great atmosphere. Will book again!

Room was really big and has everything I want! Great view, perfect location, comfortable and clean. I had a few problems with the TV- blurry channels and remote issues but everything else was great

Had two reasons to interact with Front Desk during my one-night stay and both times they provided excellent customer service. Location right near Faneuil Hall; would definitely return.

Could not have gotten a better deal in such a great location. Very customer friendly. My FV wasn't working and they swapped it out in twenty minutes! One minor complaint...room lighting was s bit dim.

The hotel itself is very nice. The location is excellent. Very close to restaurants and things to do.

A clean and sharp looking hotel with a friendly accommodating staff.

The hotel is very nice walking distance to just about everything and a very cozy hotel . The front desk staff are not very friendly but overall a good place to stay .

One block from Quincy Market/Faneuil on State Street in Boston. Quirky little hotel - but cozy and charming. Friendly staff. Stylish bar area and big computer area. Only somewhat negative observation was that room had no closet for hanging items. Lots of storage- just no closet. Overall though - a great find! I'd definitely return!

They said checking was at three pm but we got into our room at 1pm. Great staff. Lots of amenities and the rooms were beautiful!! Close to all the the sites and the Boston market is right around the corner!!

We had an Atrium queen room. It was very quiet, but the room was very small - barely enough room to walk around the bottom of the bed. Lighting was terrible - very dim even with the all of the lights on and the bedside lamps at their brightest setting. When we arrived, the room was quite warm so we turned the thermostat down and basically ran a/c while we were there. It's a good location; steps from the Aquarium station and an easy walk to all the sites & restaurants. We did not try the bar or the breakfast cafe.

There is no room service; you get your ice from the basement; there are no coffee pots in the room; you get your coffee and pastry at the adjacent bar for a hefty price and you have to dress and go down and get it. The room was clean enough but bed was lumpy. Nothing sensational about this old hotel, other than location. Very overpriced when you consider what you get from Marriott on the wharf, Bostonian, etc. I am staying there two days at the end of my current trip to Israel but will not stay there again.
