Well kept property and centrally located to everything. Transportation, restaurants, and shopping are all within walking distance. The krave station was a perfect bonus to our stay. The selection of hot drinks was a welcomed treat for those chilly days. The lobby, was very cozy and inviting. From the artwork to the fireplace, made the environment breathtaking. Unfortunately, we did not eat at the restaurant but they always seemed to have a nice crowd in there. Although the floor squeaked in our room, it was not a deal breaker. The cold water is filtered for drinking and there was a basket with items to workout with. Which I thought was a nice touch. If I am ever in Chicago again, I can see myself staying here again.

Disappointing

The location & size of room was great. We had the king suite river view. They supply a tea kettle with no tea. I answered a pre-stay survey saying we were celebrating a birthday & no one even said happy birthday. The front desk was not friendly & my requests (yoga mat & microwave) at check in were ignored. I had to ask 3 times for the microwave & when they finally brought one, they wanted to move the coffee table to use that or suggested putting it on the ottoman, the window seat, or a luggage rack!!! I got an apology, finally, on the 4th call but was treated abruptly & never heard from management. After the first day I adjusted my expectations to expect no service. I would choose this place for the location at a good price only.

Wonderful location, nice decor and comfortable lobby area for relaxing. We also enjoyed the onsite restaurant, Perilla for a unique experience. We loved being able to sit on the raised bench in front of the windows in our room. It's a bit high, but our kids like climbing up there. The pillows are a little scratchy, but overall comfortable to lounge up there. The staff was warm and welcoming. Our room was comfortable, clean, and well stocked. We appreciated the cleaning staff refreshing our room with new towels each night. If you like the hustle and bustle of the city, then this hotel is wonderful.
