Hotel was near the airport, but had to drive for all attractions. Was recommended with flight. It's hard to pick a hotel with limited knowledge of the area. So we picked one that was on the website. Was central to Chicago and Walkegan. We were there for Navy Recruit Command Graduation. Air conditioner in our room did not work very well. Windows to the outside did not open. Charged for wifi in rooms. Wifi should be free in rooms for paying guests. Was able to connect free at Starbucks in the lobby. Hotel attendant were nice and accommodating.

Our arrival flight was late evening-there was a big issue with the driver who was 40 min late. He came with a van that did not accommodate all the travelers . This occurred on Feb 5th.

Beware if hidden fees like 25 dollars for parking and 25 dollars for breakfast

My husband and I went for our 9yr wedding anniversary. Loved it!

The front desk was super and restaurant had good food. Staff was super helpful and nice.

The hotel was great and the room was comfortable. The only complaint we had was the swimming pool and jacuzzi was rather small for the size of the hotel and the pool water temperature was too cold.

The food at the restaurant was great and I've never had martini delivered to my table with such speed. Room was what one would expect from the Westin, although I did see a single black hair in the bath tub. Learned after the fact the the hotel offers free late check out (3pm) on Sunday's.

The hotel was nice- it hosted a workshop I had for the weekend, but the weekend started poorly with the airline losing our luggage. The hotel was helpful with assisting us in finding nearby places to buy some clothing and necessities for the weekend (the luggage was never found). Giordano's was across the parking lot (LOVE IT!!) and it was a short cab ride to a large area with many dining options. I'd stay here again if I had a short trip to Chicago, it was convenient to O'Hare.

I was not expecting to stay the night in Chicago so I was not prepared at all. The hotel was great! You can never go wrong with the Westin and the price was amazing! Staff very friendly as well!

Excellent hotel with amazing, welcoming staff. This hotel has by far the kindest staff! The hotel is ideally located near O Hare airport, walking distance to Chicago subway system and the an outlet mall. There is an airport shuttle as well. You can be downtown by subway within 30 minutes. The restaurant offers great food selection but is a bit pricey. The amenities are great.

Loved the new fitness rental gear feature. I had forgotten my sneaks but no sweat! :)

great hotel stay. many places to lounge. resto on site. starbucks on site. very comfortable and calm hotel. the beds are dreamy.

My only complaint is that we were not notified of the $25 parking fee!

Stay was wonderful. Rooms smelled clean and were comfortable. Refrige and micro not in every room.

Westin is clean, professional and each experience I have had have all been great. Definitely recommend.

The room was great - roomier than 3-star hotels, very comfortable beds, fantastic bed linens, and so much more. Everything in the room was clean, in a working order, and just pleasant to touch or use. I visited this hotel for a tango festival. For that events, we used 4 meeting rooms that were also very nice in terms of decor, lighting, cleanness. My only complain is that the AC setting was too low in the lobby and first floor, it was uncomfortably cold to sit (since there is free internet only in the lobby). The chairs were great, though. Another minor complaint is that the parking lot was totally packed, so it was difficult to find a parking space. Once we parked at the valet parking for $35 fee bc there was no lots available. And their parking tickets did not work 2 out of 3 times we used them, so the first time we paid the full day fee of $35 instead of discounted $10, and the second time we had to repark and go back to the reception to get a new ticket. The staff was extremely friendly and useful however, they resolved all issues in no time. At the end, we get refunded for all extra parking spending, it's just inconvenience to go to the reception every time we had to leave the parking lot. I do not stay in hotels too often, so my review is based on a very limited hotel experience and very modest personal requirements. Overall, I believe that this hotel is a great value for the price I got in the given location.

