Not the best Moxy

We have stayed at the Moxy in NYC at least four times, have always loved it. This Moxy left a lot to be desired. First, we booked a river view room—there is an up charge for this room, we could barely see a portion of the river if peeking out of the edge of the window. The bed was uncomfortable. Food and drink options were lacking. Won’t stay here again.

RUDE Female Management

I was treated horribly by the desk manager for two days. She embarrassed me in front of guests. I cannot believe she is allowed to act like that on the job.I paid extra for a nice room that she refused to offer me. Another manager had to step in to assist me with check in. She kept arguing and disrespect me. This is horrible.

Great location, but extremely loud. I’ve stayed in NYC hotels in the heart of Times Square and didn’t hear any street noise. At this property, you hear everything (cars, ambulances, people coming out of clubs). Very minimal furnishings in the room, no closet. Shower is great. Expensive room, but you pay for convenient location.

Property tries so hard to be hip that it is annoying. Check in on 2nd fl, okay but entry is cold and uninviting, no one around. Very very noisy at night. LOTS OF STREET NOISE. Nothing in cement box of a room, VERY SMALL, to absorb noise. No storage to get your "stuff" out of the way. Only way to use the one mirror in room is to close bathroom door and it does not stay closed unless locked from the inside. That is annoying. Breakfast options limited, prepackaged yogurt and few fruit choices...Spend the extra $ and stay someplace else. It is a convenient location.

27 Anniversary Trip 7 night stay

very hip place. I think it’s more for a younger crowd. My room didn’t have any closets, microwave and fridge. The bed was low and so was the toilet. We had to pay some service fee of 230 dollars but they gave us vouchers of that amount for their cafe shop. On positive side: Morning staff let us check in early and no cost. Very close to a lot of things like restaurants coffee bars and the Boston Commons. Majority of staff was super helpful and friendly.

Amazing hotel with absolutely no faults. The decor is fun & fresh and the hotel is perfectly place close to the public gardens, beacon hill & only a 20 minute walk to downtown. Would come back any day!

You get what you pay for. 1. The cleaning person left one bag of trash in my room the 1st day. 2. The second day I was rushed. The cleaning person kept knocking on my door. 3. The rooms windows are not sound proof so you will hear a lot of the noise from the club goers and bikes on Saturdays. 4. This is more like a hostel hotel except you get a private bathroom. 5. The rooms are tiny. 6. Checking in they are really nice until you check out. If you complain about any issues you had they will likely not care. 7. Their coffe machine is literally never working and no place to get your own hot water. Otherwise the rooms are comfy and pleasant.
