I’ve been staying at Palmer House for 25 years and it never disappoints!

Initially the room was not clean; but we were immediately given another room that was.

Pool was closed for renovations. Wasn't very clean under the bed. The front desk was not helpful when I needed to find a 24 hour pharmacy and told me just to 'google it'

The environment was very unique I loved the lobby and everything. What I didn’t like was that we weren’t informed that the pool was under construction.

I loved the decor inside the room and in the lobby. It was gorgeous

We stayed overnight as a family during the Christmas season to enjoy downtown Chicago and sightsee. The location is perfect for walking to the must-see tourist spots, even with small children. This historic hotel is decorated beautifully with a grand tree in the lobby and really makes for a special visit with family. The pool was temporarily closed, but we were pleasantly surprised that our room included free ice skate rental at the McCormick ice skating rink just a block away in front of the "bean" and near the Millenium Park Christmas tree.

Gorgeous lobby, great value for the location but the bed killed my back.

Pool still closed. Would of booked elsewhere if we new. Bar closed way too early on New Years. Watched fireworks down on the river and when everyone came back we couldn’t get a drink. Had to go elsewhere. This should change for next years New Year’s Eve. I would suggest staying open till 2AM.

This hotel is in DESPERATE need of upgrades. There were stains from leaky pipes all over the ceiling. The heat didn’t work well. The rooms are really dark and dated. I can’t believe I spent so much to spend the night there. I’m from Chicago and do staycations regularly. I will neeeever return.

Love the old decor. Staff was nice. Good bar. Need to familiarize myself with area restaurants, but all in all a good experience.0

Love the architecture; the lobby, wide hallways, good bar, helpful employees. Great location for us.

Upon arrival we were treated to an upgrade to Executive floor and privileges and it did not disappoint! Friendly, clean, and beautifully decorated for the holidays!

Everything was great there were 9 of us in our group a holiday gathering in Chicago and we all loved this hotel and the Christmas tree was wonderful
