The hotel stay was pretty good. The room was very clean but there was no microwave in the room and the bed stand was so small my boyfriend and I could hardly fit anything on it (we had to share one small bed stand). We had never been in a hotel where you had to pay for Wi-Fi so that was strange and no free breakfast, but the staff was all very friendly. I really liked the water feature near the front and how the place was decorated overall.

The hotel itself was beautiful. You walk in and there's a little waterfall and the staff were very polite and helpful. It's one of the nicest hotels I've ever stayed at. My room was beautiful and very clean! I especially liked the motion light in the bathroom which is nice if you have to get up in the middle of the night but don't want a bright light shining in your face. And I liked that there was a safe in the room as well. But most importantly, the hotel felt safe and so did the area around it. I was a bit concerned because Chicago has a reputation, but I didn't feel unsafe at any point. My friend and I also ate at bar and the food was delicious! Though the one host guy seemed grumpy every night. That dude needs to learn how to smile. I also liked that there was a Starbucks downstairs as the first day it was pouring rain and my friend and I didn't have time to go and drive anywhere for breakfast. There was also a lovely gift shop with beautiful trinkets and such. I'm a sucker for buying things from every place I travel as mementos. Overall, beautiful hotel, lovely staff and made for a wonderful trip!