Very convenient location - however, parking is $25/night which was not clear when I made the reservation. Even so, this hotel was a good value if you don't mind staying outside of the city

The hotel was great. The staff at the lobby check-in was nice. He signed me on the card to get points and gave me a $10 discount each day on parking fee. Our room was at the tenth floor looking toward the apartments and airport direction. The view was beautiful. The room itself was spacious, comfortable, and at an average cleanliness. The cons of the room are that it doesn't have a microwave, the bathroom has an order, the bathtub did not drain the water while we shower, and there were only three large towels provided for our room. We have four people and wish there are more towels in the room; however, we could have asked the front desk for more towels. The shower itself is kid friendly. The location of the hotel was great. It's nears Chicago. It is a great place to stay if you are planning to tour Chicago. Also the hotel is just minutes walk from the train station. So you can easily take the train to downtown Chicago.

Arrived tired and worn out. Restaurant food was exceptional. Room was client and clean and we were able to open a window. An important feature to us as we get tired of hotel air when when travel. the price was great for what we got and we will stay there again if we are in the area.

Just attended a 3-day conference here (flight & hotel "package"). CONS: Unfortunately, no USB ports are available in my standard, two - bed room (#607) that I could find in any fixture. They just remodeled this entire hotel in 2013 and 2014 and missed this important thing. The bathroom is lit only from the vanity side, leaving the shower area darker (no overhead light source). No exhaust fan/function could be found. No night-light in the bathroom so you have to turn on all the lights to see during the middle of the night. On my arrival, the bathroom contained 3 bath towels, 2 hand towels, 0 washcloths, and no lush Robe that people love. Had to call the desk to get. No mini-fridge (even though the dresser had obvious place built-in). The room doors close loudly even attempting gently, and I was surprised at how many doors close around 3am (presuming stewardesses leaving that have to show up for 5am flights since I saw lots of them there during my stay). Space under/around doors does not provide much sound insulation from the halls. Presuming that is part of the ventilation plan (cool air in via the hvac, and proceeds out to the hall for central return?) For these reasons, The room's first day impressions left me disappointed. The rest of the stay went smooth. PROS: Airport Shuttle every 15-20 minutes or so. Starbucks Coffee & tea in the single-cup room coffeemaker with creamers, sweeteners, stir sticks, napkins, 2 cups w/ to-go lids. Yes,their beds are nice, plush. Hairdryer, ironing board, closet safe present. Large screen TV. Granite vanity top. Magnifying mirror on V-arm on the wall, but no mirrors available to see the back side of your hair or clothing. They need a 2-sided mirror (one side regular, other side magnifying). Nice, large desk surface. Furniture& carpet all seemed new. No mildew smells or carpet odors. Digital thermostat whose system worked well--the a.c. did a good job of removing the shower humidity. Waterfall showerhead is interesting ( & very high up) but there was an accessory water wand available. My room was not on the side with a view (see photo) but I wanted quiet and it was. Looking down from my window, there is a large ground-floor roof complex seen, that keeps traffic away and no-one is out there (for example) making noises in a pool party until late night. Starbucks in the Lobby too. OTHER OBSERVATIONS/THOUGHTS: They offer a $5 daily credit on check-in if you "go green" and not have the maid service the room. Careful, this means they don't refill your coffee supplies either (I asked that of the check-in desk lady). The Lobby and public areas of the hotel may be "4-star" but I can only see 3-stars for the rooms (you know, the "lipstick on a pig" thing). Perhaps the more expensive rooms are better. The hotel restaurant (they are always expensive, so don't expect any bargains) called "Benchmark" has real good food but the lunch service is globally slow from beginning to end, and didn't seem to appreciate that conference attendees don't have all day to sit around. Experienced that on 2 of 2 days, with different wait-staff. Dinner service seemed a bit faster (1 of 1). The other dinners & lunches were eaten elsewhere because of this. Did I tell the check-out desk about all this when they ask "did you enjoy your stay"? No, of course not. They don't want to hear it and I don't believe it does any good. I believe they probably think that patrons that complain are just trying to get comp'd somehow. I'll probably try staying across the street at the Marriott Suites O'Hare the next time I attend this conference.
