Location was close to several dining & food options like Lakewood restaurant inside the hotel, Miller’s Pub, Starbucks, and several smaller restaurants. There are two parking garages right next to the hotel. The hotel and room was clean and elegant, the shower was nothing special but was relaxing with great pressure and hot water, and the bed was comfortable. About the only negatives I noticed was that some of the wallpaper was peeling, and several of the elevator buttons didn’t light up which was annoying because you weren’t sure if you actually pushed them. Also, the suite our friends stayed in was beautiful! Would definitely stay here again.

What a beautiful place to stay! So much history so beautifully preserved and honored by the Hilton Brand. One could stay there and have no need to go anywhere at all. This amazing hotel provides all services. I also used the Day Spa with great delight and was pleased at my pedicure! We shall definitely stay again.

It was generally good but it wasn't fully handicap accessible. Getting to the pool was such a hassle. You can't get there without using stairs. No one was there to run the lift. Waiting for security to come run it is a ridiculus way to give access. I will not go back because of that. And also the destination charge... so silly and unnecessary. And not helpful at all. The room was disappointing. The rooms used to be so charming, furnished south antique looking furniture, beautiful drapes etc. Now they are to modern and plain. Nothing special at all. I was disappointed and don't return.

The double beds were very small. There was no coffee maker, refrigerator, or microwave in the room. There was no free coffee anywhere in the hotel. The shower had long hairs in it when we arrived. The mini bar fridge contained several sandwich wraps that had expired 2 months earlier. The pool wasn't as warm as we had hoped, but wasn't cold and the underwater lights and bubblers were nice. The spa and gym were nice. The lobby decor was spectacular. And we enjoyed all the photos of famous people in the hallways. Front desk responded quickly to text messages. I don't think I will stay there again.
